  • same page, same rage....great

  • In a strange way, she reminds me of Jim Morrison. Singing and poetry. Wonderful talent.

  • She is a very unique musical artist

  • I bet she swallows.

  • non

  • She sounds more like ursula rucker than any one of the so called" beats". Pretty awesome and beyond category really. Descriptions just describe a point of reference which usually overlap and eventually mean nothing in the vocabulary of a mature artist or person for that matter, or when describing them. It's like naming the nameless or counting sins..useless

  • Amy Winehouse is just a commercial phenomenon. Annette is an artist. There is no comparison.

  • This song is great. The performance, rather - it's mesmerizing.

And then, I'm hit with a brick in the face! The switch to that other language is so abrupt, and the sound of that other language so unnatural (here), that the whole thing is ruined.

A damn shame. I need to listen to some other song of hers to forget this.

  • @oYoYebutu You can't be serious. She subtly slips into "that other language" for the last 30 seconds or so and you call that a "brick in the face"? Mind boggling. Are you so ethnocentric that other languages are repulsive to you? It's Portuguese... or Spanish (?), one of the ROMANCE languages anyway, sexy the way she utters it, I don't even know what she's saying and it's still a turn on.

  • @loop66 it isn't portuguese for sure.

  • @oYoYebutu 3'10" in one language (English, that is), then, bam! another one (not Portuguese, not Spanish; for what it's worth, it is Italian).

You are, of course, free to enjoy mixing cows and sheep.

P.S. If it weren't for the Internet, who could ever pass judgement on others without having a clue as to who they are?

  • @oYoYebutu

    yep italian .

  • Reminds me of Salena Godden ("Snooker").

  • She's a genius !!

  • i've done most of the drugs she has mentioned in the PAST , there is so much more intellect here .potent .

  • Annette Peacock is actually doing an Art Form - which I LOVE -

Called 'BEAT POETRY' from the 'BEATNIK' Era....LOVE IT!!!

  • @atisaseret yea they call it rap now or hip hop

  • @SacredSocietyAP - Sorry to disappoint you - but BEAT POETRY is Light Years away from Rap & Hip-Hop - not that I'm dissing Rap or Hip-Hop, mind you. But BEAT POETRY was a combination of many Elements that was not ONLY Poetry with a Beat, but used different Elements of Music, Art (Painting, Sculpture, etc), Enactments, Interaction with the Audience and many other things - if anything, BEAT POETRY is actually closer to PUNK/NEW WAVE.

  • she's so fucking hot......her voice can give a guy a hard on......must be awesome to fuck her

  • Annette Peacock has always been way ahead of her time!..Great Post!

  • Lost this album years ago courtesy of an unmanageable lifestyle and never found it again. Thanks for this.

  • @sheykhzekker there are loads! like arthur russell for example, also a good example of a great musician forgotten by time in rather sad circumstances.

  • Stumbled across this and it penetrated me.BIG TIME.

  • Favourite song from a very good album. It's a pity I put it too close to my central heating. The vinyl has molten.

  • polarize me embrace moi bon bon. the truth is obscure in this age of invincibly cured. BenoitDavid/AlanWhite or Bruford/Peacock! The eternal battle lingers on.

  • radical in every way, bravo.

  • annette le paon excellente chanteuse

  • I like this better than the hearts and flowers romantic crap.

  • once i pick my jaw up off the floor...

  • we shall begin to...tango!

  • BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • she needs to be penetrated...

    ...she sings!

  • Tremendous Artist

  • excuse me?

DMT and MESCALINE are GOOD for your body and your mind

  • This reminds me of stuff Jill scott does

  • I think she's a fantastic poet with a Marmite voice. Can't decide if I love it or hate it!

  • yeah she's great. first heard of her on the morcheeba back to mine album. PONY

  • For me, Annette Peacock is the most unappreciated musician of all time. This song shows perfectly her wildly sassy rhythmical and tonal ability. Amy Whitehouse only approaches her for example.

  • Sorry! -Amy Winehouse

  • I guess it's Amy Whitewine...

  • Just don't tell her you called her Amy Whitehouse...could you get you in trouble - or at least it could have before last November saved the world (unless it's too late...)

  • Can it have been over twenty years since I first heard X-Dreams on CBC FM?
