Sweet monza dude, I remember a friend of mine almost made me shit my pants in his monza spider with a 350 dual high rise built motor back in the day. It was orange & Fast as hell.
Dude love the car its fucking sweet looks like your bring the wasted years back man bringing back the 1980's hell yea i dig the side pipes man there boss.
even people dont like the wing on back, i have it on mine because it look better to me it is a 1977 monza 327 bor. 13 over with a m-22 rockcrusher tranz, with 344 rear end and m&h racemaster tires to put is in simply does low 12's high 11's with be on youtube in about 3 weeks keeps eyes open want to see peoples opinions
Cool sounds like a badass Monza, lookin forward to seeing it. I took this particular video of my buddies Monza about a year ago, I heard a rumor that its running around with a blower now...
Na, with that kind of rake it looks better without it.
As for down force, the owner says the front spoiler keeps it stable to about 160mph; thats with the shocks adjusted to 60/40 in the front and 50/50 in the rear.
i disagree with you there, if nobody liked them then why were they so popular at the drag strip and road race tracks? maybe for those who couldn't look beyond the skinny little tires they came with, in that sense i agree.
Thanks! But its not my car, Jonny Monza built it (the crazy dude in the video); but yeah good luck with it and lmk if you got any Monza questions, I'll ask him for ya
I had the original Monza hot rod back in the day, not then further back, keep going, yeah 1980. It had a Corvette LT1 in it + way to much stuff to list in this comment section. Was totally insane. Those were the days.
we think you should build another one... back in the day is now brother!
According to the owner, this monza has been a hotrod since 1983- the interior is all coffin apolstry with aircraft aluminum, gages, skulls, and that 358 has enough torq to pick the front tires up... look out 1983 is now!
"Rock'n Roll! hope you find a good shell; keep me posted! Rock the side pipes and louvers and you will be the Night Rider. Fast Cars and Fast Women Wooo!"
yes, he gets a little carried away, but he was just trying to say thankyou for your compliments, and he is building an IMSA now.
thankyou for your compliments but the owner built this car specifically to be different from your typical Drag Monza; This is era correct for a 70's hotrod all the way down to the paint.
had 3 of them. miss the brutal and crude 70's engineering! -way to go!

An under rated design that has aged well.
