  • Guys, we have a philan something, he donates all his gas and time to the local abbotsford police for "Air One" assistance. Does a great job but wouldnt something like this work cheaper and easier for many Police forces? Love it. How much in Canada, BC

  • 30000usd O_O

Dont reply to this arrange a meeting we can discuss your future

  • ya? do u need a license in canada ? lol i wanna know lol

  • shit im buying one. you dont even need a license!

  • It's interesting to see the pitch links above the mast.

  • Huh? They make flying sound easy. A student spends hours with dual controls with an instructor before he can even hover. I read all the books too, and I needed an instructor constantly correcting my movements. How the hell is someone expect to just learn it on his own?

  • I think the best way is to actually learn how to fly a normal heli and then just go on this.

  • I don't think there's any other way to do it. You can't just hop in and "wing" it, so to speak. Just "see how it goes." With their versatility comes inherent instability. They are very sensitive and truly difficult to master, and one little "oops" (which takes a novice about half a second airborne) and you're toast; you can't just hit the brakes, or back up...

  • I did what that guy did but with my ultralight! I had ten hrs of training in a cesna a year before but I got in it and flew it!! Landing was a little bumpy but Im a pro now!! haha

  • Well there is a trainer that is a RC helicopter and a seat where it hase the same controles. Its supost to train you to fly a real helicopter.

  • RC is a whole other world and the controls are quite different.

  • No regular RC is diferent. But this had same controls... link is on the web site for the helicopter. Its a helicopter emulator.

  • without dad bugs in yo teef

  • Hey, that's a challenge i'd love, I'm no lic. pilot, I just a Vet who learned Trucking, studied Advertising, actually flew a few times in a Bellcana Citibria because of a salty ol Vet pilot Mr. Knox in my HS days prior to my Army stint. hell, I'll be your crash dummy pilot anyday! wish we could see these everywhere, perhaps someday with a strong electric motor. currently I fly a honeybee king II, jus can't get in the dang thing lol good luck in all you do for aviation, wish i could invest!

  • will trade my 97 Van for one!

  • that is so cool, I want one!

  • what are the requirements if you fly it? like can you fly it over a neighborhood

  • You can fly it over a neighborhood, but I would imagine that FAA rules would apply to private land; 500+ feet vertical distance and they can't really complain (something about privacy and noise).

As long as you don't do anything dangerous or do anything that would warrant anyone wanting to call the sheriff--I know lots of neigbors whose motorcycle(s) are much louder that an Mosquito XE. No one complains about them.

  • thanks

  • 1000+ feet vertical distance from the highest point your flying over in New Zealand, 500+ feet over farm land and non built up areas.

  • I'm assuming you mean "at least 500 feet." ;)

And anyway, it's one thing to have the regs, but it's something else to enforce them. A lot of these laws, such as flying over a residential area comes down to the pilot's common sense and civility. I flew my ex-wife to her post-prom in a Bell and we were over the area for close to half and hour around midnight, and although I didn't feel threatened by authorities, it just made me uncomfortable knowing I was disturbing the neighbors...

  • the Mosquito doesnt require a license at all in the US? lol

  • It's an ultralight

  • You will need RPC to fly that in New Zealand.

  • thats a great little machine

    im tempted to buy one
