those sugar packet oatmeals is not a good choice the sugar is sucrose its a disaccharide made up of one fructose molecule and one glucose. glucose is what you want but the fructose drags down your metabolism because its a slower digesting carb. the livers takes it up not the muscles. Its not your best option stick to dextrose and maltodextrin

one thing i'd like to mention is something about the pump. i've believed for the past 3 years that the pump was everything until i started talking to some pro natural bodybuilders (c.t fletcher, jeff willet ,skip la cour) and i've found that wasn't the case. it sounds hard to believe that pump doesn't cause growth but believe me, since i've been applying the overload principal i've seen faster gains in 3 months than i 've had in a year. remember the secret is always progression and intensity!

@scondore what about bsn syntha 6? personally my favorite to stomach,has a good amount of protein but they are mixed types for slower and faster absorption.i like to take it at night though, not so much post workout, i try to go for the faster absorbing proteins for post but ive used it for post anyway and still gave good results
I found that GNC Whey/Hydrolyze protein works better than ON Whey. I still take ON Creatine though.
Also scondore, that looked more like a pint glass. not a 8oz. You should try using Adam's peanut butter, that's the peanut butter that still has those essential fats.

dude may i suggest that you change up those instant oats for steel cut oats and instead of the splenda how about honey on your oatmeal. Honey is ridiculously high in sugar and is much better for you if dextrose is what you want. Keep up the good work.
actually carbs slow the absorbsion of protien in your muscles, when dieting down to precontest your fats need to go up almost 3x as much and obviously drop the carbs, paleo diet all the way man, the way the human body was designed to eat!
you should switch from oatmeal to steel cut oats- instant oatmeal is still under the "high" category on the glycemic index furthermore releasing more fat hormones when more insulin is produced. Steel cut oats is Low on the glycemic index, furthermore releasing less insluin and less fat hormone.

@musicislife1122,Good question,That is very debatable.In my opinion I think it is best to consume a post work out supplement or a meal right after you workout because your muscles are starving and you need the nutrients to re-pair your muscle break down etc.This question will vary depending on who you ask.
so if for example you weight 185 lbs (just guessing) so ur daily protein consuming is standing for 185grams a day and u devide it to about 4-5 meals so in every meal u will be taking for about 40 grams except the post workout meal that will be more than that about 50 grams because obviously ur body needs more after that.
52 grams of protein after ur workout.. that sounds alot.. i know that adult proffesional bodybuilders takes about that much. how much do u weight ? how do you decide ur daily protein consuming?
@omri7642 if you want to know how much protein you need to get to your goal. generally you need to know your BMR. just type it in google and click on the BMR Calvulator link. there you fill in the stats. after that there is another site but i forgot what it's called, but it will give you how much protein, carbs and fat you need based on your BMR.

Of course you would not see the negative affects of Aspartame immediately, but over time, it will takes its toll.
It is very bad stuff, and the less you use of it, the better, you are way better off using just plain ole sugar!

hey real quick question....is this the immediate meal after the lift or the meal about an hour-hour and a half after the lift? Usually, I'll have the protein shake with simple carbs to replenish glycogen and then wait about an hour for the big complex carb meal....would love some intel.

Dude, Fuck these shit talkers they are jealous of you. I will say to you though that artificial sugar is NOT a good route, It is NOT healthy it is aspratame, do some research about it. Not good at all for human body's. Also adding a couple eggs to your protein shake would boost you a lot, and also whole grain bread, rice and chicken breasts. PERFECT Meals that is all you will need to get stacked. Keep it up buddy.

those sugar packet oatmeals is not a good choice the sugar is sucrose its a disaccharide made up of one fructose molecule and one glucose. glucose is what you want but the fructose drags down your metabolism because its a slower digesting carb. the livers takes it up not the muscles. Its not your best option stick to dextrose and maltodextrin

one thing i'd like to mention is something about the pump. i've believed for the past 3 years that the pump was everything until i started talking to some pro natural bodybuilders (c.t fletcher, jeff willet ,skip la cour) and i've found that wasn't the case. it sounds hard to believe that pump doesn't cause growth but believe me, since i've been applying the overload principal i've seen faster gains in 3 months than i 've had in a year. remember the secret is always progression and intensity!

ok...i just started weight lifting in the beginning of my Sophmore year. Its summer now and i have 3 weeks till school to start my Junior year. @scondore what about bsn syntha 6? personally my favorite to stomach,has a good amount of protein but they are mixed types for slower and faster absorption.i like to take it at night though, not so much post workout, i try to go for the faster absorbing proteins for post but ive used it for post anyway and still gave good results

I found that GNC Whey/Hydrolyze protein works better than ON Whey. I still take ON Creatine though.
Also scondore, that looked more like a pint glass. not a 8oz. You should try using Adam's peanut butter, that's the peanut butter that still has those essential fats.

dude may i suggest that you change up those instant oats for steel cut oats and instead of the splenda how about honey on your oatmeal. Honey is ridiculously high in sugar and is much better for you if dextrose is what you want. Keep up the good work.

you should switch from oatmeal to steel cut oats- instant oatmeal is still under the "high" category on the glycemic index furthermore releasing more fat hormones when more insulin is produced. Steel cut oats is Low on the glycemic index, furthermore releasing less insluin and less fat hormone.

@musicislife1122,Good question,That is very debatable.In my opinion I think it is best to consume a post work out supplement or a meal right after you workout because your muscles are starving and you need the nutrients to re-pair your muscle break down etc.This question will vary depending on who you ask.

so if for example you weight 185 lbs (just guessing) so ur daily protein consuming is standing for 185grams a day and u devide it to about 4-5 meals so in every meal u will be taking for about 40 grams except the post workout meal that will be more than that about 50 grams because obviously ur body needs more after that.

@omri7642 if you want to know how much protein you need to get to your goal. generally you need to know your BMR. just type it in google and click on the BMR Calvulator link. there you fill in the stats. after that there is another site but i forgot what it's called, but it will give you how much protein, carbs and fat you need based on your BMR.
