Less than 2 per cent of the Australian population. Yes there are some unemployed Aboriginal people out there on Centrelink benefits, but it's peanuts compared to Centrelink benefits going to the overall Australian population. I took time to check out so called Aboriginal Embassy.
I didn't see one full blooded Australian aborigine. All were mixed race.
The embassy is just an eyesore. Seems to be used as home away from home.
Seems to not serve any useful purpose other than gathering point for miscontents & drunks.
We wouldn't tolerate this set up back in the States.
These mixed race aboriginals would not be classified as First Nation Indian.
Most of their bloodline is well under 50% required to say American Indian.
