how do you play the d/c# i cant get it?

@SpeedyKid08 Lol its funny you ask cause I had trouble playing that chord properly too. In this video I'm actually cheating with that chord. The D/C# chord (not sure if thats even the proper name) is played as a open D with the C# note as its root. In this video I'm actually playing A/C# (again probably not the proper name) with the root being the C#. Because I'm not playing the full chord (I'm leaving out the higher strings) it sounds "similar" to the "D/C#" chord. Hope this helps??

Adam, have you tried moving your capo to the 3rd fret and tried the sound with it there?

@rgg765 I keep my guitar tuned in standard D therefore having my capo on the 5th fret is the exact same key as if I was tuned standard E with the capo on the 3rd. So, to answer your question I am playing in the key that you're suggesting (key of F) which the original song was recorded in. Thanks for watching my video and commenting.

That chord i think is usually called (D/C#) which is basically a D with the C# note added to it which makes it some sort of C#.....I play it a little weird cause I can't make the stretch with my pinky (its too short lol) but the ideal way to play it would be an open D chord with the added C# note.....hope that helps :-)
