  • Funny thing is Oregon fans stopped caring about this game long ago whilst OU fans still complain...

  • half the team is offside too

  • Dan Fouts has announced some big 'payoff' games. This bogus onside kick game and the 2002 Fiesta Bowl where Miami had the title stolen from a phantom PI call in the end zone.

  • Looks Like Mike paied the reffs good money!

  • uuum, who ended up possessing the ball? the video is incomplete, i dont understand what the point of this posting is. yea, oregon touched the ball first , then it looked like OU recovered. so, wouldnt OU just decline the "illegal touch" penalty and take the ball? what am i missing here?

  • Doesn't matter if it went 10 yards or not. Oklahoma still recovered the ball. How the referees still award the ball to Oregon is absolutely ridiculous

  • Who gives a shit if it didn't go 10 yards? OU recovered the damn ball, look at #23

  • Oregon touches the ball before it goes 10 yards.. #23 of Oklahoma recovers the ball anyways.. The football is awarded to Oregon. Yeah, I think thats a shitty call.

  • dude, ou didnt have it, you could clearly see it didnt even touch ous hand, just saying.

  • This was not enough to change your reality of life. It was really close to ten yards. Go ducks.

  • @Jeffersonwazright that's not the problem, it is a problem because it was NOT 10 yards, but even after all that shit, in the end ou had the ball. in my mind the worse call in college football ever. and yeah im still pissed about it.

  • @bobob0000 Easily not the worst call in college football. Easily. Quack Quack. Hope we meet in the Championship.

  • @Jeffersonwazright please, i would like to know what you think is the worst call, you must have one if you this isn't worthy. and you must not understand what is really going on here, this isn't the whole video. so you can't really say much about it. and i'm pretty sure you're biased ignorant oregon fan which is okay and all, but real sports fans are trying to talk.

  • @bobob0000 I don't know what was the worst call but this is not it. This call was 1 yard away from ten and it was hard to see from afar if the Oregon player touched it before 10 yards. Easily not the worst call ever. If it is, the refs are near perfect, and I know they are not.

  • @Jeffersonwazright you must've not heard me the first time. this isn't the whole video. ou still ends up with the ball, not oregon. that's why it's the worst call, you need to watch another that show everything. so by this video you cant tell.

  • @bobob0000 Oregon got the ball. Dumbass.

  • @tbren76 wow did you even watch the game? I have no doubt in my mind that you're wrong. you have no idea what you're talking about so just shut the fuck up. at the end of the play, an ou player had the ball and raised it in the air and was walking away, the stupid refs didnt even notice him. that was the first time either team had possesion of the ball. watch #23 for ou at 6 seconds, he grabs the ball. any other questions "dumbass?"

  • @bobob0000 Sorry about that. I didn't write that reply calling you a dumbass. This computer was logged into my account and someone thought it would be funny to troll. I've watched the ending of that game countless times and still get pissed about how it went down.

  • @tbren76 haha alright man I understand. It's cool.

  • @bobob0000 Thanks.

  • For it to be a "bad call" there had to be judgement. This was an obvious hosing because it's obvious that OU recovered the ball, so for them to reward the ball to Oregon was them making up the fact that they saw that happen. Oh well, water under the bridge. Number 8 in 2011!!

  • Hmmm OU must really suck... OU has one more games than any other school since WWII. Most Big 12 Championships. Their like 2nd or 3rd for most National Titles. Yeah....We really so suck. I wish people who didnt know football would keep their mouth shut. Boomer Sooner. Oklahoma vs. Standord in the National Title game. OU winning of course

  • I had $100 on Oklahoma recovering that onside kick, thanks alot refs.

  • Even if it did touch an OU player first Number 23 for the sooners gains possesion at the end of the play.

  • @verdicchio10

Wow so Blake Griffin got the benefit of the doubt in football too. Shit.

  • Just to let everyone know

I love the fact that sooner fans have to just sit back and take it. They are a bunch of loud assholes, and the fact that they were humbled in front of even louder assholes makes it that much sweeter.

Its still my second favorite game played that season though. Funny how the sooners lose in that one too.

  • Just to let everyone know

    1. Oregon touched it before it traveled 10 yards, which by rule awards the ball to Oklahoma

    2. #23 Allen Patrick(OU player) recovered the ball, which also awards the ball to Oklahoma

    3. The refs reviewed the play, but still somehow decided to awards Oregon the ball

  • we really should be bitching about hartley missing the field goal.

  • Hahahahahahhahahahahaha. It was a bad call. But there are bad calls in everygame, some that change the game drastically and some that don't. Shit happens.

  • I'll admit, it was a horrible call, but I love watching OU get f**ked. The most annoying fans in all of college football. This happened because OU had it coming!! HAHAHAHAHA!! You wouldn't have made it to the National title that year anyway, you already sucked!! And still do. The reason you choke in every bowl and title game is you're over rated every year. If the poll voters weren't all OU fans, then maybe you wouldn't be known as CHOKELAHOMA!!

  • @BattleBorne.....you cant be one to talk about playing weak teams only reason the ducks stayed in the top 5 was their scheduel was so weak and since the bcs is all about stats it was easy for oregon to stay in the top 5....seriously new mexico and portland state and you played for the bcs title game....whats next are you going to play against 10 year olds

  • As bad of a call this was, no one seems to even notice that OU actually came away with the football. #23 Allen Patrick falls on it at the 50 yard line

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OREEEEEEEEEGGGGGOOOOONNNNNNNNN DUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

  • Yeah we got hosed on the call but it's up to the D to force a punt or hold them to a field goal. Unfortunately BV sucks so that didn't happen.

  • the play/game that made me the oregon duck/college football fan i am today such an exciting game, i was 10 years old

  • Anyone else want a minute of their life back?

  • im a duck fan and that was definitely oklahomas football, i mean im happy that they messed that up cuz it resulted in a win for us, but it shouldnt have happened

  • LOL, I'm pretty sure Oklahoma can't win a decent bowl game unless they are playing an unranked team from the WORST BCS conference. Oh, and btw, what happened to your conference??? The Big XII will soon vanish into obscurity. Good luck with sloppy seconds playing teams nobody cares about. Where are your balls? BTW, did you hear about the new ESPN deal with the Pac-12? THREE BILLION DOLLARS. LMAO, a lot of money and none left for you!!! Good luck working the soup kitchen Sooners. LOLOLOLOL

  • @BattleBorne Better check your facts again.

  • @BattleBorne lol dude that must be why every conferance in the nation wants OU to join the sec,pac12 and the big 10 have all invited OU you know nothing about college football the sooners will never fall and if i do recall no other teams have won more games over the past 10 years been to the most BCS games or national title games yea we dont win it every time we go but its better than your team and not making it at all ROFLCOPTERZ you are a idiot

  • Bout time OU got screwed for once.

  • @ZDiddy9683 Fuck you!

  • @ZDiddy9683 Fuck you!

  • Yes, it was the wrong call. Absolutely the wrong call. Hopefully my ducks will beat OU fair and square in the title game this year.

  • 0:45 hits his elbow.but i still love U of O

  • this whole game still makes me mad they robbed us from a nat title

  • @borklight

    Robbed?

    You chocked on Auburn's dick.

  • I was on the 50 yard line that game! Best game ever! GO DUCKS!!!

  • it was really funny when the polls still voted oregon ahead of oklahoma after this game, even though everyone knew it was bs

  • @iMIpAcTzz 3-0 still trumps 2-1. What'd you expect?

  • Should have been a false start too.

  • yeah this did happen a long time ago but any fan of football can still be upset especially after another call this season during the stanford game the replay official was punished for that call then i have to hear oregon fans bitch about the calls in the bcs title game gotta be kidding me oregon fans bitching about calls when we can looks at clips like this its called karma

  • who won

  • @violenceteacher6669 the Organ ducks by like 100 and still didnt get the #1 rank

  • @supersasukemaniac @violenceteacher6669 you not a good teacher ou lost by 2

  • @supersasukemaniac - You don't jump from #18 to #1 for "beating" the #15 team, dumbass.

  • @pdxsooner uh yeah it does look at "The" Ohio state from 2 years ago there where rank 18 going against ranked 15 Georgia tech and beat them by a tochdown and the next week Ohio State was #1 in the rankings

  • This gets my blood boiling even four years later!!!!

  • @DivineAnger You need to calm the fuck down... its sport... nothing more! Jesus tittie fucking Christ!!!

  • @pubuman Why shouldn't I be angry at this? This horrible call let them win the game, which cost us a shot at the National Championship that year!

  • If you listen closely from 0:08 to 0:27 you can hear what seems to be the voice of Satan trying to communicate with the referee's from the other side...maybe he had something to do with this?

  • I'm an OU fan and this call made me want to kill those officiators.

  • So anyway does anyone have any doubt that if that same play was kicked by the Sooners AT OREGON that the refs would have called a penalty against the Sooners and upheld the call after video review, of course they would because upon review you can see it did not travel 10 yards and was touched by an Oregon player first. For sure if roles were reversed refs would have reviewed and upheld a penalty against the Sooners if they kicked off and covered that play the same.

The video is clear to review.

  • LOL, bad call or not, this was really a blessing in disguise, because the last time I checked Oklahoma didn't belong in any BCS game in recent memory, or much less in a national championship game. The Sooners can't play with the big boys. They need to be relegated to the Beef O' Brady Bowl for as long as there is a WAC or MAC team that has less than three losses. Good luck against the Big Least this year!!! ROTFLMAO AT THE SOONERS!!!

  • @BattleBorne Guess who won ther fucking BCS bowl game! Oklahoma! How did the Ducks do... Yeah, so shut the fuck up

  • @BattleBorne How many BCS championships do the Oregon Ducks have again? Oh yeah, zero!

  • piss-poor call but to be honest, i don't care at all. OU gets so much preferential treatment from the ncaa. always being put in games they don't deserve to be in and always get spanked. but this was a horrible call

  • Comment removed

  • what makes this play even worse is that even if the oregon player was 10 yards an oklahoma player still clearly came up with the ball and holds it up how the hell did all this happen the worst call I have ever seen

  • @bdbaker1 You are a fucking lunatic! Have you ever heard of momentum?

  • I cant believe how recent some of these comments are... this game is 4 + years old now. Yah it was blown call and it put OK in a major pinch. Did it THEN AND THERE lose the game for them? NO. Oklahoma had a chance, not only to stop the drive that Oregon began after the "recovery" BUT ALSO TO SCORE ON THEIR OWN POSSESSION AFTERWARDS. They could have won in both instances...AND FAILED. Good teams/coaches face adversity (yes girls that includes horrible calls) and FIND A WAY TO WIN. Get over it.

  • i cant believe people are arguin about who touched it first when clearly oregon never even recovered the ball in the first place... watch at 25 seconds, and watch #23 in white...

  • Ball clearly hits Oklahoma player on the helmet - negating the 10-yard rule. Live ball at that point. Refs determined that Oregon player recovered the ball... Good call. Sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @scubadogg but oregon never even recovered it dumbass.... leave you fucking random

  • @TimmySkorcher It's too bad that your such a moron. You don't understand the rule making it a live ball (it bounces off OU #19's helmet), and the fact that you also must be blind in not seeing Oregon's #15 recover the ball, maintain possession, and is down. "Never even recovered it"? really? REALLY? Watch YOUR video again fucktard.

  • @scubadogg

They laughed at me when I saw the same thing. The ball did travel 10 yards. The kick was made on the 35 yard line and the ball hit the helmet of OU #19 on the 45 yard line and then the Oregon player #15 was over it when the whistle blew. However, that last part isn't for sure since you can't hear the whistle but it has been said it blew.

But who cares any more? It wasn't a decision made by the Ducks or the Sooners. It was made by the reviewing official.

  • @gorgegirl4 check your depth preception. it did not hit that OU player.

  • @scubadogg ok... First off it hit no one from OU. 2nd even if it hit an OU player.. #15 did not even touch the ball. Still dont believe? then why did the PAC 10 suspend the referee for making an obvious wrong fucking call dumb ass.. you suck worse then them!

  • @TimmySkorcher yes it did look at any of the replays. Retard.

  • @VivaLaChase21 you know what, til this moment in time, i actually didnt think they made the right call and was embarassed that this was made in the ducks favor cuz im a duck fan, but that is actually right. nice job

  • @TimmySkorcher on a kickoff it doesnt have to hit somebody for it to be a free ball it has to go 10 yards but this one did not go 10 yards

  • @buccaneer34 unless an oklahoma player touches the ball before it goes ten then it is live. Since the Oregon player touched the ball prior to going ten yards it is a violation of the rules and is a rekick i believe ( could even be the other teams ball at the spot of the foul not quite sure). It was a bad call but it is Oklahomas fault for even letting oregon get into the spot it was in to win it but letting them continue to score. Stop them and this call is a bad one but doesn't effect the game.

  • @scubadogg you are fucking stupid.. even the announcers talk about how 23 on OU picked the ball up.. gtfoh.

  • @scubadogg You're so fucking smart

  • @scubadogg are you fucking retarded? The Oregon player touched it before it went 10 yards and at the end of the play #23 recovered it. You say its a good call? Then why the hell do you think the refs got suspended after the game??? You seriously are a moron

  • @scubadogg ur so retarded i cant even think of a fancy way to say it. congrats, you are THAT RETARDED

  • @scubadogg It cleary its an oregon fuck well before it hits a sooner, plus, Oklahoma ends up with the ball. Did you even watch the fucking video?

  • I believe that back then the instant replay that officials saw when making the call wasn't the same footage seen here. I think they had separate cameras from which to judge plays and didn't have access to the broadcast footage.

  • and oklahoma came out with the football anyways too lmao... just watch in the back of the pile

  • I also remember Dan Fouts (arguably the greatest player in Oregon history) talking about how Oklahoma was being robbed. Add it all up, and it's clear that the refs gave Oregon the game.

  • O wait...OU is #1 is the nation....and Oregon is #2.....weird.

  • Duck U!

  • who cares oregons going all the way this year

  • OU is not going this year hahahah

  • Ball didn't go 10 yards. It hit an Oregon player. OU actually recovered the ball. Ball somehow goes to Oregon. OU was robbed at a shot of the national championship game. OU is going this year though, and it might be against Oregon!

  • The refs clearly whistled the play dead before the Oklahoma player ever had the ball. So, the refs said the Oregon player recovered the ball and was down before the Oklahoma player recovered the ball. That part isn't even reviewable and cannot be reversed. Oregon must retain the ball since the play was whistled dead while they had posession. The only argument Oklahoma has is whether the ball in fact went ten yards before an Oregon player touched it. That part of the video isn't clear.

  • @BattleBorne First of all it was clear as day that an Oregon player touched it before it went 10 yards. How can you seriously argue that it wasn't clear are you blind?! secondly I don't see how the officials could award the Ducks the ball when they never had possession during that play.

  • That was such a horrible call I was watching that game I couldn't belive it

  • :27 on the right side of the screen. watch #23 from OU pick up the ball and roll.

  • greatest title for a video ever

  • Yes, not only did they touch the ball before it went 10 yards, but OU came out with the ball. To overturn something like that means you had already made the call in your head.

  • nevermind that...why did oklahoma let them score a TD with a min left!

  • i guess the refs also on this play gave oregon the yardage needed for the winning TD over the"best D " in the country. bottom line is okie D was pathetic & lost the game for the sooners.all this crying over a refs call, i guess we should go back in time & change EVERY bad call that went against oregon & change them . classic whining by a spoiled team that is constantly overranked in a confrence that is overrranked

  • @jduborygun well there was a phantom pass interference call where clearly the ball is tipped at the line by a OU defensive lineman... rules state once a ball is batted or tipped there is no interference to be called...but wuteva this was too many years back ...

  • oregon's #15 recovered the ball, but a clear 10 yard rule violation occurred. Oklahoma football, game over.

  • You guys are still crying over this game? Fuck man get over it we blocked your field goal at the end you had your chance. You guys are just pissed because this loss sent you to play boise and we all know what happened there.

  • @kutuupfan game was over at this play man...OU's defense should have been on the bench after this. but after the refs gave UO this gift, they gave them another in the form of yet another bogus penalty which gave Oregon a first down and then a TD.....this game has taint written all over it and if i'm a true duck fan, i know that....that's why we're still yapping about it after 4 years.

  • As the great Artie Lange would say: WAAAAAHHHH!!!

  • Oklahoma Trash just can't stand it when they lose.

  • @19Truth53

If you can't see that the refs blew the calls on this game, you are blind

  • And if you contend that a SINGLE CALL in an ENTIRE GAME was the turning point in a game, then OU wasn't doing that well to begin with.

  • I was there!!! Unbelievable game. Nobody in the stadium had any clue that the call was blown. The officiating was just bad in this game; there were numerous other calls (many of which favored the Sooners) that were also dead wrong.

And I'm curious as to how, exactly, this call changed your philosophy on life.

  • @JuniperSprouts ur fucking retarded

  • Well, when the ball is first touched it appears that OU 19's helmet makes first contact. But now after looking in stop motion and slow motion, the Oregon player made first contact. OU football, game is over.

  • Ray Charles could have made that call. 1st down Oklahoma and game over.

  • This should count as 3 blown calls all at the same time. they missed the fact that Oregon touched it first, that it didnt go 10 yards, and they missed the fact that no oregon player was holding a football after the play (not sure how you can mess that one up). This and Colorados 5th down play are in my opinion the worst calls ever, Big 12, I'm sorry but ur officiating is crappy.

  • Oklahoma is full of AIDS and fail.

  • @JuniperSprouts You are a girl right? You can't even play football, so why are you watching it? Lol double fail.

  • @nork21 Some girls watch football for the men who play....so I guess it makes sense that they don't watch OU? By the way, I pass.

  • HORRIBLE CALL. Oregon sucks, that's the important thing.

  • hey oregon fans... how did that rose bowl go?? HAHAHAH y'all suck so much dick

  • boise state has beaten them both

  • @jaymanley1974 and how many national titles does bsu have?.... ask an ou fan the same question lol

  • even though it was passed the 40 yard line, they wouldnt have gotten the ball because oklahoma recovered

  • guess wat oklahoma recovered the freakin football at 0.27 thats y the call is ridiculously horrible then the 10 yard thing is just the cherry on top

  • Oregon was given the possession here. This was such an incredibly poor job of officiating that the NCAA SUSPENDED this crew of refs for the following weekend. Yeah, for all you dickheads that are un-informed (yet you think you know football! Ha!) the NCAA officially acknowledged after the game that the refs blew this call big-time and as a result the refs basically handed the game to Oregon. Does this clear up anything for some of you dumb asses? Now go back to thinking you know about football.

  • Oregan's ball #19 hit it first

  • i hope youre fucking joking

  • @colinreturn

No, he isn't (partyl). In the last slomo you can see the ball first touching the player's helmet. But what causes the OU player to touch the ball like he did (instead of making a grab for it) was an illegal block by Oregon. The ball had not yet traveled the required 10 yards before contact was made. Not looking for the possible foul (which would have made all other action inconsequential to the outcome of the play) was the official's main error.

5 yd penalty, repeat the kick.

  • @colinreturn i hope you remember that ou had a chance to WIN, yes WIN the game on a field goal, which by the way was going to be kicked by the best kicker in the nation, and oregon BLOCKED IT!!!!! so really, ou was still givin' the chance to win, but they got blocked just like a crap caller on the Jim Rome show!

  • @colinreturn No it looked like it from my vantage point as well. 0:47 I would have to see other angles though.

  • @mongoose704 Actually start at 0:45

  • @colinreturn I agree. It hit an Oregon player before it went 10 yards. That is sad that anyone thinks otherwise. Don't know the rules, clearly.

  • @55t1

    Are you retarded?

  • Ray Charles could have made that call. Oklahoma ball and game over. Even Dan Foust, Oregon grad, said OU ball. That game still pisses me off.

  • @55t1 You are a complete fucking idiot.

  • @55t1 can u tell us at exactly wat point u see this?

  • @55t1 ur a dumbass!! allen patrick(23) clearly recoverd the fucking football!!

  • @55t1 really dude you do realize even if it went 10 yards even if it bounced off a sooner OKLAHOMA RECOVERED THE BALL!

  • @55t1 You're an idiot, the ball was touched by the Oregon player before it went 10 yards, at that point it's a dead ball, and Oklahoma gets the ball. Not to mention the fact that Oregon, never recovered the ball, Oklahoma did. Idiot!!!

  • @55t1 I don't like Oklahoma... but if you think Oklahoma touched it before oregon on that kick, you are a f*cking moron. then ofcourse they got screwed on the possesion part of the play too. Oklahoma 1st & 10.

  • @55t1 I hope you're joking too. Oklahoma can touch that ball whenever they want. Oregon had to wait, but Oklahoma recovered either way.

  • @55t1 You're kidding right?

  • @55t1 You. Are. Retarded.

  • The Ducks player obviously touches the ball first before it goes 10 yards... is that not the rule?

What was the ruling on field?

  • OU sucks.

  • So does jersey

  • Yeah it does.

  • wasntthere replay then?

but it may have been a hard caal cuz it happened so fast

  • it's really funny because Oregon didn't even recover, Oklahoma did.

  • Exactly, there are picks of Allen Patrick holding the ball in the air while clueless refs are still looking for it.

  • not a good angle, the camera is behind the line that the ball had to cross, and it was certainly close. They should have called it right, the ball was high in the air and came down with number 4 trying to retrieve it, but did not because of the Oregon player. After several looks, the play certainly did look as if it was short of the ten yard rule. Bad reffin.

  • the angle doesn't really matter. Notice that the closest Oklahoma player steps on the 45 yard line and jumps toward the ball and the Oregon player is still the first one to get to it. Looks like no matter how you look at this the refs blew it

  • yes, the refs did blow that call, even though it was close. the ref that made that call was suspended after the game.

  • LOL @ OKLAHOMA

  • I read on the internet that the replay official clearly saw it was OU ball but for some stupid rule about "Inconclusive" evidence or something kept him from ruling that.

  • Dixon's stand-out season was in '07. I'm pretty sure this is '06.

  • the ball belongs to kick return

  • What's the problem here? An Oregon player touched the ball before it went 10 yards. It doesn't matter if an OU player touches it afterward the play is over due to penalty because an Oregon player touched the ball before it went ten yards. I personally hate OU and don't give a damn about the Ducks but that was a good call.

  • should try a playoff system, im fuckin tired of this bull BCS system i know it brings in the chedder but, hell, PLAYOFFS!, would be pretty tight and would give alot of teams a equal chance
