the path of a warrior is to maintain peace, the path of a lover is to disolve hate, the path of a king is to calm ambition, the path of a player is to look for truth.
Accept and trascend, everything in nature is a paradox, happyness excels every form, or wish, is infinite.
You hit the nail on the head with the comment 'the world is your dojo' -- in the western practice of martial arts that is so often forgotten. A true martial artist has that everyday inner mental strength to match their physical strength. As a yogini I see the same in modern yoga practice. Many seem to focus on the purely physical aspect forgetting that the point is to have a strong and sound mind to accompany that firm body, and take that oft fleeting sense of peace into everyday life.
@sandwich451 I love the idea of the true swordsmaster - the pinnacle of swordsmanship is winning the battle without ever drawing your sword. That your opponent believes you are stronger, and thus forcing them to defer without testing your skills or risking injury.
Best fighting advice I ever heard was from Master Lee. 'Be water.'
