Another tip you could add to your list is to have a phone specifically for traveling. I bought myself a TracFone prepaid phone which I use because the minutes are cheap and they dont charge for roaming -- long distance costs the same as local calls. Hey guys quick tip you can save money with airfare if you fly out on saturdays I know many people that save hundreds just from flying saturday instead of friday. Tickets are way cheaper on saturdays.
If you have a BJ's Wholesale store in your area, they have car rental coupons that will save you 25% as well as free days or free upgrades. You don't have to be a member of BJ's to use these coupons. Sam's and Costco's may have the coupons too. Thanks for all of your saving tips.

If you use your Mastercard to pay for your rental car, you have automatic rental insurance if you decline the insurance offered at the counter. Just read your credit card agreement for the official rules and regulations.

If you are visting family, I found the best way to save money with luggage! Is to shipping from UPS or Fedx! That is what my uncle did, when he came for July 4th weekend! He said that he save about $50! I think this has to be the best idea about traveling!

Also if you have one bag that over 50llb at check in you have the right to go through your baggage and remove or switch items around to avoid paying the extra baggage fee. Also if you check your bags in online you can avoid extra fees as well.
Also, most hotels in popular cities offer a shuttle that will take you places at no extra cost.
My family and I just had a trip to Las Vegas Instead of flying there we drove there.. and we spend less than $50 on gas thats from Southern California not that far but still i think we save alot. "

you can even use your triple A at some restaurants like Shakey's. Southwest Airlines doesn't charge for your first bag as well.
