This is awesome! My budgie Snowy got all excited when he saw Tui, he was chattering away to him and whenever Tui said give me a kiss Snowy would make kissy noises and whenever Tui squealed Snowy would squeal too!

i just got my african grey about 2 months ago i him from a friends that was moving away he is really getting used to me and starting to talk alot i put my laptop in front of his cage he was repeating sum of the things he was hearing from your videos he's going nutts rt now

most...Greys do learn to speak in context. I say most because some greys may not speak at all or...will mimic sounds only. Highly intelligent birds.

Thanks, your right swing is her new word as of the day before this so she has not quite got it right but will get it in a day or so. She does know what most of what she says means, I am careful to teach her the appropiate words for what she is doing (hence the dance), and generally she uses them correctly. She will turn two in June so her understanding is pretty good for her age and gets better each week. I am a proud daddy :)

I am impressed with how many words Tui can say. It is fun to listen to you interact with him. I get the impression he actually understands some words, because he uses them in context. Swing must be one of his new vocabulary. I like the way he says dance in this and other videos and bobs his head as he says it. I think I have become Tui's fan.
