  • ur amp catch fire yet?

  • @Rollinballserrday420

all 4 of them did, actually. AND about 10 minutes after i shot this video... this particular amp gave a very nice smoke show lolol

  • @J00bles dont see how they fucked up so much from the protoypes..

  • @Rollinballserrday420

its just the way the mosfets were positioned inside the amp. the legs were too close to each other and were able to arc current between them. its a shame, but im done with DAT and have moved on to MUCH bigger and better things :)

  • Good lookin out man.. I figured 4 cubes wud be fine.. run em to my Fosgate. T2500-bdCP

  • @atlfalconsfan2010

somewhere between 3.5 and 4 would be alright for that kind of power. closer to 3.5 would be more ideal

  • I Gotta Start Off By Sayin That Ish Is Poundin Yo But Whats The Specs On Your Box.. I Wanna Do 2 Level Fours In My Scion Tc But I Want A Decent Idea On A Box Size.. Website Says 1.5 Cubic Feet Each Speaker But That Looks A Lot Bigger?

  • @atlfalconsfan2010

the box was 3.85 cubic feet after displacements tuned to 34 hertz.

  • hey man i know this vid is old but is that the alpine cda 105? if so i've been confused on how to turn the volume past like 20-22 without distortion... i don't have nice door speakers and a speaker amp yet, but is there a way the head unit can put out better quality at like 30? my settings right now are treble + 7, bass -7 or 0. hpf 100.. idk what else to do to make it sound cleaner past 21 ish so if you know any tips, i would appreciate the help, thanks

  • @yahmon2112

i have a 9884. my treble is usually around +3 depending on song, bass always at 0, hpf at either 120 or 160, and my balance and fade are always both at 0. my head unit has different settings from the new alpines

i couldnt honestly tell you what the problem is. alpines dont typically start clipping until 33-35/35 so that seems odd. everything in my mind is pointing to your speakers themselves. best investment i have made to my system is a small amp on the doors speakers.

  • how would u compare the lvl 4's to the fi q was thinking of going with some 4's

  • @427jasonp

i've never heard the q series, but i have heard BLs and BTLs. i would rate the level 4s most like the BL series because of their power and sound. either would be a good choice, but im partial to my level 4s.

  • glad to see some one who knows what they are doing in a car with the subs not pointing torwards the front end

  • @JustinGunderson subs pointing forward, when done correctly, will typically be louder on the meter. i dont chase numbers though.

it was way louder facing the trunk, so thats the way i left it.

    thanks!

  • How much is your amp?

  • @4663GA

How much what? power? price? weight?

  • @J00bles Price.....

  • @4663GA

MAP price is listed as $899 + shipping, i believe.

i bought mine second hand for a bit less than that, but due to some issues, i sent the amp in for repair and they sent me a brand new one for warranty. they really back their products well!

  • @J00bles So.... How much you think the lvl 4 10s would cost?

  • @4663GA

you'll need to email Rusty@dcsoundlab com to find out the price, as it is not released to the public.

probably around 300 or so apiece, if i had to guess for you

  • still on stock alt?

  • @xFearlessGangstax

this was on an Iraggi 170 amp alternator. Since i made this video i've added a second alternator to my civic. i sit at 14.6 volts with this amplifier playing full tilt!

  • ..... hard to tell from the video, but it sure as hell LOOKS loud for a pair of 12s..

  • yea.. the video looks really grainy compared to all of my others. its probably still being processed by youtube

  • nah man, i mean that camera has no chance of picking up the bass, but despite it also having no chance at picking up the flex, your shit looks like it's flexing pretty hard.. Two thumbs up and five stars...

  • i appreciate the kind words man. it takes a lot of time and money to make your system POUND, so its great to hear this feedback!

  • nice mane

  • it got pretty damn loud. hurt my ears like no other 12s have.

  • @J00bles i here that why u chag amps?

  • MORE power was needed, and i wanted to go big for my wall build.

this amp took a dump on me, but i should have it's replacement next week.

i made this video about 3 weeks ago but never got around to posting it up

  • @J00bles nice what goin in the wall pimp what u do with the old amp

  • i sold off the sundown 1200 and the hifonics 2610. my plan is to do lvl 4 18s in the wall, but i may break down and buy lvl 4 XL 18s :D

  • @J00bles nice mane
