  • This video is kind of Retro, like some of the other great bands experimented in the 80s. Queen is another great band that created some really different videos in that era.

You say Taylor Swift, i say Guns & Roses

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK&ROLL DIE

  • The fist at 2:47 is awesome.

  • some people think kurdtss is actually Terry David Mulligan!!!

  • @ricresch thats too funny

  • Man, I miss the 80's. I'm just not into the crotch-grabbing garbage they have today

  • Bands that write their own music, and play their own music???...how fu-ked up is that...next you'll be telling me that they were actually playing their own instruments...No bloody way!!!...God Bles the 80's something we'll never see again...real artists playing their own music.

  • No one seems to make music like this anymore, it's all samples and drum beats these days. Man, I miss the 80s sometimes.

  • Great stuff!

I think these guys had another song I liked even more. Its video had some grainy footage of men swinging pick axes in it.

    Ring any bells?

  • I'm so enjoying all the Can Rock posted here. I know every word. Thanks kurdtss for posting!

What is Tad Campbell doing now, anyway?

    Thanx...

  • i have tads email we chat once in a while i'll ask him about the old school cd's/tapes

  • ANYONE out there know how to get their hands on CDs or even tapes of their first 3 albums? They were my absolute favourites when I was growing up, and their tapes wore out or got eaten in my old '72 Datsun tape deck. Used to drum along with every song and would love to have ALL of their stuff back in my collection. They (and fans) deserved such a better fate. Miss ya Tad.

  • Yeah this song should be available and I haven't found it yet either.

  • Have you tried E-Bay or Craiglist my friend ?

  • always lked this song

  • RIP Scotty Hall (Lead guitarist)

  • Cool song.

  • Man, every Canadian band from the 80's was so goddamn good

  • Hi Jeffrey,

Growing up in the 80s I never really paid attention to this fact as a kid in Montreal but looking back, you are absolutely right. There was such good Canadian music back then. This song really takes me back. Thanks for pointing this out...eh!

  • @Jeffrey12345678910 Canadians hold THE greatest values on the planet - Americans see dollar signs, Canadians see the future - err....they used to! : (

  • What happened to these guys ? Met them at a party in Vancouver back then ..

  • Anyone know whether this was released in the States?

  • I saw these guys in '85 here in Nanaimo, the other acts were Powder Blues and Chilliwack...great set up

  • great song!

  • Thanks for uploading. I noticed you taped it off an "80s weekend" from MuchMusic. Even that takes me back to the days when that channel still had some semblance of entertainment. Enough of the stupid f*&$ing reality modeling shows and movies aimed at 14 year girls that are presented as "program content" today.

  • that bass guitar tone sounds sweet

  • Man, was life different when this song came out. Great memories and pop.

  • COOL...Good memories !

  • haha Uncle Tad!

Where's these other videos you speak of??

Me and Duncan are currently searching for them.....?

  • OMFG !! Great song and vid. This was taped off the 80's weekend on Much ! I thought I was the only one that used to watch the 80's weekend for the sole purpose of taping favorite songs.

  • I can check with my sister. Also, you might want to check out their website.

  • love it......classic..brings back memories.

  • Excellent track,it's good of you to post it :)

  • Saw these guys live at Expo 86 in Vancouver BC.

  • Were Prince Charles and Lady Di there?

  • me too: hot, mid-summer night, at that open-air venue at the far West end of the grounds, where the RCMP Musical ride was. We went to Fogg on the Bay afterwards, and Brian Adams was sitting next to us.

  • (agreeing with previous post-er about seeing Idol Eyes at Expo 86)

  • great song - my sister is married to Tad's first cousin Mike

  • Where are you? What are you waiting for? This is not a race Are you trying to spend my time, spend time You in the corner, come closer I can see your face I can see it in mine Oh I see it in mine You tell a story like Tokyo Rose I got the picture from the stains on your clothes Didn't they tell you 'bout the shape I'm in? In this condition of carnal sin
  • Confuse me, try to talk

Like those stains on the sidewalk

It's what she said, gets in my head

The sun's up, you wake up

That beauty at the bus stop

Turns my head, go back to bed

You tell a story like Tokyo Rose

I got the picture from the stains on your clothes

Didn't they tell you 'bout the shape I'm in?

In this condition of carnal sin

  • We'll be alright, we'll be alright

We'll be alright, we'll be alright

    I tried to warn you

    I tried to warn you

    We'll be alright, alright

You tell a story like Tokyo Rose

I got the picture from the stains on your clothes

Didn't they tell you 'bout the shape I'm in?

In this condition of carnal sin

  • What school in Vernon? I went to Hillview, Seaton, Kal and VSS.

  • ..his one I dedicate to sweet Leslie Kwon..from the summer of '81..Calgary Alberta..the sexiest girl I ever had the pleasure......

  • sweetest song ever!

  • Awesome song and video, I had to search the web to remember the band name, but I knew the lyrics.

  • Where the hell is Bruce MacKenzie!

  • That song is good and these ladies from old age movies are very beautiful.

  • I loved this song growing up, so cool, it has a unique sound to it, and the message is about a single-man who has a sex problem. They play this song on 999BOBFM in Winnipeg

  • Hey, anyone out there have their Blue Train video? If you think this is good, which it is, you'd be amazed at Blue Train - from around 1989.

  • Heh there. We remastered the more popular Idle Eyes tracks including Blue Train and added saxophone......and will post the old video hopefully with the new music. Thanks for your interest:)-Tad

  • Waiting !

  • my brother's friend's dad is the keyboard player!!!

  • Great under rated Cancon along with Sheriff, Body Double. The 80's were good but you should have been there in the 70's.Wonderful vocalization and harmonies on this tune. Thanks for posting. Remembrances of the tv show "Good Rockin' Tonight".

  • what a gemm! a really 80's nu-wave gem! Excellent post!

  • Such a rare and great tune and so well done! It hurts to think of all the really God Awful Crap that now passes for either music or musicians like Our Lady Peace, the Bare Naked Ladies and Rush to name a few!

  • rush was around b4 these guys probly...and neil pert is the best drummer in the world....

  • Tad Campbell is my cousin (2nd I think)- I'm so proud!

  • wow over 20 years old, great stuff

  • I LOVE THE 80'S! I DOOOO!
