@MrBFG317 that is a very hard item to find but we can narrow it down a bit by first getting a ilvl 99 baal small charm and ass loads of perfect gems/ 3 pgems + sc + cube = random small charm. since the ilvl of the charm is 99 it can be any magic prefix comination in the game.  Also re-roll the small charm with a high level character(90 is good)

@Madhofd well yes and no for every advantage there are often large disadvantages why its not commonly done. 2 hand wep = damage yes / block no / fewer options in weapons / offten attack distance is the same. 2 weapons 1 handed (lets say grief/beast zerks) can offer more damage and more attack options (cb/ow/ds) vs a 2 hand weap like eth warpike ebotd. using 1 handed weps just give more flexibility to a character and not at a cost of damage.

I never start out with a barb because it requires a lot of gear and they cant kill mobs as fast as a caster can with dirt cheap gear when your starting off ladder. but the death runeword you just need to find a vex and the other runes are easy making it a solid early on pvm wep: ur forge or chaos hr drop and ur set so long as you have a good base wep for it.

@jay80856 bonespear is magic damage but not really considered elemental damage, with patch 1.13 paly hammers have been switch over to 100% magic damage. So besides elemental(+poison bla) damage you have physical,magic,open wounds. You can have 50% physical resistance(dr), 10%magic +direct absorb, 95% poison + max poison reduce items,elemental you can have 95% res +sorb to the specific element, how ever with open wounds there is no resistance and its every effective pvp.

Here is my suggestion. Edeathz is for frenzy barbs because it provides no ias and is good for left hand weapon on a frenzy barb. I cant find any other use for it due to its lack of ias.

@MrRob412 there are many places to go mf for things you want like if you want a good base item for a weapon or armor do pit runs because its tc 87 and anything can drop. in this patch cows there drops are bad for hrs but great for gems so you can socket armors with cube and use the high runes from chaos to for example make an enigma

@MrRob412 tc (treasure class is what items can drop based on area) a base weapon is a socketed or unsocketed weapon that you will use to make an runeword. tc 87 areas are special in that they can drop any item in the entire game (like a random monster dropping a zod or tryels might)

MF only decreases your chance of getting a ethereal 5 socket Berserker Axe, secondly it doesn't make much difference if you should choose to use a sword instead, and then Colossus Sword would be your best bid - since Death does not come with any ias but CS has higher damage output..

And if you go with grief, make sure it has as high ias as you can get, becuase it matters to Whirlwind..

hmm.... seeing as you're on ladder and you're killing w/ crushing blow and not rele weapon damage it would be better if you had a last wish phase blade. cuz last wish ignores target's defense, which means attack rating isn't necessary. plus, phase blades are faster than berserker axes.

@ichimurakun higher ias yes... ignore target defense does not work everywhere (act bosses/unique monsters ect) however pb is faster then zerk but zerks have way more physical damage and do not equire so much dex. if you want to meet the same ias pb as you were using a zerk add 15/40 jewels to you set up to offset the low base ias of a zerk.

@Unguidedone: why would damage matter, you clearly demonstrated that the extremely high damage Breath of Dying is slower at killing than Death (which has 50% crushing blow each). in otherwords, you are killing mephisto via crushing blows, not the damage. to make killing mephisto faster, you would just need a faster weapon. although, pb does need alot of dex, berserkers need alot of strength. and yes you can add jewls to berserker, but it wouldn't be a death axe anymore

@Unguidedone: oh and i don't rele like to rely on hires. by hell act 3, my merc would die super fast despite recieving my def and hp buffs. he's a defiance aura merc too. i find that it's alot easier and cheaper to not have a hireling around. (he's wearing duriels shell and has a pretty good rare scythe, and a decent rare helm so he's gear isn't bad) besides, he's got more hp and def than me and he still dies quick. so ya, i'm not big on relying on hire.

@Unguidedone: lol merc as meat shield, mebe in nightmare but not in hell. in a mob w/ 4-5 uniques . he'd last a grand total of 3 secs. 3 sec meat shield, not worth it. plus, i have to waste potions on him, watch his hp and my own hp while trying to move and aim w/ my character? this will only distract me. in hell, merc doesn't last. besides, w/ my current build, i am basically invincible. i can walk anywhere and not feel a thing. i've tested it and it works

@PROFDK that sounds very pvm. ebotd is great for leaching vs monsters but packs almost no punch damage wise. ya it has leach ias and 400% damage + 15% on wep ed but other then pvm it is really under powered. last wish can be make in 3 good weapons pb/zerk/cs but all are ment for pvm.  your not going to win a duel with last wish even if they do tap. it just does not have enough damage but the cb on it is great for ubers.

grief/grief is a great combo but so is grief/death and they are easy to get when you start ladder and are great end game weapons. also you can go with ebotd (ebotd sucks in my option) / beast

or when your starting out oath/ss or oath/death

grief/death are both ladder runewords so go make a mf sorc and start cleaing cows/pit and all act bosses to find a good base item to make a very nice grief. grief requires a Lo rune and death is gul vex is the only hrs needed

high runes are very very hard to get but you might find about 3-5 in your entire time playing d2. High runes drop at random but try and clear tc 87 areas because that is the highest tc so anything can drop like zod runes (dont hold your breath) the count can only drop up to Lo so only farm her for low runes and mid runes. Do cows and travical and bosses and cube cube cube them all. High runes are 99% of the time made this way.

Hi there. Nice videos. Just thought that I would let you know that dual weapon crushing blow and Deadly Strike doesn't stack. Your best bet is a Death weapon + Highlord's Wrath + Gore Riders. Around level 99 you will attain roughly 99% deadly strike. Each weapon gets their own roll with their own Deadly Strike chance + other equipment. Other than that, Not too shabby. :P

One thing to note is that none of the items (aside from weapons) had DS or CB. With Guillaume's Face, and Gore Riders, you'll have 30% Deadly Strike and 50% Crushing Blow on any weapon you wield.

This will bring BotD a lot closer to the damage of Death. Further, BotD has a ton of Life and Mana leach, which can help considerably, in addition to Dracul's.

Ofc, CB/crit would then be approx 100% with Death, 50% with BotD.

p.s. I was a bit lazy. With Guillaume's Face and Gore Riders as your non-weapon source of CB and DS, and perfect Dracul's for 10% lifesteal, you would have approx

50% CB, 30% DS (approx 39% overall chance to crit with slvl 24 weapon mastery) with BotD, with 24% lifesteal (with perfect BotD)

100% CB, 79% DS at clvl 99 (approx 84% overall chance to crit with slvl 24 weapon mastery) with Death, with 10% lifesteal with perfect Dracs.

Maybe make a vid to test it, I may be wrong.
