i don't know... but i think i have heard that the stratosphere was supposed to be taller than the cn tower, but thanks to mccarren international, they made it just more than 1000 ft. instead.

I just went there on June 12, 2011. on X-Scream, i sat in back left seat. Insanity... I couldn't really tell where I sat since it spins. i'm going again in july. But overall...
