I feel comfortable making my comment in here. I have been an avid Nuke fan, but this whole Brian thing has gotten me confused(especially after yesterday's scenes with Luke & Brian) I liked their scenes and I liked the kiss. I feel like there is chemistry there. Its refreshing. but the folks in the other Luke&Noah clips are going mad saying we should be REAL Nuke fans and hate this, but I don't and I'm really surprised that I like Luke and Brian so far. Its good drama and great acting.

You clearly haven't been watching or know Luke's history. He nearly died from kidney disease, and cannot have any alcohol. He also crashed his car, and nearly killed himself and others. Luke is drinking again, and Brian gave him a great speech on how it would kill him and affect his family. NO ONE else besides Alison even knows about the drinking, or doing anything to help him.

MYrephoebus, you're wrong. if it wasn't for Brian, Luke's foundation would probably in serious trouble now. And he's the only one trying to keep Luke's kidneys healthy. Listen to his speech to Luke. Not even Alison knows about the kidneys. Brian may try to keep them apart later, but there is no proof of that now. Luke ruined the relationship all by himself by being obsessed, immoral and irrational and dishonest. And he hasn't changed.

To the Luke and Noah fan, this would be shocking. Then again, it is a soap and age differences between the two characters are not at all surprising, someone would see Brian as a "dirty old man" and Luke as someone that is extremely dependent on anyone's affection... With that said, this is again a SOAP and it will carry out for a while. Brian may attempt to make several passes at Luke and eventually Lucinda or Noah will see it and that is when the nastiness will really happen.

Given Brian's facial expression towards the end of that scene, one could argue that he has feelings for Luke; I wouldn't say love, but you can clearly see he has a strong attraction towards Luke. Unfortunately, while I'm not against inter-generation romances (where one person is say 24 and the other is 46), I do believe that Brian had no right to attempt taking advantage of Luke like that.

As always, Van's acting is superb. And just to throw this out there for ya: Yes, Luke did kiss Jade, (or rather, she kissed him) when they were acting before Luke came out. Luke also kissed this girl, Ada, on a double date that Kevin set up, when he was drunk, but ended up flipping out a bit when she wanted to *cough* do more than kiss, and left with the car, leaving Ada, Kevin and Lib all stranded. (Yeah, Kevin gave him an earful about that one. XD)

Thanks, you've made my day! I had a crush on Jade so this is good news. I hope that she'll be played by same actress, Elena Goode, but I suspect not since Goode's departure was not a happy one. With Will/Gwen gone, they can finally give Jade a good storyline. She was was very flawed, and often a villain, but her loyalty toward Luke was great -- especially when she blasted Kevin.

Once again, I give Van Hansis a lot of credit for his physical acting. He trained in Moscow, the birthplace of modern acting, i.e. The Stanislavski method. It teaches actors to live the role and not merely act it, and involves a lot of physical work. That's why Van was so convincing in a wheelchair. And he really looks like a beaten man here. Of course, make up helps too!

From his first appearance, I sensed that he had a "special interest" in Luke. The actor does amazing things with his eyes -- they're always shifting. You always got a sense that something was going on behind the words. It'll be interesting to see if the kiss was planned.

Too bad this kiss was dysfunctional. If Noah leaves (keep in mind that Jake has no contract), Brian and Luke would make an interesting couple. Brian is almost unhumanly calm and rational, while Luke is given to fits of passion. A fascinating mix.

My biggest complaint about Brian is that he sometimes talks like hard-boiled detective in a 1940's movie. In that sense, old-movie fan Luke would love him.
