  • how do you knwo they are meteorites... i mean just because they contain metal? it could be iron or lead deposits or some shit? are you a geologist?

  • check area 51 :D

  • What metal detector do you have or recomend

  • @jordan10236 Check the laws first. I was almost arrested a few years back just for operating a metal detectorr on public BLM land.

This is not as cut and clear as these people say and the laws are rarely if ever mentioned. If you intend to metal detect and/ or collect any artifact you had better know the laws. My 400 dollar detector no0w can be used only on picked over beaches and public parks, everything else is off limits. In otherwords, its fucking worthless. Know the laws!

  • Do you need a special kind of detector too find meteorites or will any metal detector work well.

  • DAM!!!!!!!!!!!! 400-500 dollars.

  • Thanks for the video.

Can you find meteorites do need some special

detector or you can find them by using a normal detector?

  • I used to hear of the Glorieta Meteor when I lived out there.

Did you know that at the American Museum of Natural Science in New York City has a large chunk of the Glorieta Meteor on display?

Also, there is an entrance way of a residence in Glorieta that is built out of rocks and stones from the area. The ownder boult it himself. There is one fairly large rock in it that is very different from the rest. I think it may be part of the Glorieta Meteor.

  • Who pays you for the meteorites? Museums? Planetariums?

  • are thwese actually worth anything?

  • Talk about a dream job :)
