  • check engine light is on....

  • No no no, the engine was trying to escape from the car, that's all.

  • the rock busted in that one

  • Tilte should be "Top Doorslammer (Pro Mod) Hernia"

  • dave rock

  • and what yall learned from this ???? = no metal can transmit that power to the transmission.... or any material known by us so far.........

  • fail

  • well thats not good

  • If I were given one dollar for each frame of this video, I'd have one dollar

  • filmed with a patato

  • @FransjeFSC older film in slow mo is chunky. in realtime 1X this would be a 1 second video

  • Nice slideshow

  • Someone forgot the last bolt xD

  • looked like it snapped an engine mount clean off

  • Thats why u strap them up. If not that blower would have taken out a jet over head.. lol

  • thats one expensive backfire

  • Shit'll buff out

  • no sound ?!?!!? not good !

  • yeah, boys thats anytime with a dragster,it was good!

  • Knew he should of used a zip tie..

  • lol

  • Rock On

  • that's what happens when you buy your parts at Walmart

  • @seizetheweakened I wish they sold blowers at Walmart

  • Garbage

  • if i had 1$ for every frame in the video i had 1 $

  • @unbee73 if i had 1$ for every generic youtube comment ive seen.. well i wouldnt be on youtube, i would be out on my 10 million dollar yaught with my supermodel wife sipping the finest beer provided by my personal assistant..

  • @fergus1494 let me know when you got your 10 million :)

  • @unbee73 thats just the boat mate ;)

  • @fergus1494 ;D sure ...

  • @fergus1494 btw, i already have my dollar :)

  • That video proved he doesnt know how to set up a blower...positive thing now he can allways scap that ugly beast

  • Haha if that blower wasnt strapped down it would be in another galaxy now LOL

  • bummer...

  • Lets ROCK ..

  • Thats what you call true american muscle ....FAIL!

  • @basetpk Actually that's what we call Pro Modified. If you don't think any auto racing engines, American or otherwise, making horsepower measured in the thousands will occasionally experience a failure you're living in fantasy land.

  • 0:08 guy in the back: boo you fkn STINK!

  • Rock just went limp.

  • ooops

  • that car sure did ROCK lol

  • No flames?

  • thats why turbos are better...

  • @cnknguyen turbos are even worse maintenance... god they are such a pain in the ass. i have a hellion T76 kit on my 03 terminator and its wonderful, makes alotta power... probably the most you can get with a street legal kit. but je-sus the maintenance is a pain, oil back pressure and etc. i thought that it was just Hellion kits.... but turbos are just a gift from hell

  • @need2speed94 Ive been daily driving a 500hp civic for the last 3 years with a Precision Billet 6765, only maintenance issues ive had were burning up too much fuel and too many tires. Just sounds like you are doing it wrong.

  • @cnknguyen ive heard precision turbos are great, and no like i said there are many that have had the same issues with the hellion kits. the reason why theyre so popular especially for mustangs is because they make so much power! id say they're the equivalent of kenne bell for turbochargers. its a bittersweet buy, if you want the most power, your gonna have to know how to get through the kinks. personally i have been considering either an HP kit if i bu a 351w swap or an On3 turbo kit

  • @cnknguyen whats your set up if you mind me asking. Im getting ready to build my first d16, he wants to go turbo and Im trying to talk him into all motor.

  • is this mark holland?

  • that camera man doesnt even flinch. hes devoted.

  • ROCK! *Booom*

  • all i have to say is.....

    HAHA!

  • hes a muppet anyway.... owes alot of people alot of money... counldn't of happened to a nicer guy.

  • Only 5K put the other on.

  • just mighty mend that shit back together

  • @fighter1881 Haha Cold weld is cheaper...

  • farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk

  • Duct Tape + super Glue?

  • that made me cry

  • thats sad man alloy bolts

  • EPIC FAIL!!

  • wow. u ROCK! vroom vroom

  • JB weld and some duct tape should fix it.

  • Actually not as bad as it looked. Only 4 broken aluminum bolts designed to break under excess strain. Supercharger was PSI D screw blower and can be turned easily by hand not the usual 600+ hp. I worked with the car and actually took the video.

  • well now that engines a metal rock

  • give thumbs up if you thought that was "ROCK" =D

  • @laugh101theblaze always saing thumbs up... just shut up man.. --'' what annoying thing...

  • Spilling out the diaper

  • rock but no roll

  • make in chine.

  • @Eminesty no its made in USA. lolz

  • There goes $100,000 down the toilet.

  • @MyMIXmedia sponsors pay for it

  • rock out with your blower out

  • hahahah ya like the blower says ROCK (now hes gotta kick it to make it move) lol

  • fail XD

  • oh no!

  • Hiccup

  • that doesnt rock so much anymore

  • dang that sucks

  • could have been alot worse.. but i can think of alot better ways to spend thousands of dollars then having to fix that shit lol

  • o ya u rock all right your moving like one anyway

  • HAHA BUILT FORD TOUGH haha jkjk

  • a blown blower.....woohoo

  • Actually, that's usually the results of misfiring and excessive nitromethane in the cylinder when it fires, it can either blow off the cylinder head, split the block in half or backfire and blow off the supercharger. Btw those superchargers take more power to turn over than a stock 6.2 hemi can create.

  • @TheDrakenZ Your saying it takes several HUNDRED horsepower to turn a twins screw blower? I find that difficult to believe.

  • @joshuwa88 I dont know the reasoning behind it, i researched these cars with the NHRA Board and then checked NHRA Forums and such, they all said the same facts maybe worded a little differently. Those engines run on nitromethane which is a man-made hydrocarbon with more bonded oxygen molecules so less oxygen is required for combustion, it burns in a 2:1 mix with oxygen instead of 9:1 or something around that range. So there's more fuel and air in the cylinder. over 7000 HP From those things.

  • @TheDrakenZ I just dont think an engine like that would have so much parasitic loss from a power adder. However, i would be curious to see that site. Even though I know i'm alway right (engineer complex, we all got it) I leave the possibility open that i'm not. lol

  • @joshuwa88 lol well keep in mind, the supercharger isnt able to be turned over by a 500 horsepower motor, because the supercharger is meant to supply enough boost to power an 8000 horsepower motor. lol

  • @joshuwa88 You should be aware top fuelers use 14-71 superchargers, which is already alot of rotating mass, not to mention they are overdriven to create the immense boost pressures (in excess of 50 PSI).

with that in mind, the minimum amount of horsepower to drive one of these blower is nearly 850 HP. Increasing the blower drive ratio further will require even more HP.

  • wtf

  • wtf

  • once you mash the thottle you got to hold it there. you cant just blip it

  • it like broke off??

  • that shit just came apart ? WTF ?

  • FAIL !

  • what the hell just happened?!?!

  • 100g gone in 1/2 second

  • @trav1971 not that much money

  • @trav1971 not really

  • hes lucky the belts held that blower down. Otherwise NASA would be takin a souvenir back from the moon

  • lol

  • damn strait I saw a guy get a nitro backfire that blew the hood scoop off the car about 200 feet into the air

  • Well, that is what the supercharger retainer straps are for, you can see them, looks like seatbelts there ^.^

  • @SuperMuise lol 4real

  • @SuperMuise Yeah haha, or they would have thought that aliens had supercharged UFO's.

  • @NewtProductions imagine a turbocharged nitromethane UFO, or in other words, promod/topfuel with wings ^^

  • @Roadzery those superchargers take more power to turn over than a stock 426 hemi produces. They also have turbocharged nitromethane funnies they're pretty sick too.

  • @TheDrakenZ yeah, i know the drill :)

  • @SuperMuise the diaper holds it down, not the belts

  • @SuperMuise Plus the blower would've possibly took out a few spectators in the process

  • damn the whole shit collapsed

  • ILL BASH YOUR MUM

  • jajajajajajajajajajajaja k cagante ke te pac eso jajajajaaja

  • that sucks

  • minha fusca nao kebra

  • there went some money

  • That thing should have had a burst panel on the inlet manifold....? So it fails and not everything else.

    Burst Plate EPIC FAIL

  • shut up dude you dont know shit haha. dial up the flux capaciter

  • any back fire is a bad one with a blower in top, seen the hood of a grad prix fly 20ft in the air cause of a back fire it had the 3.8 superchaged engine

  • That car won't be rockin anymore..

  • got enough engine in that thing ???

  • OUCH, talk about no less than 20k down the drain.

  • 20k more like 100k

  • really that much i was thinking it was a manifold and the charger that needs the replacement and thats bout it. I guess i could be way off though.

  • why a delorian

  • OUCH

  • Yep. They don't like it when you open the throttle and slam it back shut on 'em.

  • yep. nowhere for the boost to go at low rpm like that.

  • Top Doorslammer was created because some people wanted an own class where they could win. Pro Mod cars have more restrictions, but they still kick TD's asses.

    It's hilarious.

  • surely was a rock. didn't move.

  • LMAO!!! leave it to HILLBILLES

  • To what? Have more money then you? Doesn't that make you a sub-hill billy?

  • this is mark hollands blue thunder charger! he won the nz title 3 times in a row and dominated with records left right and centre. unfortunately the team we bankrupt but steve keyes has bought the whole operation so this is a definite sign of things to come!

  • What ever happened to steves merk? have herd its getting built again..that thing wined

  • If yall think this problem only occurs in drag racing, think again; when the Obama's gang of thugs get a whole at the auto industries, your typical "family car" might "cough & bang" every five miles down the roads!

  • damn straight

  • your right, we should have given the auto industry billions of dollars of taxpayer money,...again, and without any kind of oversight so that they could reward themselves with yachts and private jets, squandering all that "bailout" money so that they could again ask the government for more without doing anything to improve the financial solvency of the companies besides laying off blue collar employees.

what do you do when you've nicked an artery, grab a bandaid?

  • Amen. Let the free market decide what businesses survive. It works just like natural selection. If you mismanage your business so bad that it goes under, it should do just that. It leaves an opening in the market for a new business to expand. What in the hell did we expect a failed company to do with a bunch of free money? This goes for every company that was bailed out by the fed, i.e. auto, banks, and airlines. CAPITALISM IS DYING IN AMERICA!!!!

  • I 100% agree with your statement. But i will bring up this question. What would we do without gm,ford, and chrysler products? We would be forced to buy a bunch of foreign made automobiles. We already do that but a bunch of us off roaders and true american motors enthusiasts would be devistated. I would just like your take on what we would of become if some of our best car companies went down and left the smaller ones to thrive up and become the top.

  • I will start by saying that Ford survived without any handouts. Regardless, it is almost impossible to predict what would happen. Perhaps a group of designers and engineers gather some investors to buy up all of GM's assets to start their own production. Also, Toyota is just about as American as you get these days. Or perhaps we start to get some of the brands that are currently only available in Europe or some of the American (Ford) cars that are only sold there. Diesel option too.

  • yes, ford has done well with no handouts at all whatsoever. And i never gave my question much thought until after i sent it, but what i came up with was basically...a company like gm or chrysler prod. would never go down,no way, somebody out there would for sure take them over and build them up even stronger than before. deisel would be an option, i remember a gal telling me that by 2010 ford wanted to make all their engines deisel motored. strange if you ask me. So how about your take on that?

  • @kladivous more like its being killed by big government.

  • VH CHARGER

  • whoops

  • Comment removed

  • exposure1453 you are right when you say nitrous explodes and thats exactly what happended when he opened the valve for the nitro there was too much preasure of nitro on the blower which caused it to explode

  • Blower backfire is caused by the buildup of fuel pressure followed by a quick closing of the butterflies. Nitrous isn't used in the blower cars. So it has nothing to do with nitrous pressure. (Technically nitrous doesn't explode either. It's an oxidizer. It can cause fuel to burn more rapidly, but itself doesn't burn.)

  • Comment removed

  • yer what he said

  • more often caused by lean condition or valvetrain failure.

  • I'd agree with that. I guess I was trying more to dispute Percy's claim of nitrous being involved, and the fact that it explodes (or the fact that he can't differentiate between nitrous and nitro).

  • ouch

  • dont wann sound like a retard or anything but how can a blower backfire?

I know how nitrous backfires happen and why but not blowers...explain?

  • 'banging the blower' or 'sneezing' as it used to be called is usually the result of a sudden lean mixture caused by a fuel pressure drop when the pedal is mashed... this can happen for many reasons....but just imagine the forces involved when you have a plenum full of fuel and air under pressure... thank God for safety straps...

  • right on Lee37726

  • some people laugh at the straps, shows you where they are for right there

  • I know, i get asked that all the time. I should just start showing people youtube vids.

  • lol at the duct tape comment, if you cant duck it....FUCK IT!!!!

  • Heck yea if duct tape cant fix it nothin can

  • it is pretty cool though

  • blower straps were wave of the future.. in the 1980's

  • The guy who was driving just mashed on the throttle when the engine exploded! Watch the butterflys!

  • Nothin like a good engine builder...Lol

  • Safety first and the straps did there job.

  • sweet, i learned two things from this... why straps are on blowers, and why they call them blowers.. fuck i feel like a goddamn scholar

  • lmao at 2 things: 1 the scholar comment, and 2 your youtube name

  • The straps are part of a ballistic 'blanket' to prevent pieces from blowing out and killing someone.

  • haha ur name and comment are fukn hilarious! in a good way

  • eh.. some duck tape will fix that one

  • Oh, i see the problem already he installed the engine on top the hood and the blower under, the blower can't carry all that weight, laughing.......
