U are speaking from personal experience, in that u have a husband who is of less than average intellect. There are many relationships where the men are in every way the relational superiors. Intellectually, physically, emotionally, sexually. The problem is that we live in a feminized society, where it is un-PC to show a brilliant man and a mooching lazing wife. The women have to be brilliant and ethereal and the men are just dumd fucks lucky to have them. This is not everyone's reality, however.

The intelligent guys on TV are all tragically flawed, a fact to which I am not completely opposed. Dexter is a serial killer. Hank Moody is a sex addict, which is awesome!!. Tony Soprano was fat, but he had street smarts and he was a sociopath. Monk is intelligent, but has ridiculous OCDs, etc.
