@DrClash loved this music though. I also listened 2 bands like Joy Division, Siouxsie & Banshees, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, The Neon Judgment, Einstürzende Neubauten, Sisters of Mercy, Anne Clarke, Clan of Xymox, Legendary Pinkdots & a lot more and I stíll listen 2 that music. Dont mind what I wrote before, that was more about the time I lived in, when this music was in (80's). There were a lot of neo-nazi bands and some only used parts of it, like Laibach or nazi-punks like The Exploited.
Not every band needs to talk about puppies and teenage romance. There is other stuff going on in the world. Not talking about it or evoking it won't make it go away.
Thanks for posting this - good to see there's actually something really quite good done under the SPK name around 83 or so (it was downhill from there) .. as for the "fascist" stuff, I hazard a guess they did it to shock... part of the Australian larrikin sense of humour.
@Boadicea6 Laibach did not have a swastika on any of their albums. On Opus Dei they used an image depicting 4 axes tied together in the shape of a swastika by John Heartfield, the famous artist who, for his overt anti nazi stance, fled from Germany in 1933.
@TheGreatEcstasy Laibach did have a swastika on the album, 'cause I have it, sorry but I don't see 4 axes in it. But the piece I wrote about the war was just about bands that used nazi-lyrics, SPK didn't. I loved their music, especially In Flagrante Delicto (oh Maria, Oh Maria......great voice and music, almost as if you're in church, loved it!!)

Great music, just a pity that they were such fascists, with their "Sieg Heil", allthough that word alone doesn't nessecarely mean it's a link to Hitler, but why would they sing it if not to make a statement. It's the music that counts with this song.

Jeez, what a bunch of stunned mullets the audience are in this. Did the band nail everyone's feet to the floor beforehand?

Ministry's "The Land of Rape and Honey" carries their own "Sieg Heil"s as well.

SPk were anarcho nihilistic stuff. La Edad de Oro was a great spanish tv program, shame Einsturzende Neubauten never were invited.

@Boadicea6 That was possibly one of the most ignorant and stupid comments I've ever read! :-D

Many popular bands sported racist symbols and lyrics, mostly to 'shock' audiences. It's not a big deal.

heh, not very "shocking" any more, eh?
