Imagine this kid jamming out with Sebastian Bach himself sitting in a big reception room decorated with gold and mahagony. The patrons would be pleased. He plays so good it is simple to close my eyes and feel like I am enjoying the music in this very same room in 1723.
This kid is technically brilliant. To play such a complex classical guitar with ease shows immense talent. With age, I'm sure a certain feeling and subtly will develop. He's got lot's of time.

I would have to agree with people comparing him to the older players who are masters. I mean, if this kid is so damn talented as to be playing J.S. MOTHERFUCKING BACH at his age, I think it would actually be disrespectful to even begin to compare him to other players his age (or mine, for that matter). You are right. The guitar is here important point. And I don’t have doubts of his technique but I think he is a little boy and emotionally not mature, and you can hear this in his (technically great) interpretations. He has a big potential but that is (technique) not enough to make really good music.

this kid's technique isn't even really that good. pay attention to his fingering, if he sticks to playing like that he will have arthritis by the time he's 16. his pinky and ring finger just want to not be playing at all and he is extremely tense. (not saying he's bad, just needs to practice better form badly)
but he's definetitly playing well, and playing with some style and adding some emotion to it...

@TheKomando007 That is untrue. There are feelings in every bit of music, albeit they aren't always the correct ones that the music was intended for. But you are right, he is emotionally immature simply because he doesn't have the life experience required for this type of music. And I think you were right in saying so because if he is going to play this caliber of music, he should be prepared to be compared by really talented musicians.
70 people need to respect the music, and the effort that this kid put into learning this piece. And, Sungha Jung, well done. You should be very proud of yourself. You did an excellent job. =)
My only regret is that I did not take the initiative and learn the guitar at as young of an age as this boy. Maybe if I did I would be half as talented as him.
When I saw the label, I thought this was going to suck because I assumed that Air on G would have only worked on a violin. This kid proved me VERY wrong. And I congratulate him for proving me wrong!
His talent has nothing to do with his race, people...he could have been born Hispanic, Caucasian...or anything else. And still, his beautiful soul would shine through.
