Try to climb out of the "everything is done because of profit motive" box you've built. It may be true for many things, especially in business, but you forget that what's happening around us isn't caused by a corporation, it's happening because of what we've done to our planet. And the planet doesn't care about money. Seek out the climate scientists, lots of them... they're willing to talk... I can get you a list even :)... be a skeptic, check it out, don't just repeat something you're told.
