I was forcefully made to kneel before statues as a child and ordered to pray to them. St. Anne, St. Mary, St. Joseph, St. Patrick and many others to numerous to mention. I was required to recite the Rosary every night until I left home. If that is not praying to idols I don't know what is.

The judeo-christian god is however a falsifiable hypothesis (for me that is) because I look at the primitive tales of a primitive world from a rational, logical viewpoint. I could be wrong. I'm completely confused by this video. Is it's purpose to convince us the 2nd person of the Trinity is to be found in toast? If so, what kind? Wheat? Rye? Melba? Further, why would there be an emphasis on the body of Christ when from a simple reading of the chief text, the blood of Christ seems to be the focus. The orignal first century Christians never had or celebrated mass. I think the Bible is an allegory for how to conduct ones self in commerce. Plus, if Jesus were alive today I doubt that even he would claim to be a Christian. Just my thoughts. Not inviting debate. Just something to think about.

I must comment on the "just a book" thing. I believe the bible was written by God via man...it was written over a 1600 year period, 66 books of the bible, with over 40 men being used by God to write it....none of these men ever met one another, yet they all come up with the same conclusions...tell me there is not some power involved...

The Romans didnt go on slaughter spree's with the christians, Romans excepted all religions into their empire to keep the multitude of their people happy, it was christians that made themselves outcasts with their beliefs, going around telling other people that their far more ancient customs and beleifs were wrong, wich ended up in their persocution under the emporer Diocletian, used as scapegoats to the many bad things happening to the empire at the time.

Stevesilvia, um I can't let that one go either. Roman Catholics absolutely do not worship anywhere near like the first christians did. As soon as the Emperor Constantine took over, everything changed. He blended original Christianity with Roman Paganism. But don't fret, the Protestants don't have it right either because verything they have they got from the Romans as well. There really isn't anyone who is original except maybe the Coptics.

Stevesilvia, I cannot let this one go without commenting. I was raised by my mother to be a catholic. I was taught to pray to Mary and to pray to saints. I was forcefully made to kneel before statues as a child and ordered to pray to them. St. Anne, St. Mary, St. Joseph, St. Patrick and many others to numerous to mention. I was required to recite the Rosary every night until I left home. If that is not praying to idols I don't know what is.
