I love to put on "Gone With The Wind" at about 55 minutes of the movie, listen to this song and watch the movie... It's emotional Bliss.... What a great song.
This video is kind of Retro, like some of the other great bands experimented in the 80s. Queen is another great band that created some really different videos in that era.
You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Rolling Stones
You say Justin Bieber, i say Queen
You say Taylor Swift, i say Guns & Roses
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK&ROLL DIE
Only heard this yesterday for the first time, and have to say its now one of my all time favorates ever, I have just seen on Amazon due to be released on June 27th by Wounded Bird records, Idle Eyes and Love's Imperfection the first 2 CDs by them, and Wounded Bird have also released Forward Your Emotions by One To One, god I wish was Canadian and had been growing up in Canada in the 80s early 90s, so much great music.
Good song this is, the title "Tokyo Rose", wasnt that the name for a World War 2 Japanese-American girl broadcaster Iva Toguri D'Aquino, arrested for treason after the war in 1945?
Bands that write their own music, and play their own music???...how fu-ked up is that...next you'll be telling me that they were actually playing their own instruments...No bloody way!!!...God Bles the 80's something we'll never see again...real artists playing their own music.
songs like this should be on rockband game because if im gonna stink at the game at least i would like to stink at music id preferre to try and play instead of the junk on those games
ANYONE out there know how to get their hands on CDs or even tapes of their first 3 albums? They were my absolute favourites when I was growing up, and their tapes wore out or got eaten in my old '72 Datsun tape deck. Used to drum along with every song and would love to have ALL of their stuff back in my collection. They (and fans) deserved such a better fate. Miss ya Tad.
video is great- what we really need are cd's of the first 2 albums. Help us out Tad- get 'em to iTunes or something so we can get a non-lp mp3. Love your music.
Growing up in the 80s I never really paid attention to this fact as a kid in Montreal but looking back, you are absolutely right. There was such good Canadian music back then. This song really takes me back. Thanks for pointing this out...eh!
@Jeffrey12345678910 Canadians hold THE greatest values on the planet - Americans see dollar signs, Canadians see the future - err....they used to! : (
Thanks for uploading. I noticed you taped it off an "80s weekend" from MuchMusic. Even that takes me back to the days when that channel still had some semblance of entertainment. Enough of the stupid f*&$ing reality modeling shows and movies aimed at 14 year girls that are presented as "program content" today.
OMFG !! Great song and vid. This was taped off the 80's weekend on Much ! I thought I was the only one that used to watch the 80's weekend for the sole purpose of taping favorite songs.
me too: hot, mid-summer night, at that open-air venue at the far West end of the grounds, where the RCMP Musical ride was. We went to Fogg on the Bay afterwards, and Brian Adams was sitting next to us.
Where are you? What are you waiting for? This is not a race Are you trying to spend my time, spend time You in the corner, come closer I can see your face I can see it in mine Oh I see it in mine You tell a story like Tokyo Rose I got the picture from the stains on your clothes Didn't they tell you 'bout the shape I'm in? In this condition of carnal sin
I first met Tad at a Ice Rink In South Africa before the band started Great Guy just found him again after sooooooooooooooo many years also wish they would do a new album x
I loved this song growing up, so cool, it has a unique sound to it, and the message is about a single-man who has a sex problem. They play this song on 999BOBFM in Winnipeg
Heh there. We remastered the more popular Idle Eyes tracks including Blue Train and added saxophone......and will post the old video hopefully with the new music. Thanks for your interest:)-Tad
Great under rated Cancon along with Sheriff, Body Double. The 80's were good but you should have been there in the 70's.Wonderful vocalization and harmonies on this tune. Thanks for posting. Remembrances of the tv show "Good Rockin' Tonight".
Such a rare and great tune and so well done! It hurts to think of all the really God Awful Crap that now passes for either music or musicians like Our Lady Peace, the Bare Naked Ladies and Rush to name a few!
I love this song!

Confuse me, try to talk
Like those stains on the sidewalk
It's what she said, gets in my head
The sun's up, you wake up
That beauty at the bus stop
Turns my head, go back to bed
You tell a story like Tokyo Rose
I got the picture from the stains on your clothes
Didn't they tell you 'bout the shape I'm in?
In this condition of carnal sin
