However, your unease is quite legitimate, and I'd be interested to read what you think of my first go, which was "Hitler grasps the xenophobic subtext...etc" which addresses the very point you make.

U2 have never done anything for me. The songs are inconsistent, quality wise. The lyrics aren't poetic or lyrical. The riffs are easily bettered. There is such thing as mainstream you know. The Libertines are signed to an independant label, how can they rival U2? x
