  • 0:26 is just magical.

  • this title of song is "romance de amor" right?

  • @virliadrisa

    Memories of the Alhambra

The Alhambra is a palace in Granada, Spain.

    that's my best guess haha

  • Likewise Chopin made famous the Piano, Paganini was a virtuosistic violin´s player. Tarrega was a Virtuosistic Guitar´s player. To some extent, he was considerated the first composer who made the Guitar an instrument worth reverence.

  • sick

  • great finger-technique

  • really beautiful, must thanks Kate Hardy for mentioning this in the book.

  • I just can't believe how fluently that tremolo technique sounds. It's so hard. I just can't believe it...I can only do it very slow, while speeding up my fingers get stuck between the strings

  • Is that considered flamenco or Spanish or classical or what?

  • @dpshtintolrnt1 classical

  • @dpshtintolrnt1 Classical. Francisco tarrega was spanish but was a fulltime classical music composer. :D

  • @dpshtintolrnt1 Esto es guitarra clásica o guitarra española, Esto no es flamenco

  • I remember when I taught him that !

  • great stuff!

  • Ok, this may not be your favorite genre, but how can you "dislike" this?

  • Wspaniale

  • cool !

  • OMG :O

  • its just awsome :O

  • Is there a piano in the background hitting those bassier notes?

  • @patrickdaniels95

No, there is only one guitar. He's playing the tremolo with his middle, ring, and little fingers. The index finger and the thumb are picking out the melody. The lowest bass notes are the open E string, but it's all being played by the solo guitar. Pretty amazing, no? :)

  • @GVGeis13 actually the melody is just picked out with the thumb. Little pinkie does nothing

  • @JP1kenobi I sit corrected! Thank you - unintentional error on my part. I thought I had read that the little, ring, and middle fingers plucked the tremolo. I've gone back and checked, and you're right - it's the ring, middle, and index. In that order, interestingly, but sensibly. Thanks again for pointing this out!

  • Is it two guitars?

  • @dpshtintolrnt1 no, just one amazing guitarist

  • Beautiful.

I used to know how to play this at 15. I've forgotten now. Time to practice.

  • a nice song

  • Love and Light...

  • so beeee-oooootiful

  • great performance,....

  • Much more difficult to play than it looks, its about the same difficulty level as Asturias Leyenda by Isaac Albeniz. Very well played, a truly beautiful piece of music, thank you.

  • Fantastic, Well played, Thank you.

  • Just simply beautiful. Words can not describe...

  • Just the most beautiful music ever, played with passion.

  • This song is actually a lot harder than it looks. He played it beautifully. Very expressive.

  • This is one of my favorite versions. Love the attack on the strings and the tempo is PERFECT. Quirky timing but I like it.

  • @bohs1984 I think that in the end he could do a bit more ritardando

  • Lovely. If you have been you remember. if you haven't been you want to go. Beautiful.

  • Nice!

  • Bravo!!!

  • For all you heavy metal fans..... I would have to say that a heavy metal guitar has better timing probably due to the drummers keeping the beat for you most of the time. Never the less they due respect timing much more than a classical guitarist , but when a heavy metal player can have the timing rythem and technique of a flamenco guitarist then he can start to criticise !!!!! Until then he can learn alot from a classical player and I wish classical players practiced more timing because even th

  • 166 dislikes. OK, you play like that. No? Didn't think so losers.

  • how can anyone dislike this??? is like disliking music itself!

  • Amazing Jim you do it justice.

  • i go to sleep to this. no homo.

  • this is the hardest style to play on a guitar

what he is doing there is really really hard

take years of practice i love this sound and i love how he plays

    very nice :D

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak666 I'm not gonna say it's not difficult. But saying it's the hardest style to play on guitar is like saying apple is the tastiest fruit. It's purely subjective unless you can master all styles.

  • @EA369

well learn your facts about music

classical is the hardest moste difficult style to play not on a guitar but on almoste every instrument

because you have to play it with feeling like jazz music is exactly the sam.

but dont really know how to explain it to you but believe me Classical music is the hardest music style there is and than it is jazz.

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak666 dude, it's not a fact, it's a personal opinion. With feel did you say? If you want to go in terms of feel then look to blues rooted guitarists for feel. If you want to compare Jazz to Classical then do it this way, they both recquire the same tremendous amount of theory but Jazz incorporates more of it when it comes to standards and especially improvisation. Classical isn't the hardest style to play. It's just perpetuated to be extremely difficult.

  • @EA369

dude it is not a oppinion it is the true

bleus is also music what you have to play with feeling

but it is not hard to play. i cant speak very good english so i can tell you way exactly

But Classic style is technically the most difficult out there.

if you go to the conservatory they always ask if you can play classic.

because if you can ploay classical you can play almoste every style there is.

like jazz. Because jazz is derived from classical. if you can play classical you can play jazz

  • @nargarothfreak666 No, it is an opinion. If you can play classical, it doesn't mean you can play every style there is, it just means you're more equipped and capable when it comes to being able to play another style. As far as technical proficiency goes, metal will give classical a run for it's money. Classical is one of the oldest forms of music, but not the hardest. And Jazz is not derived from classical, the fact you even said that gets me thinking you don't know what you're talking about

  • @EA369

no the point is you dont know where you talking about

but i am not going arguing about this you dont have any music feeling

and you dont know where you talking about so if you dont know anything aobut it shut up.

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak666 OH how original, face it, I've just proved you wrong. You haven't seen me play guitar so you're just making baseless accusations. See? You don't know what you're talking about. If you don't believe me, why don't you actually research it yourself. You have yet to actually make some form of an argument with substance, you just sound like an opinionated fanboy crying because someone proved them wrong. Get over yourself, if you reply to this then you're just embarrassing.

  • @EA369

i know where i am talking about i am a classical piano player

my teacher is a full calssical piano teacher and my whole family plays classical

my teacher tolld me that it was the hardest style to learn and also more conservatory teachers told me

so you cant se what your want but i konw how it is

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak666 correction. THEY are classical players and I'm assuming fully trained, but I'd like them try to speed and thrash metal with blistering technical proficiency. Or blues with an incredible amount of feel, not just notes, or hell even free form jazz. You don't know how it is, actually do your own research. And your teacher sounds like an idiot for even saying there's a hardest style of music, good teachers don't say that.

Seriously, go research yourself and stop whining.

  • @EA369

well let me tell you something

one of the guitar players can play ever style he can play fast like trash and speed metal

but he can play also good classical. but i know what you mean you have to learn the styles to master it.

but still classical music is real hard to master tray it :)

  • @nargarothfreak666 Look, calm down, I am a guitarist and play LOADS of different types of music, but what the guy says is correct, in one lifetime you CANNOT become a master of every genre, it's not possible, just accept it, I play 5 instruments too, I'm not an idiot and I'm sure your family and teacher are excellent, but being able to play the notes is not the same as being a MASTER of the style of music.

Music is more than just ability and it takes time, more than 8 grades for CERTAIN.

  • @bizarrefruit you kidding right? i mean no your kidding every body knows that you alwyas have to practice for something. that is no surprise. and yes what do i say? my first comment was and i quote: this is the hardest style to play on a guitar what he is doing there is really really hard take years of practice i love this sound and i love how he plays very nice :D So do you ever heard me say that this is easy? NO read before you make a comment Cheers!
  • @EA369 actually some of the best metal guitarist actually have had prior classical guitar training, classical guitar emphise heavily on finger accuracy. I started out learning just the electric guitar, but since then i've also started classical guitar training, and it has improved my skills tremendously! :)

  • @narogathfreak666 @EA369 imma stop all ur arguments, classic is the great great great great grandpapi of all music and is hard to master. u shukd master classic bfore going on to metal, blues or jazz can jus jump start, but there is no "hardest master" wat ur teacher was trying to say was probably that the style that is the hardest build on. cause there is too many techniques. since like i said, all of other types are derived from classic, so none is the hardest to master.

  • @nargarothfreak666 its not as hard as you think its a little trick he plays 3 notes per base note the right hand part is actually fairly easy to get your head round but switching positions in the left is quite tough and ofcourse to make it sound like this you have to be very good

  • genius. . .

  • i cant come near to play what he plays only with his thumb -.-

  • This is absolutely amazing, just learned classical gas thinking i was cool, then watched this and was like "back to work"

  • Stunning!

  • amazing

  • Perfect. I wish I could play that :(

  • Goosebumps !!! .. so beautiful .

  • This is why guitar is the hardest to master..This shit doesnt even look real..

  • All it takes is practicing it forever at 1/10 to 1/100th speed. The amazing thing is the more excruciatingly slow you can force yourself to play it, the better you sound when you play it at normal speed (as above). Think of tai chi with your fingers, where each single note is played smoothly on a 10 count (or even slower if you can stand it).

  • @sparaig So true. I give guitar and piano lessons and always try to encourage my students to never practice faster than they can play something exactly perfect, which if they understand what I mean by perfect ought to be agonizingly slow.

  • Van gogh is alive! and he comes to play classic guitar :p

  • @royalmaster203 i know how hard it is
