What a good hearted movie. Love the songs, love the European flavor mixed in. Just loved it. I loved it then, and still today. Wish they had better audio, better director and better writer, but the music was outstanding. And Peter ran through the crowd so cutely, like a little boy, so precious. Loved it! Alot of talent in this film. Never heard of Sandy Farina till this film and loved her version of the beatles songs.

I think this is a "fun" movie; I was 22 when the movie made its debut. Always loved Peter Frampton (still do), and Steve Martin is super in his role at Maxwell!

@galnic61 Peter Frampton still rocks...just saw him recently. In retrospect the movie is good campy fun w/ a bunch of great musicians. I don't think it even came to our town theater when it came out...we heard it was so bad. But I love it - it's so corny it's funny & some of my favorite people show up in it. Just look at the cast on IMDB.

I really think the performance of this song is really great. I am really impressed about the quality and accurate festive tone of the cover. I am a big fan of the Beatles but you have to appreciate the talent of the BGs.
