The mouth piece for Trombone and Euphonium are in fact not the same generally speaking the Euphonium mouth piece has a deeper cup than a Trombone mouth piece for sound purposes. Euphonium has a deeper less brassy sound and accompanied with the deep mouth piece it gives it a better sound but the more shallow mouth piece of the Trombone gives it a brassy sound not meant for the Euph. Although you can use a Trombone mouth piece on a Euphonium it's not meant for that
