Thank you very much for uploading this video. Frankie and Johnny was one of George Melly's most famous numbers. I was hoping that somebody would upload a video of him performing it.

It is with great regret that I never saw him live in concert. It was only towards the end of this life that I realised what a facsinating life he had led and that we shared a love of Surrealism.

George was a consummate entertainer, a gregarious character with a great rich voice. I hired George with John Chiltern's Feetwarmers many many years ago. He was a class act and it was a privilege to have briefly known him.
