@DaBossk yup, the first one closest to the cab drive all the time, you can flip the "Diff Lock" switch on the dash and it uses air to lock both axles together to get out of slippery/muddy situations...

Resting area looks comfy but the rest of that thing is hopelessly outdated, especially the drivers operating area (the dashboard). Compare that to trucks of the same period from Mack's parent company Volvo, or Mercedes or Scania. There's a reason Mack don't sell outside North America.

I just came to drove one ! With a Mp8 motor and a 18 speed trans. Nice truck ! Realy nice truck ! Soft, quiet and powerful at any RPM. And engine brakes are very effective even if they dont make noise as jacob brakes. Inside every things you need is close to your hand i love it !

@oigres223 It's only got 400hp and a very short RPM range (something like 600-2000). Big diesel engines are made for low revs to save fuel and aren't made to provide awesome acceleration :P

When you're not fully loaded most of the gears are skipped, but with a lot of cargo you need many gears and the optimum (fuel saving) RPM range isn't wide.

Not a truck driver BTW, just know some basics.
