Das Original ist von einer Songwriterin aus New York namens Kara DioGuardi. Kara schreibt sehr viele Lieder für Ashlee Simpson, aber auch für Ricky Martin und viele andere Künstler und TV-Serien. Juli fanden dieses Lied ziemlich gut, haben einen neuen Text drauf gemacht und es quasi als Coverversion noch mit auf´s Album gepackt. Ashlee Simpson hat das Lied sozusagen auch "gecovert" und von der Songwriterin bekommen. Die Musik zu dem Lied ist also weder von Ashlee noch von Juli ;-)
Welche Band hat denn noch nie was gecovert? hmmm ich finde, solange nicht jedes lied gecovert ist, dass die Aussage einer Band nicht verloren geht und dieses Lied ist wie für Juli gemacht ^^
als ich das vor Jahren das erste Mal gehört hab, hab ich mich schlappgelacht! Wenn man das Orginal kennt ist Juli´s Version eher peinlich..obwohl das restliche Album ja sehr gelungen ist ;-)

like them both but love juli wayy more! so just drop it. no one really cares. both great songs no reason to fight over it. it's not like Ashlee did anything about it so it's fine live laugh and enjoy the music!
ashlee simpson's autobiography is literally the same song. with different lyrics. if you disagree you must be seriously lacking something somewhere. both songs claim to be written by completely different people but they are FAR too similar to be merely coincidence. im a huge fan of this band, so i give them the benefit of the doubt, although autobiography was released before es ist juli. i'd love to know what the deal is.

yeah it s like i said . ashlee simpson copied the song from juli. but who cares? both versions are cool . in my opinion it s not a big deal that ashlee take the song. i think juli can be proud beause an american star takes on of their songs for himself. i mean what german band can say that?

Das Album mit den beiden Liedern (von dieser Ashlee und Juli) kam beinahe zeitgleich raus. Beide 2004.

The song was written neither by Juli nor by Ashlee Simpson but by a songwriter from New York whose name is Kara DioGuardi.
Hope this puts an end to this silly discussion and lets you concentrate on whether you like this version or not.
