I too remember this version, with great affection. It was the first time I heard a 12" version really break down a song and rebuild it piece by piece so you could hear all the different parts and how they fitted together. I thought I'd never hear this again. Thankyou for doing a great public service and posting it. I think I might love you.

I bought this on 12" when it came out. Fantastic music that i still listen to on a fairly regular basis.

If Howard Jones was producing this kind of fresh and innovative music today, he would be head and shoulders above all of the mass produced 'crud' of the present. As for the 1980's, he was just one of many talented pioneers that have given the world some of the best music that really stands the test of time!

@whutzat That was such a horrible feeling. You'd hear the song slow right down, and you KNEW straight away, what was happening! You'd make a mad dash to the cassette player and pray to god it was salvagable. If you could wind it back with a pen, all was good. If it was crimped or broken it was sooooooooo devastating!!!!!
