my best friend had a baby i feel so sorry for her because she was only 17 and her baby died at three months she was born with an inlarged toung and her intestines out of her stomach but she was beautiful
Man. This family has gone through some jacked up shit... Fire, locusts, Pa falling out of a tree, Laura shooting Pa, Mary getting hurt on a horse, then going blind, the dog dies, the baby dying... Did I leave anything out? So much DRAMA!! The books seem tame.
@candlelight482 i dont believe it either, is there a particular way to pray? they say god hears our prayers but when they dont get answered, is it coz he has a bigger plan? or its jus mere chance, and has nothing to do with a greater being? i jus want to know the truth :(
@sjssrox why do others seem 2 have it all & are so lucky to have it all, while others pray & pray for who & what they want & dont get it ,& r sick & tired of watching everyone else around them have & get what they want w/o even trying, & ur a good person don't smoke, dont use drugs or drink or steal & u get it rite in the face over & over, I dont know about this truth

@candlelight482: Charles Frederick "Freddie" Ingalls junior, called Freddie, was, indeed, Laura's baby brother. He lived for only 9 months (a bit longer than in this episode). Laura didn't mention him in her Little House book but only, according to the Wikipedia, in an unpublished memoir called Pioneer Girl where she said that "Little brother was not well" and "one terrible day, he straightened out his little body and was dead". Maybe it was simply too sad for her to mention in her other books.

I remember this episode being my sister's and I favorite from season 1 it was just a happy/sad episode, we wished Charles jr. had lived.
