  • You just made me remember my childhood...thank you so much.

  • I miss cartoons where the characters didn't have to say one word but you knew exactly what was going on. This was one of my favorites.

  • i have a pinwheel dvd full of different episodes 40.00 shipped

  • @stockton209music Write me about this.

  • @lorax10 what would you like to know

  • Pinwheel Fanclub on Facebook. Check it out. Lots of things being planned for that site. Just look up "Pinwheel Fanclub" on Facebook. Enjoy an become a fan and share your love for this classic Nick show! :)

  • what was the name of this show?? does anyone know?

  • The show I remember this cartoon playing on was Nickelodeon's Pinwheel.

  • Kockásfülű nyúl, it's hungarian.

  • I remember this cartoon... Great memories

  • OMG I used to love this cartoon!

  • this is great i loved this toon

  • Again, haven't seen this in 25 years. Made me all teary-eyed....

  • @lothartheterrible Me too ! I experienced the same feeling. It brought something special back to me !

  • Wow! Not to sound like most of the posts here, but my brother and i used to watch Pinwheel around '81-'82. I remember this like it was yesterday, even though we were like 7 when we watched it. These are such a treasure to see again. God bless the early 80's...you new kiddies missed out.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhh home again.........

  • Those are EXACTLY what I've been thinking of! FABULOUS...thanks so much! :)

  • Do you guys remember little cartoon shorts on (I THINK) Pinwheel that had all kinds of cute bugs and really funky music on it. I remember a ladybug, and a (bee?) that would suck pollen out of flowers. If you find these anywhere please let me know!!! :D

  • Just read an article about it.

This cartoon was made between 1975-1978 in Hungary (screenplay by Veronika Marék, a Hungarian, who wrote tales for children)

BTW when I was 7 years old we met her in a local library and than she spoke about this cartoon as something will come soon into Hungarian television :) Jesus, I'm really old :)

Oh, and just looked around. If you copy paste the Hungarian title:

    "A kockásfülű nyúl"

you will find some episodes on youtube. Enjoy :)

  • I was thinking about this the other day when I saw some other pinwheel vids on here. Pinwheel was rad and had some rad cartoons. Thanks for posting this. Brings back memories.

  • Thank you. I had completely forgotten about this until just now. I agree with the other comments...bring back creativity. Especially...does anyone remember this...the one about all of the monsters in the house? Or the guy talking about the "glutton that ate my last button?"

  • All these Nickelodeon shows, Chapi Chapo, Suitcase Bunny, Pinwheel, etc..... Oh my god it has been so long. This is why I think You Tube truly is a blessing to us kids from the 70's and early 80's. You just can't find this stuff at Target.

  • oh my god... i love this bunny so much. i forgot all about him until now. thank you!!!

  • Wow, I remember this cartoon , I must have about 5 or 6. *sniff* This takes me back to being with my mom in the morning watching tv on tyhe living room rug while she made pancakes or was cleaning around the house. Thank you sooo much for posting this beloved childhood memory....nikenna

  • Ohmigod!!!!! Thank you for posting this!!!

  • I loved Pinwheel, and seeing this makes me feel like I am 8 yrs old again and watching this show.

  • OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

Bunny in a Suitcase was my FAVORITE!!

This just makes me wanna cry!!

  • I can still remember the music -- esp the trumpet part (with the telescope)

  • Wow... I just barely remember this! I used to twist up my stuffed rabbit's ears and throw him across the room, trying to make him fly like this character. How cool to see this again! Does anyone remember Emily - a Pinwheel cartoon about a little girl with a pet hedgehog? I'd love to see that again.

  • Ah!! I loved the bunny!! Yes, he did fly with his ears, they spun like rotors on a helicopter.

I also liked Plus and Minus, and the snail guy, but I didn't like the Lovebugs. They annoyed me.

Oh! And the big Gypsy lady, and the Mime and the guy that kept sounds in boxes, and the cartoon about the kid that sat in the top of the tree and told stories about his day.... man I loved that show.

  • I had completely forgot about this old cartoon until now :| Doesn't the bunny fly with his ears too?

  • This is old-school right here! Back when I was little (early to mid '80s), I can remember watching Pinwheel on Nickelodeon. I always liked this little guy's "theme song," if you will. It's funny, I can't really remember any of the episodes, but I've always had the theme song (and the style of the animation) stuck inside my head, buried under other memories. This clip unearthed the intro, thank you!

  • pinwheel dvd on sale bow ob ebay

  • brought tears 2 my eyes....

  • I had forgotten all about this show. Thanks for posting this!!

  • another drug revolution will help us in that vicinity

  • holy sheet. i remember this.fuckin pinwheel. one of the better parts of that show. damn nickelodeon has come a long ways.

  • yeah, a long ways to dumbin' down their audience: children. this shit was a lot more creative than what's being pumped through the sets today.

  • For the love of God, will someone please upload more Pinwheel episodes and shorts?

  • Thanks for loading the whole cartoon. Oh wait. You didnt. Nevermind then. You suck.

  • Love it!! This was my favortie show when I was growing up. What a shame Nickelodeon won't put them out on DVD or anything.

  • I had forgotten all about that bunny! Thanks!

  • Awwww, I loved him too!

  • I ADORED this bunny growing up - how he used to go off and help people ... I loved him for that.

  • You wouldn't know where these things came from, but could you guess this cartoon came from Hungary? I sure didn't!

The actual title of the series is "The Rabbit with the Chequered Ears" as the title roughly translates to, and was produced by Pannonia Filmstudios in Budapest.

  • Thanks Toledo1837....Why'd you get blunked?

    f that....you rock....

  • THANK YOU for sharing this information!!!!

  • I loved this show so much, I would pretend to be sick, so I could stay home and watch all four hours of it. HA!

  • I used to love this one!!!!!!!

  • Boy, that opening brought back memories. I remember one episode where the bunny helped one girl try to get her artwork safely to an art contest inside a portfolio, and another where this little girl took her sister's red and green chalk crayons and began to draw flowers on everything (including at one point, flowers all over this one guy's van-needless to say, he wasn't happy, and she sadly had to wash away the art she had drawn).

  • The animated segments of Pinwheel were my favorite. I loved them 'cause they were strange, fun and often beautiful. Plus, they didn't cram numbers and letters--which I already knew--down your throat like Sesame Street. Thanks for sharing this!!

  • that right there is my fav cartoon ever, there is nothing else like it, thank you

  • i feel so old. thanks i love nostalgic stuff like that. PINWHEEL RULES!

  • When was this cartoon made and from what show?

    cute bunny!
