  • but are you sure that while you'r doing this steps he won't shot you as soon as he'll see you're moving?

  • The vid is absolutely ok and well done but the song is a bit disturbing...

  • It's ok for knife, but too dangerous for Gun...

  • @BinchuanWang the gun is far easier to defend against at close range than a knife.

  • ;)

  • mi piacerebbe impararla .... qui a cesena fanno i corsi

  • wow there are much damage to the balloons xd

  • To use KRAV MAGA your opponent MUST be and IDIOT... or it will not work :DDD

  • Just one question for the guys that pratice Muay Thai...

MT teaches how to deal against guns? like knife...sticks...revolver...?

    thanks...

  • @wisnerff

TRADITIONAL MUAY THAI aka Muay Thai Boran this is Thai jiu jitsu watch at you tube

clibs of TONY JA term muay thai = the westernized version with gloves

Krav Maga = Israeli jiu jitsu nickname KUNG JEW

  • Advice: Dont do it. It's stupid and lame...and you prolly get a shot in the face.

Ppl should stop thinking that martial arts (or anything like it) are super heroes with super reflexes...they're not.

If the agressor makes anything stupid...well...then you can try to react...but while he is poiting the gun at your face...dont do anything stupid.

Remember: 99% of the heroes are dead.

  • @brunozxch2o

Man this was created in Israel... they are at war almost everyday in the year... don't you think krav maga is efficient because of that? if krav maga wasn't that good...so they have to chance to another...

    understand?

    sorry my english...

  • JUST PUT THAT GUY IN THE OCTAGON TO FACE SOME JIU JITSU GUY...REAL LIFE IS SO DIFFERENT, NOT LIKE THAT STUPID DANCE MAN....THINK ABOUT IT....GRACIE JIU JITSU HAS PROUVED IT ALL....JUST LOOK THE FACTS.

BELIEVE ME, THERES THOUSAND JIU JITSU GUYS WHO CAN BEAT THIS GUY LIKE A CHILD.

  • Doesnt look like it would work.

A bullet take less than 1/335 second to travel 1 meter...

i hardly think you can beat that speed...

But it looks awesome against a stick or even agains a knife.

  • @brunozxch2o i think the goal is to escape faster than enemy's reaction time, not bullet travel time ;)

  • @BubuSnow93 Maybe...but only if the robber is distracted with something else (it doesnt happen in the demos)...

because anyone can pull a trigger faster than twisting the entire body around or raising hands...or anything like it. (no matter how fast you are...cse pulling a trigger is as faster as blinkin' an eye)

  • @l0pez83 concordo

  • Ragazzi non andate mai a rubà all' ipercoppe !!!!!!!!!

  • @papasatana xD ti stimo!

  • Comment removed

  • Almost looks as though they stole concepts from Win Chung Kung Fu.

  • @SlaveSlayer2010 Yes Mate, it looks like a basic version of Wing Chun, I'm not a big fan of this system.

  • @SlaveSlayer2010 and some Filipino atrs thrown in

  • Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

    Albert Einstein

  • u really think that in that close and risk situation a simple man would risk his self and his health acting like dat? i mean i think that some1 with a gun is not so stupid to be so close as u or the 1 with the knife will cut u off immediatly without thinkin if u move..in the end the art is cool and usefull

  • very cool

  • I like the visual, the music....not so much. Pearl Jam is LAAAAAAMMMMEEEEEE. Excellent technique in martial arts.

  • Krav Maga is an combat system. Not martial art.

  • a* not an. Also martial art = military technique. Anything from a battlefield maneuver involving thousands to unarmed Close quarters combat is martial arts. I like how all the new martial arts think their new creations are completely different and superior. You hear this a lot especially in MMA and UFC. Though not to compare them to Choi kwan do and Krav Maga. All have advantages and disadvantages and depend on the practitioner.

  • @Kuulek the martial art is an a combact system XD

  • "Martial" means "of Mars", the god of war.

Every martial art is a combat system.

  • um luxo...demais

  • I realize that most of the techniques they are using probably are going to work, but if you didnt notice the assalants are acting a little flimsy.

  • Yeah, they always act flimsy in a demo. Real Krav Maga is difficult to show properly in a demo and avoid injury.

  • definitly, even doin demos sometimes can hurt lol

  • You can buy a gun only in the USA and third world countries the rest of the world is free from this shit besides Krav Maga system was developed to defend yourself against knife and gun

  • Krav Maga sort of looks like Wing Tsun's "dirty" brother. I'd like to learn it, since I don't do any martial art as of now.

Yet, I would avoid conflict wherever I can - and run for it, if possible.

  • Krav Maga looks cool...yet effective.....yea baby~~woot woot

  • the best defense against another gun is the one you carry.

  • gun wont help you after you got shot...

the intire idea of krav maga is to avoid getting shot/stabbed

  • within 10 feet or more not 19 feet.

  • If I'm 10 feet away I would just run! See if he can hit a moving target.

  • not really. do you think you have the time to pull yours when your already aimed at? not likely huh? but a fast disarm move he woulndt see coming would work

  • kind of hard to disarm someone one when they are sooting at you. at least with a gun, you have a fighting chance to shoot back.

  • ...no one is shooting no one. were talking about a TREATH,not a shootout! if you dont even see that basic littly thing of the techniques i have no more business respondingto you

  • Who's we? you took it upon your own assumption to base that on. I guess you didn't understnad what i was implying in my first statement in terms of defense of a gun is with another gun in an attack when being fired upon.

  • loan your house and spend the money on yourself

  • good vid! im sure they also use a head cage for making actual contact... you need to feel how actually punching someone in the head/face will make the rest of the body react! it changes everything. just throwing punches in air doesn't really do much for reality training. the head protection is so you dont harm or kill your classmate!!!

  • this vid is nice..

but its not easy to fight against a armed man...esp. guns, why would a man carrying a gun want to get close to you, while he can shoot you from a distance.

tanida yo balamu ikayu mu ing byasa aluwang salita ne...bolang yu...

  • well... most cases the gun is a treat to obtain something of value from you. at distance you have the option of running and finding cover... up close you have less chance of dodging a bullet, but you do have the option of physical contact with the criminal to try and defend yourself, either way its a shitty situation!!!

  • Dodging a bullet is never easy, even at 20feat. Coming so close will come in handy if you want to use someone as a hostage, or as cover from 3rd party shooters.

  • War isn't always in a forest or field. Situations of armed men facing you close can occur in closed buildings, buses, even planes.

  • You're a terrorist. Just because Obama i in office doesn't mean you get a free ticket. GTMO is still open (and will remain that way).

  • You are a NEO-conservative not a real conservative. You stole my republican party and I am going to take it back.

  • i was wondering about that... have they reopened GTMO?

  • ottimo video

  • this seems very funny to me, defending from a guy unarmed is not easy, it actually requires a lot of good training and sparring and you guys tell its easy to defend against a guy armed?? wich is kinda harder lol

  • Good Vid, I do a combined bujutsu which after watching the vid is very similar the only difference is we also do kenjutsu and other weapon fighting.

  • Very Nice Vid

  • eheheh I agree with Or79.. But I can't blame who puts Even Flow as soundtrack! :D :D

  • Most of the video is slowed down, but it seems they are doing the techniques very robot like and not fluid. Good demonstration though I think some of the groin strikes are too much hittig a person once then gettin out of the hold and doing it again is kind of pointless if you can just get out of the hold and control the situation faster simpler and more effectice less of a chance to counter

  • I love this video. The attacks are not supposed to be fluid.

  • the attacks but the counter/reversal should be somewhat fluid for speed. Though they may have just learn some of the less fluid ones which would explain it. Even a slight pause between movements can give the attacker enough time to react to your counter which can be disaterous

  • Hmmm, I see what you mean. Flowing and rapid is how it should be. That's what you mean, right

  • exactly but it could just be a learning stage for both or one so it's not a big deal.

  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful video! I train Krav Maga, and I love it! Your video inspired me to do it. It just look so darn good, and it is! Everything I learn can work. I'm 11, and I love KM!

  • I love pearl jam but it doesnt match at all with this video xD

  • Krav Maga isn't martial arts. They dont like this name. it is "system of technics in defence"

  • well. it just depends, I see just much as Krav Maga advertising claiming that it is tht I see claiming that it doesn't. It seems that it depends on who they are marketing to. My club takes the line that it isn't, but obviously the individuals who made this video say that it is. It has katas (at least short techniques) even though they don't callt them that, and they have rituals, even though they don't see them as such.

  • I feel sorry for the Israelian's, there all going to die, if we dont help them, so many people want to kill them, and they wont last long either, Because its God's holy land. Plus the anti Christ will wont to kill them and take over Israel, and the will.

  • Blackstorm1230 I feel sorry for you

because you think like mental disorder.

& you write like retard, go to a Neurosurgeon to put some more brain

    in your head.

  • Dang, no wonder Israel's won so many wars, when individual soldiers run out of amo, all they do is beat the arabs to death.

  • guys seriously. i have been doing combined karate and boxing for over 10 years and have started KM one year ago. all i can say is FANTASTIC. the most efficient and direct way of self defence. absolutely agree with wauzers. can highly recommend it.

  • going in to it how much upper body strength do you need? because i do not have much.

  • obviously stong and quick helps. but remember it is about self defence and you need to learn the techniques to free yourself from an uneasy situation. the latter can be learned very quickly and if you have the flair how to put legs in the right position and how to hold up/use your hands you'll be there. good luck.

  • thanks

  • i jsut had my first lessonlast night and i expected them to go a little slower and i got hit in the side of my head

  • well the idea is not really to get hurt during a training cession and above all not with a person that is doing his first lesson. suggestion: choose your partner when doing an exercise and avoid those ones who have to prove something. good luck.

  • I heart Krav.

  • Ive been studying traditional martial arts and MAA for years. I just started Krav Maga and there is Ive come to realize there is a huge difference. KM is for self defense and combat, not competition and the ring. KM has different training, mentality and goals. Some of the techniques are similiar between Martial Arts and KM, but most everything else is different. Educate yourself and you will see.

  • the first one is Pearl Jam - Even Flow, the second one is also Pearl Jam, but I'm not sure what it's called

  • it's called "why go" it's on the album ten

  • whats the name of the song being played

  • Dad, that's what you were doing with your buddies down the basement! Mum was so worried she was losing you everytime you all came out sweaty and slapping each others balls... Thank God!

  • Great video, I think I'm gonna' start practicing, hehe. ^^

  • lol "israelian"? It's supposed to be "israeli."

  • dude...I just watched this in fight quest...i think it's awesome....^_^..it's very...self defense rather than any other martial art...

  • MMA isn't allowed to use the tricks we train in krav :) it's self defence to protect u from life threathning situations not to go rampage on oneanother until they get alzheimers

  • nobody can't kill these mans

  • anyway they're playing...this is a demo

  • I've practised Krav maga, it's simply THE fight sport !

  • same! :) though you cant call it a sport ;P

  • como les gusta pegar en los tanates

  • Ebmas is better

  • the second song is called "why go" by Pearl Jam...

  • at 1.08 he could take the chance to break the arm!XD

  • in the words of my gay cousin "EIIIUUUUU"

  • i would love to learn krav-maga but there are no schools where i live

  • my closist is like 15 miles away

  • I just got signed up for this and completed my first class today. Trust me, it is NOT easy. I'm so sore right now. But, it'll pay off. But that's also cuz I took an optional core training class...so I was kinda wasted when it got to Krav Maga. Anyway, if you're serious about defending yourself, sign up for it. Forget karate and muay thai and that stuff. KRAV MAGA. You'll learn so much. We went through different real world exercises, like getting punched on the ground. Just take it.

  • sweet

but they do it too slow even for a workout

  • what is this song called :P

  • first one is evenflow by pearl jam... i dont know the second one

  • shut the hell up actionfag.

  • jee \m/

  • Its israeli not israelian

  • Same thing you see in every defense class. I see the same things in my karate class and in my thaibox class.

Also: at 1.00 minute he keeps standing in the line of the gun. Never do that. While you have a second of surprise, that advantage is gone if you keep yourself in the line of the gun.

I wouldn't stop a stick with open hand either, too much of a chance of broken fingers is you miscalculate or if your opponent knows how to use the stick.

  • Awesome.

  • Not that good?

Guess what a KM fighter does in real time and a real situation of danger...

  • Gets rocked by a real fighting style?

  • You're an idiot. A real fighting style? Hahahahaha, dude... So the martial art of the Navy SEALs, Green Berets, Delta Force, and Israeli Special Forces is not a real fighting style?

  • You are in neither a position to confirm nor deny that krav maga is utilized by any modern day military organization. Furthermore, Krav Maga is practiced by ZERO MMA fighters. Let me guess though, it's too 1337 deadly and can't be seen by virgin eyes of noobs, right?

Grow up, fuckface. I can't believe I wasted the time to respond to this.

"Hey throw a punch at me."

    "No, slower."

    "OW DONT ACTUALLY HIT ME!"

    "There, see, you'd be dead."

  • That's because MMA and all those fighting organizations have rules. If Krav Maga was practiced by MMA fighters, MMA fighters would be throwing hits to the throat, eyes, and groin. I'm not sure if that's legal in MMA, but outside the ring where there's no referee to protect you, it'll increase your chances of surviving and escaping an attack.

  • I disagree. I've been joint manipulated before and used my bjj training to submit the opponent. Real life wanna-be bully.

The gracie family has has people try to scratch at their eyes or attack their groin for a long time. Face it dude old school science is the only way to have high percentages of winning fights.

  • all right, well when you face another wanna-be bully that has a gun to your head, let me know how your bjj works our for ya.

  • read some more. google is your friend if you are a geek. cheers. MMA and KM have zero conecting points.

at least what is the purpose of both. very different goal.

    cheers

  • krav maga was first made with military combat in consideration. It's actualyl common knowledge that military forces train in it, in fact it is true that new recruits in israeli military learn it as a basis for hand-to-hand combat. just because you don;t know it doesn't mean it doesnt exist

  • Well it is used by about 400 police departments in the U.S. Including four dept in Oregon where I live.

  • Not that good. this is not what would happen in a real situation.

  • not really most of the time the attacker will be in a sort of shock for about a couple seconds after you react that rapidly kinda like when someone dumps freezing water on you, you dont move for like 2 seconds because it just takes you by surprise.

  • pretty cool but i really dont think no one is faster than a bullet no matter how bad ass they are..by time they do them twist n turns the finger squezzed the trigger come on keep it real human instict as soon as the defender flinches the attacker would squezzed the trigger

  • Regarding comment about the handgun defenses not working:

They probably won't work against people trained in the use of handguns, but work well against common criminals and untrained Arabs for which these techniques were designed.

  • Good one, it's arabian and there are a lot of people there who are not trained in using firearms. Also any normal person without trainig will doubt and wait before shooting. Krav Maga uses the shock you get from such situation to use this split second for a counter attack and then run.

  • Yes that last thing an untrained person expects when they wave a gun in your face is for you to attack them.

  • i really HATE pearl jam.

  • Damn straight...

  • Everyone hates pearl jamXD

  • muppet.. last i checked basketball or being tall was not a martial art. You can never predict a situation or outcome, but you can prepare for them with disipline and dilligance. The art lies not in the action but the human carrying out the action. If you belive with a broken nose or jaw after you have a close range smack in the balls wont bring you down you are mistaken...

  • The stick moves look like kali or eskrima

  • Kali is alright, but I am an Escrima guy!

  • id fuck you up

  • I doubt it. The only time I think you could fuck somebody up is if you found your mother or father and fucked them up the ass. Quit trying to act badass online. It's like competing in the Special Olympics. You're retarded even if you win.

  • nice !!!

  • as has been stated, this is a discussion of art (def:the attempt to create beauty). and a system when called upon is only a good as its worst practicioner at his worst moment. remember proper stance but never forget natural posture all that stuff. im never saying 1 is better than the other. resourceful and training wins the fight. historically, TKD has survived all modern era fads. that's the truth

  • too add, any discipline that has helped a culture survive mass gentrification (japanese slavery and chinese occupations of korea) will have that kind of staying power

  • my only problem here is that, if you understand handguns, you understand something about a pistol's range of efficacy. the best range is 6'-10'. these are sparring demos in controlled situations, having seen men shot before ill say this much, grabbing the muzzle of a revolver aint advisable, grabbing the slide action of a semi works unless theres a round under the hammer. most guys use too much trigger so if youre quick enough...

  • Ok some of this would work, while some of this stuff has the muzzle of the gun pointed at other parts of your body while you are beating the guy up. now i am guessing that is partly to do with the fact that these guys are not experts at it, but more beginners.
