Spelling Bee is just another proof of how broken English language is ... in almost every other language in the world you can understand the way word is spelled just by listening to how it is pronounced. But in English language spelling and pronunciation are almost always completely different, which is simply idiotic. The only reason why this broken, garbage of a language has become so popular world wide is because of the military influence of USA .

My Taiwanese students pick it up almost immediately (provided they have enough time each day). And they have to learn Chinese, complete with Zhuyin symbols. If you want to learn a difficult language, try learning Czech. Talk about difficult spelling. And how about French grammar?
