@kentishtowncowboy Burned into every young males brain who was a lad in the 70s I reckon...they looked beautiful- all of em- on here-Ruth looks great on this esp I think. They're still good looking women now -last time I saw four of 'em- 'bout a year ago I think. But..."who put time on the 'fast' setting" eh?
That was incredible. Great music, great vid and... Pan's People! Thanks for putting it here. I grew up with PP and TOTP - Thursday nights I think it was on in the 70s. Can't believe only 400 views.
@hognose991 Cheers for the comment. (The number of views dont convcern me..Id rather have 400, or 4 even, who want to view it than 4 million who couldnt give a toss. Im not 'selling' anything. Plus its majorly something for me to look at too!) Aye, THurs nights 7:30 pm, an institutionand an icon of the 70s (actually 69 to 76 Pans people). This music is also from the 70s (77) and also my own favourite ever solo artist. I think they all look stunning here on this (slo mo edited) routine!
@buniluvr Hello Julie. Thing is, see, you're not a male who was a teenager in the 70s in the UK. Pans People were a group of dancers every week on 'Top Of The Pops', who prob' advanced puberty in a whole generation of young lads (they had some quite raunchy routines at times- though tame by todays standards). The 2 great things out the UK in the 70s were John Martyn and Pans People, I think. For me this a blend of 'thinking mans totty', dreamlike dance, & the most divine music.!! Bliss!!
Well that was a pleasurable experience......think I will have to definitely give this a second viewing in the very near future...perhaps when I,m feeling a little more jaded than usual ...just to lift my spirits a tad ......keep it up auld cok....
@electricragtime Ok Kev, I *know* *you* remember Pans People. Course they never danced to Johns stuff (TOTP!?..our John?!)..so I, erm, 'made 'em'!!
Other thing is, every UK male had his favourite. Yer can tell me thine old lad...I wont tell the Missus. Like I say, this is the kind of thing I'm sure will await me when/if I enter the pearly gates...and as much bramley apple pie as I can eat.
BTWay, serious now,..this is a *bloody good* version of small hours dont you think?-Ian
@ianmcgeachy Louise Clark did it for me.....I,m pretty certain that I wont make the other side of the pearly gates....and if I did ever reach the gates... I would probably be thinking about weighing them in..........and yeah its a cracking version of small hours ... I particularly like the synth parts ...it works incredibly well.... I know JM fans won,t want to hear that but its tasty
@electricragtime Think it could be a guitar synth at all? I know he was messing with from about that time and early -mid 80s or so, then eventually he dropped the idea. Though '77 seems too early for a good guitar synth sound I suppose. . This small hours is on the aint no saint box set, it seems like another master track for the One World album.[& my favourite was Ruth, the darkest haired one @ about 4:45 say, purely betwixt me and thee]
@karlake2 Thanks Karl! Love Pans People and John- so I sometimes stick these two together while I learn some video editing. This is a long small hours version by John and no vocals at all !
Each one of these girls had a personality which beamed itself through the camera lens. They were loved by the nation. Great days!

Thanks for this, I've been madly in love with Louise Clark sine I was about 15.
Apparently she married a millionaire businessman, I wonder what she saw in him as opposed to me?
Ah well, can't win 'em all, eh?
