yes but you left the hair with white marks, and the hair became red too with the skin,

you could use the layer mask in order to negate the "white marks" by using the brush tool, and selecting either white or black, you should be able to erase the white marks and allow the hair to blend in much better. AS far as the hair becoming to red. It would have been better if he used the quick selection tool and adjusted the face, then adjusted the hair, because you're right the hair was too red after the color balance adjustment

there's no need to cut it.. just hit Ctrl C after tracing to copy, click on the image with the desired body and hit Ctrl V to paste it. minimize or get rid of the previous image to make the space more organized, besides, you don't need it anymore.

You can select "File" and then select "Place". That will place what you selected on the same canvas.

Another way of doing so is by "File" then "Open", that will open up on a new canvas, then just get your move tool and drag to the other canvas.

You might also want to fix the contrast on the hair. When you change the skin tone to match the body, the hair looks unnatural as is. I work with Paint Shop Pro, which has just as many features as Photoshop (much cheaper, too). Another bad thing about trying to match the color this way is that the skin winds up looking flat... if done this way, just remember to re-insert the facial colors manually (i.e. the lips, eyes, etc...) ;) ~DJ
