this game looks amazing...i have a few questions though...how is the playerbase...still alive...can minstrels heal themselfs with their songs...and how is the pvp in LOTRO...if you could please respond thanks

I've been playing at the endgame for about 2 years now, and the game has seen a lot of updates in that time. Graphically, the game is tough to beat. Very beautifully made.

Minstrels can absolutely keep themselves up with heals.

pvp is sorely lacking an update and won't see one for quite some time. We've been fighting in the same zone since launch. If do end up playing but aren't sure if you want to lvl to 60 (soon to be 65), get a toon to 10, and then roll a 'creep' character.

there is no ideal race for any class, you should go with whatever race you find most appealing..

But imo a hobbit makes the best minstrel because they get a double fake-death skill..=D

You know, I thought the idea of a minstrel was always kind of lame. but now after playing WoW for years, I'm intrigued.

especially after seeing the feature where you can write music in notepad and play it in game.

How did they destroy this game? I much more enjoy it now post expansion. Did you play a minny from day one like I have. IT used to take forever to kill things. Now they have ballanced the game by allowing minnys to do resonable dps if they want to solo more.

love the video, and thanks for sharing with us what it will be like for mincers in bk 7... but i have to disagree with your final comment... Mincers were not powerful... they were only powerful in SoA, then got nerfed in moria... atm its quite a challenge to defeat a signature at your level (not saying impossible, but its a challenge)... with this, at least we can solo without problems... mind you the ballads are hardly used now... it all about the WS attacks :)

This is what I feared.

I loved the changes that came with Moria. Actually had to think about the skills to cast for a change. This looks like a ballad casting machine gun. :(

Just why, whenever changing something for the worse or better, do they so have to overdo things?

I wouldn't call it OP, but powered up to par with the rest, and not having to spend twice the time on a mob than every other class will be nice.

yes because minstrels would take so long to kill a mob and have so much power left over. now they can use their power and the good part is the ballads are not THAT strong so its like a mini machine gun and any class could still beat it it just depends on skill now and not class.

Only thing is, you're comparing apples to oranges. I realize you're just trying to show the speed difference, but some people might not realize that and see the monster health not going down as fast and scream, "OMG OP!!! NERF!! NERF!!!" Ettenmoors norbogs vs. level 5 mobs is not a good example. =P

It's definitely OP just how fast they can be used, especially if other attacks in between are fired off instantly as well.

DEFINATELY over powered. For example, I can already beat almost the entire server in a spar, now with ballads this fast I will never lose. Ballads aren't our hard hitters, but we are able to use them in between our WS skills, and now we can use even more of them in between, making us OP. You'll have to wait and see for yourselves I suppose.

You're mistake is thinking that because you can beat people in sparring that this is overpowering.

Sparring prowess should not be used as an indicator of class effectiveness.

The game isn't supposed to be balanced for spars. Never has. I could heal through max-hunter damage pre-Moria, with just our main heal.

Never said I could. But have a LM put stun immunity on the burg and yourself, and you could take a burglar down on DPS alone.
