Journey is my all time favorite group. Arnel is unbelievable, I love him. But the truth is that Steve made Journey popular and not the other way around. Before Steve you could buy journey albums in TG&Y stores; not exactly big time sales market. They seem to be the luckiest band in the world as far as finding great... and I mean great...singers. Long live Journey!!!

What make this guy different? He's Humble and does not care to speak up about his life and that what made him unique. Walang ka-plastikan. I been in Philippines 3 years in a row and going back there again this sept-oct. Yes, I feel sorry for the people living in poverty and hates all the the politicians that are enriching themselves through corruption. Yun lang ang masasabi ko. Peace to everybody.

@PNOYPWR Poverty is everywhere.even in America , some ppl are still living in poverty, and you'll be surprised because it is not what you would expect , after seeing the glamour, glitz of Hollywood movies.

Arnel's rags to riches story is very inspiring and most ppl , of any race can relate to this struggle to rise above poverty.He 's been blessed with so much talent.. and putting all differences aside, we are so fortunate to hear Journey once again .

First of all Arnel did not and will not try to make us look bad. He was telling his story. I too was kinda offended when I first heard this, but then I realized this is not the only side of The Philippines that people know. Unfortunately that's his true story. My point is that AP should have used the chance he was given (the media), because of his superb voice, to promote the image of the Philippines. We are a good, talented, kind-hearted, hardworking people.

Do we ever wonder why the Philippines was NEVER on the Travel channel, not a good tourist destination? Because of wrong assumptions that our country is not safe, if only they were able to see how friendly the people of Bohol, Dumaguete, Camiguin are (to name a few).

Being a Filipino myself I am disappointed to hear AP's comments about poverty in the Philippines. Yes the whole world knows how poor we are but we don't need to broadcast it to the world.
