I have a huge question for you. I want to build a simple 2dof using very big servo motors like nema 23's or 1/2hp stepper's but I dont know what I need for the arduino to make this happen. Do you know if there is a ready made sketch or a addon board that is already made to support much bigger motors?
Hi, can you tell whether it is necessary for me to use any library arduino for management of the step-by-step motor if I have the driver of the motor from reprap2.3 or i can contror witchout it
I'll try to get the code posted somewhere, but I'm afraid its not very much to look at. I simply used the Stepper library included with the Arduino IDE. You can find a really good reference on the Arduino wiki.
I'll update these comments if/when I post the code somewhere. Thanks
I got it from sparkfun electronics online. They are currently sold out but you can place a back order. They also have the spec sheet up available there as well.
what size is the motor?

Hi, the link you've posted with the datasheet is broken! =(
Could you send me it?
Thanks!

so you're driving this motor without outside power?? isnt thsi dangerous haha
i thought its a good practice to use a stepper controller so you can up the voltage for good torque??

@conman33311 I suppose your arduino board burnt out right now....

you got your clockwise and counter clockwise backwards, otherwise looks like a fun project

@kght222 look from behind the motor to get them right

fair enough =] i stand corrected; depends on perspective =P

Hey! really cool! I am using arduino too. Would you mind to send me the code to take a look to stepper motors way of working? ;) Nice work!

Hi, what's the diference between stepper and servo motors?

Very cool stuff homie. Looks like you're having a good time with that project. Lets get that box built.

Hey, where did you get that motor from?
