  • STUPID SKIER STIP GOING SO DAMN SLOW lol!!! Boarders FTW!!!!

  • Thats the way to do it skier!! Drop the shoulders!!!haha

  • snowboarder caused it, but the skier could have avoided the second collision

  • i hate skier or boarder using the whole damn slope for their fucked up turns

  • damn skiers always getting in the way

  • Questi hanno dimenticato a casa il cervello.

  • I had this happen to me before, but by a snowboarder. I chased him down and took my poles and smacked him in the legs and skied into the trees waiting to hit him again, but he never came..

  • she was off balance which pulled her to the right and the boarder could have stopped once he'd spun around. Anyway, shit happens, people just have to use their eyes more and more consideration for others.

  • Its both of their fault first hit snowboarder second hit is TOTALLY the skier why the HELL would you turn back into the direction you were hit, and then turn SHARP into the person just so you can start to call him an asshole. SMH

  • I do not see in any way how the skier could have intentionally hit th boarder, no way in hell, its all the boarders fault

  • boarder could've (and should've) stopped after the first contact - downhill has the right of way dummy

  • Comment removed

  • who cares....ill kick both their asses...panzy

  • Rofl. The skier went straight back into him after the first collision XD

  • The rank ignorance or stupidity of some of these comments is amazing--and scary. When skiers or riders are on the same slope, the DOWNHILL person has the right of way. It HAS to be that way because no one has eyes in the back of their head. When 2 people are coming down the same slope, the person in back NEVER EVER has a legitimate excuse that the person in front "cut me off." This collision is TOTALLY the snowboarder's fault--because he came up on the skier from behind. Get a damn clue.

  • @onemangarageband I couldn't have said it better myself. I've had 15 years on a snowboard. 12 of skiing before that. It was the snowboarder's fault. He just cut to heelside from toeside RIGHT behind her. If he just checked his speed or continued on the toeside for a few feet more, it wouldn't have happened. Take his mancard.

  • @onemangarageband The only thing ignorant here is your comment, the skier clearly looks right at the snowboarder and intentionally collides with him after the initial contact.

Your comment about the downhill having the right of way is a crock of shit as well. Plenty of idiots hang out just past knuckles, jumps or sharp turns. People who do this are just as much at fault for being out of sight of everyone else until it is too late.

  • @shaggytwodope666 you see? your all over youtube with stupid ignorant shit, like i said you have enough problems i was looking for a snowboard video then i see your being a fuck to everyone.

  • @xXGEN3000KBMXx Well at least you're trying to sound like a proper person now, congrats on dropping the nigger speak. Now all you have to do is learn how to punctuate properly and you're all set!

Not sure why you're following me around though, I kinda felt bad for you, infact I was embarrassed for you. I actually think you suffer from some sort of retardation judging by the "insults" that you throw around. I'm sure your mommy tells you your special every night though.

  • @shaggytwodope666 the insults really? the fact that you could not apologize and you just had to make me forget about your nigger insult is sad so lets get back to that, are you racist? what do you feel about black people and do you hate them? because your obviously categorizing how black people dress if you say that i'm just trying to "dress like a nig" so whats your deal with my skin color?

  • @xXGEN3000KBMXx It's got nothing to do with your skin colour, but everything to do with how you act. Only an idiot who is trying to look gangster would make out their stance. I see that shit all the time, maxed stance, pants falling down, tshirt 10 times too big. Then they way you were typing, it was incoherent broken English at best. I can't stand people who come off as idiots. Then I looked at your shit videos and I knew you were a jackass.

  • @shaggytwodope666 No dude i willing to end this rigth now......i look at the wide stance and i think it looks kool so i will admit that........alot of people that i asked why there stance is so wide and there answer was that they feel that they are in the max controle like that so thats why i asked the guy if when your in the max stance like that if you can still carve and i dont wear baggy things t basically the only thing that youd think is gangster is my stance and the tyd bandana on my pants

  • @shaggytwodope666 like im sorry if your threatend by the way i type but i dont care how i type on the internet.....obviously im not a jackass and im fine at typing i just dont feel like there is any reason that you have to stay proper when you type on youtube or anywhere for that reason hence texting language.

  • @xXGEN3000KBMXx That's your choice, I find that the more I make sure that I try to be proper the easier it is to be when needed. It also means I don't look like an imbecile when conversing with others. Your writing style implies you have no fucking clue how to be proper which leads me to believe that you aren't very well educated. Your lame attempts at insults only add fuel to the fire.

If you don't mind coming off as being stupid then more power to you. Not my cup of tea though

  • @shaggytwodope666 well your opinion on my education really does not matter to me because i know for my self as a 14 year old that i am properly educated so its worthless to even making that assumption, i have my riding style not "gangster" just me, and you have your's, let's leave it at that DONE.

  • As member of National Ski Patrol (who snowboards, yes while on patrol), I can safely say that it was in fact the boarders'. Mainly because he was following too close to the skiier who was downhilk. It is obvious after the first collision the snowboarder did not attempt to alter his course away from the skiier and thus collided with the skiier. It is also clear that the skiier most likely didn't have the snowboarder in his/her peripheral vision and thus couldn't take evasive manouvers.

  • @Medi1Responder yea well as a certified level 3 instructor (no longer teaching), freestyle rider with steeze, and some one who rips..skiers fucking suck b/c they make those big ass turns. I mean the way they ski your always behind them, the snow gods are not pleased with them. trust me i know these things. i applaud that boarder..i just wish it was a yard sale

  • the snowboarder was at fault. he was practically tail gating her, why the fuck would you do that? what if she slowed down because she was out of her comfort zone or what if she fell down? he can't even control his board all that great, you can tell by him holding his arms out for balance. he actually hit her twice, first time he ran over the back of her skies. the second time they collided. that's why I always keep 15-20 feet in between me and the person in front of me unless it's a friend

  • thats why you should snowboard cause they have a blindspot

  • Skier was ahead of the boarder. Skier had the right of way. Simple as that...

  • skiers think that the mountain is all for they

  • Racing skiers are so fucking stupid

  • les surfeurs sont des dangers et abiment les pistes.....

  • dooshbags

  • In snowboarding u actually have to use alot more skill than that guy and yes downhill has right of way this guy is not prepared for the slopes!!!!

  • ha wow thats funny n i thought my friends yard sale was funny check it out its on my channel

  • Clearly the snowboarder's fault. He was uphill and the downhill person always has the right of way. Also, it's clear that the snowboarder was more experienced therefore he should have known better. To all the people saying "stupid boarders" or "stupid skiers"... get a life and just enjoy getting out there and having fun. Both types of people have their own flaws. Get over it.

  • the only thing worse than that is those fuckin snowboarders that sit down right below a huge roller

  • What do you call the driver in a car full of snowboarders?

    Answer: Officer

  • Another dumb ass snowboarder who is a menace to humanity. I hope the skier's boyfriend kicked his ass good.

  • @leocat99 fucking skiers!

  • thats funny

  • what does a snow boarder and a vacuum cleaner have in comon?

on a snow board the dirt bag also stands upright

  • @fjordking What does a Bloody Tampon and a skier have in common? They are red with some white and they are both stuck up bitches

  • Today I saw a skier ram right into a class that was going on. 5 kids were injured.

  • both fault

for what gave god them freakin eyes in their little fuckhead?

  • @ScraPp1CocO Oh, you can look backwards ? awesome!

  • @Fast4Music i dont need to look backwards to see that coming

  • @adamacin34 cuz last time i snowboarded a skier cam a smashed into me and said go learn to ski you fucking noob

  • Fucking skiers !!!!! I hate skiers

  • @guymauve100 WHY? I think that comment was uncalled for.

  • man FUCK snowboarders like that, and that's most of them

  • see how badass the snowboarder looks the whole time? that's the important thing

  • i dont like snow boarding but that n00b skiier deserved it

  • Downhill = right of way

its not hard, the border shouldn't of been so close either, after the first knock he should have stopped or changed his direction.

  • person downhill has right of way, which in this case was the skier so its the snowboarders fault

  • you can clearly see that the snowboarder is a fucking idiot for hitting him once and then turning toward him again to hit him a second time lol

  • As far as Im concerned, it's both their faults. They should have figured out after an extremely close encounter to change their paths. But theyre dumbasses.

  • im a boarder and its the boarders fault he sucks balls

  • It was both there faults, The Snowboarder should'nt have been so close during the first hit and they both should have stopped for a second to make sure no one was hurt.

  • On review, I think the boarder may have been trying to spray the skier. Hard to tell for sure or if they just were not in control.

  • Downhill has right away. Its not complicated. Plenty of skiers and boarders with attitudes and childish opinions based on a bias to there sport. Seen em both do stupid stuff.

  • once again ... snow boarders are to blame

  • why do people like to get so close to each other? i keep my distance in case the other person falls im not slicing their head with my board but including if you take a break on the side people still get as close as possible for some reason.

Is there not enough room on the mountain for the both of you that you see the guy but still go into their line. me and my friend he ski i sb and we just make sure we dont crash into each other

  • Eh, Id say the initial scrape was the SBs fault, but the actual hit was both of them

  • Well snowboarders make bumps as well as skiers. You should see Park City's Kings Crown.

  • It looks like the snowboarder slid a bit farther then they expected, and slightly bumped into the sker, who then turned around ad tred to stop and see what happened, and when the turned around didnt have enough time to move.

  • Tottally the snowboarders fault. And I am a boarder. #1. Boarder is uphill with full view. #2 Board looks competent and should have given skier more space, should have come to stop after initial contact with the heel side slide that she used to gain control. I alway say this. Why dont uphill siers and snowboards just stay clear if they look to pass! The skier did nothing intentional. Shes just trying to get out of the way!

  • besides why should he make a toeside turn to clip the skier's ski in the first place.

  • obviously the skier was not that experienced( from her scream). The better knowing snowboarder should steer away from her with a heelside turn instead of a toeside. When a child hits you its still your fault.

  • skiers suck only the good ones are cool. but snowboarding is amazing over all

  • sking sucks snowboarding rocks

  • Skiing beats snowboarding any day!

  • lol

  • Stupid skiers

  • fking skier got in his way

  • fuck you..snowboards suck compared to freesking.

  • @kylertuck haha maybe i dont now but i just dont like skis never said i dont like skiers

  • Comment removed

  • no...

  • The ONLY thing that matters is that the skier is downhill. Snowboarders fault.

What if they person all of the sudden stopped because they needed to (loose boot, binding, hurt...etc) and the snowboarder plowed right into them? Would it be the skiers fault for stopping? No.

Same goes for a snowboarder, they don't expect me to hiding in there bind spot and follow them so close.

  • Comment removed

  • @poucet The skier was in control until the snowboarder clipped her, then finished the job. If you think the snowboarder is that good, why did he even hit her? Lesson is, keep your distance...anyone can stop or turn at anytime and if you hit them when you're on the uphill it's 100% your fault.

  • putos surferos de los cojones ¬¬

  • boarders fault, skier had right of way, boarder came from higher ground and was following way too close, he should have stayed away from the skier, there was plenty of open room on the run

  • boarder didnt even know how to stop

  • He comes in from above

At 0:04 it's obvious that he has the option to continue his traverse to rider's right and avoid the skier

but he's determined to keep repeating the pattern of his turns, despite the fact that he knows that somewhere downhill there's a skier in his blind spot with whom he's already collided!

At the second contact, it's clear that he scoops her legs from under her by running his board across her skis in front of the toe bindings

    What an arsehole

  • Boarders Fault,... its clear... but the skieer could have look up.. but: BOARDERS FAULT

  • snowboarder must relie on momentum we don't have skis or sticks to push our self faster.

So following a skier doing that zigzag from 1 edge to the other you have to time it to get past them.

Cause you cant just break and wait to get bye when you have no way to suddenly accelerate and does not help when skier don't even look back and deside to change direction with out checking you would drive a car like that on the highway moveing in to another lane with out checking your mirrors behind you.

  • fucking skiers

broke my foot runing into me

they take up the whole trails and cut u off

  • Boarders fault. Skier was in front. Right of way. Boarder ran down skier. I rest my case

  • i ski and i really think it was the skiers fault, because she wasn't watching where she was going so she cut him of without realizing it. Also she could have stopped.

  • Hands down BOARDERS FAULT.

  • stupid boarders

  • it seems very clear.the SB is behind the skier.why everyone is complaining for the "curves" the skiers do?thats the way ski is...and the rules of the mountain are for both styles(sb,ski)

  • @Reignman007 ur a fag i freestyle ski and i almost never ski like that. its only the people who r still learning to ski that do that

  • @iitaylor10 I believe you are around 11.And i am not refering to your age

  • @Reignman007 The skier has definately no reflex in the second turn...

  • skiiers have this habit of carving ever so slowly and they take up the whole mountain. and they complain about boarders all the time. i hate skiiers, theyre never courteous on the mountain...

  • @edog214 boarders have a way of making larger turns also. Depends on the boarder. You probably not capable of those larger turns. The rider in front has the right of way. RULES OF THE MOUNTAIN!!! You run over someone, its your fault.

  • You have never heard of chute skiiers.

  • I think its the skiers fault. At the very beginning she cut him off which is why he clipped the back of her skis.

  • Typical skier, didn't do a good enough job first time so went back to finish it off.

  • Petty stupid from the s boarder. Took the skier off balance which made the skier turn and hit the boarder the 2nd time. SB should have brake for lower traffic.

  • I hate riding behind skiers, with their huge ass S turns i always get stuck behind them. But this was the boarders fault

  • I love how they recover and then go right back to killing eachother. :3

  • that had to hurt so bad for the skiier. the tip of the snowboard clipped the skiiers ankle and nothing happened to the snowboarder...im a snowboarder...and im ashamed lol

  • even if it did hit her ankles, nothing would happen. ski boots are well protected. and looking at it, it looked like the skiers fault.

  • first collision was the snowboarders fault he turned right into her

  • What the heck was the snow border doing? Was he trying to show off?

  • Snowboarder was responsible for the collision

  • Skier was ahead and had right of way in both collisions.

  • Low skills :|

Snowboarder can turn and skier too

  • God Job @snowboarder!

  • skier looks at him turning at 0:17 and then turns right into him

  • dumbass snowboarder, skier had the right away.

  • Using snowboarders as an excuse for your own stupidity is lame.

  • Funny one!

  • come on, the skier isn't intentionally take out the boarder, you can see they were not in control when the boarder clipped the skiers tail, the skier then turns their head to their right to see what is going on behind them and slows down by skidding in that direction, thus turning in the process. The boarder caused the accident but the skiers ability was also a factor which could of stopped this accident.

  • Riiiight I'll belive that when me shit turns purple and smells like rain-bow shur-bert!!

  • Does it sound like that when I say it?

  • Usual story - gonzo out-of-control boarder takes out skier

When will boarders learn the basic code? The downhill rider/skier has priority! Just because boarders have less control on the slope, doesn't mean skiers have to get out of their way (although as a skier, i ALWAYS get out of the way of boarders, just like on the road I always yield to incompetent drivers)

  • don't see any "gonzo out-of-control boarders" here buddy, especially considering he was able to spin completely around and level out after the first clip. and yes, the downhill rider has priority, but in this instance, they both were in the same plane. it's not like the boarder crept up on the skier. and look at the VERY beginning, you can see the skier cut the boarder off first, so the boarder turns to avoid them. but the skier also turns back into the path of boarder and gets clipped.

  • Nevertheless the downhill rider/skier has priority!! Always keep that in mind! The boarder should have slowed down a bit and the skier would have gone right before him and not into him!

  • @camouflet

your a bigot, go back to the 60's where that kind of close minded thinking was ok. Just enjoy the mountain. It doesnt matter what your on. You viewed this with complete prejudiced. Read what the poster said as well. Its best to yield to incompetent thinkers.

  • @Iniquite1 I yield to you, little snowboarding person who cannot punctuate properly, or spell properly, and who believes the 60s were about close-minded thinking (ROFLMAO). Would that, on the slopes, we could go back to the 60s - there would be not a snowboarding "you have to allow for my blindside" adolescent to be seen

  • @camouflet HAHAHA, yea thats exactly what I said. That's all the 60's where about. I would much rather make a couple grammar errors then be a bigot. But you can't even decide what to think. First you say "gonzo out-of-control boarder" then on a second post "At 0:04 it's obvious that he has the option to continue his traverse to rider's right and avoid the skier", Stating that he clearly had control. Make up your mind.

  • Comment removed

  • @camouflet If you hate snowboarders that much then stay off the mountain. Here's a random fact for you: we had two different competitions at the mountain I work for. One a snowboard and the other a ski. The snowboard comp brought about 3000 people to the event while the ski event brought about 50. Sorry Bub, the 60's are over. Oh, and please respond to this. Your ignorance is amusing.

  • @Iniquite1 Please identify "the mountain that you work for". Just so I can check your facts about the alleged difference in the numbers of people signing up for the two events. And while we are conversing, who TF is "Bub"? Did you feature as an extra in Deliverance?

  • @camouflet yeah, how about I give you my home adress too. If you want to actually check on the fact that snowboarding is growing faster then skiing and more marketable then I suggest you start with a simple google search first. That is assuming you actually want to know. I'm guessing since you dodged all my comments that where negitive to your opinion that you would rather stay in the closet. I won't say where I work simply to keep you and your bad attitude off my mountain.

  • @Iniquite1 I don't want your home address - just identify yourself enough to establish your credibility. Do you teach adaptive at Lake Tahoe? Are you a ski patroller at Whistler?

I'm a ski instructor from North-West England who has skied in Norway, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Canada and Bulgaria.

At least tell us what continent this mountain you work for is on

  • @camouflet The last thing I need to do is justify myself to you. It seems as though your one of the skiers that feels like your entitled to something or even that your better then everyone else just because you ski. There's a word for people with that mentality: asshole. Since you continually try to change the subject and make it all about you I'm going to quit this, what ever it is. Your boring. Stay in england, mate.

  • @Iniquite1 I'm trying to make it all about you! That's why I'm asking you questions. Give us some answers! Where do you work? Are you an instructor? What qualifies you to make a judgement about behaviour on the slopes?

I've told you enough about me for you to judge that I'm well-qualified to comment on this video.

Convince me that you're equally well-qualified to comment (even though your "english" is pretty poor)

  • @camouflet @ this whole argument (mainly @Iniquite1 I hardly see how the progressing and icnreasing popularity of snowboarding or the fact that you claim more people showed up to a local event, changes the rules of the mountain. Fact is fact. Downhill has priority.

  • @sean7690

A friend of mine a 50 something woman was injured recently in an accident not dissimilar to this where a snowboarder hit her from behind at speed, leading to a slipped disk resulting in her no longer being able to ski, and lots of money in medical expenses. And its the people like you who endorse that kind of reckless *who gives a shit about the rules* snowboarding.

It doesnt matter if you think the rules should be different. They Arent. Deal with it.

  • @sean7690 In Canada Medical Care is free =]

  • @bwjn2008 no, is not

  • @sean7690 you are absolutely right. Somehow I lost sight of this point. Downhill rider/skier has right of way.Uphill skier/rider has responsibility to avoid. Thanks for geting me back to the basics of this thread, which are....BOARDER'S FAULT

  • XD i had a snowboarding collision today. Some guy in my snowboading class fell and i trided to stop but my classmate ended up lfying into the air about 3 feet and i flew into the air 2 feet and he landed on top of me -_-

  • just because 1 skier is stupid doesn't mean all skiers are stupid. I can look up a bunch of videos of clueless boarders doing dumb things. It's clueless PEOPLE that do stupid things. Stop squabbling.

  • Boarder tries to stop, skiier keeps turning WTF?

    Common Sense pls

  • i had to watch this a few times to really figure... in slo-mo it looks like the skier is an angry bastard on the second hit. but the boarder did hit him from behind first, it's all his fault - the 2nd hit was just ripple effect of the chaos.

however at first i thought the skier was traversing in his line too much... but no the boarder should have seen him coming. im a boarder and he was riding well and strong - BUT not looking where he was turning into -not looking-

    Good video for debate!

  • In all honesty,

I was just being one sided

  • ha, i love the figthing with between skiers and boards.. cleary it was just an accident.. but the person in front does has the right away...

  • Watch this:

    watch?v=AId9S-RVJPw

at 1m 31 seconds in the same thing nearly happens to me, being the equivalent of the boarder in this video, rather than skiing into the ESF instructor I take the correct course of action and turn to avoid him, in this video the boarder just ploughs into the skier.

  • Taken from the "Carnet De Capacities En Ski Alpin" Ecole du ski Francais:

"Le depassement peut s'effectuer par amont ou par aval, par la droite ou par la gauche, mais toujours de maniere assez large pour prevenir les evolutions du skieur depasse."

"Le skieur amont, dont la position dominante permet le choix d'une trajectoire, doit prevoir une direction, qui assure, la securite du skieur aval"

    In short: Snowboarders fault...

  • The rule is, the person furthest down the slope has priority, the boarder hit the skier from behind.

In this case it as actually the boarders fault, he came up behind the skier, very close and then continued anyway, at the point of impact the skier is further down the slope, and therefore the boarder should have given way.

  • penalti

  • i am a skier, and that faggot kid does not deserve to life as a skier. go take up a job, like collecting shit.

  • fucking skier

  • defo boarders fault (im a boarder!) but f*ck you skiers make are life hard by going down in dickhead groups going side to side to side taking up the entire piste!! LEARN TO GO STRAIGHT! (= plenty of piste for everyone i know i guess

  • first one definitely the boarder, but the second one, she looks right at him, and turns right into him, retarded...

  • ya dude i board and skiers take up the whole fuckin hill and cut everybody off cuz they are gay and nvr go straite

  • lol i do

  • yes lol, im a skier and i dont take whole piste, that suks i just luv to go fast straight down, funner

  • why does there have to be a fight between skiing and snowboarding they are both awesome sports

  • Theirs hardly a fight people just say that their is a rivalry cause they think it's more fun. I highly doubt that you will find a person on the mountain that refuses to be friends with someone because they are of opposing sports

  • Thank god someone with intelligence, I board and respect skiers just as much as anybody else. To everyone else. What does it matter if two people got in an accident and were of two different sports, if it was the boarders fault, it doesnt make ALL boarders douchenozzles and if it was the skier it doesnt make all of them douchenozzles. its an accident for cryin out loud, so its not stupid skier or stupid boarder. It's stupid person.

  • ive done this to someone but much harder i felt so sorry for her

  • Obviously this was the boarders fault! Downhill person always has the right of way, and the skier had made the turn before the boarder turned into her a second time.

I'm guessing alot of the comments came from people who didnt actually watch the video.

  • it was both there faults to be honest

  • completely the skier's fault. skylinelax35 is wrong, the snowboarder had the right of way -- it was obvious he was going down a set course, and the skier went across the run.

  • they ht each other then the skier was being gay and decided to carve back towards the snowboarder and hit him. why would you turn back towards the snowboarder?!

  • As a skier I obviously 'hate' snowboarders, I mean who doesnt! :D However from this video the lame skier with ultra tight salopettes was in the wrong. Why in gods name did they not change their route or even stop to let the snowboarder pass.

  • im with you, but ya snowboarders i do not like and the skier had the right of way (down hill person alwasys has the right away)

  • ok guys this is how it goes and this is how it is.....snowboarders rock and DOWN WITH SKIERS!! dont forget to spray then with all the snow u can!!

  • It was the boarders fault, person up front always has the right of way....but skiing still sucks.

  • snowboarding use to be the odd sport but look how far it came. its going to just get bigger and bigger. fuck skies

  • snowboarding is for cunt scabs that dont have a life or there just to pussy to ride skis cause i think snowbording is going to be the odd sport out in ten year cause everyones knees are going to be blow out so fuck u snowboards and it was the guys fault in the video

  • learn to do both, i did. and how the fuck does " too pussy to ride skis" make sense. you fall more often on a board than you do on skis.

  • in ten years lets see wuts more popular, the only skiers i see anymore are like really old people everyone else snowboards.

  • fuck skiers man

  • okay i will admit the snowboarder was at fault

but all of you guys that commented this before me need to just relax and stop judging all snowboarders or skiers by the few you have already met

i know some people can be huge jerks but you all need to stop judging and saying that all snowboarders or all skiers are stupid

    it just pisses me off

  • Wow you are so gay. The snowboarder clearly cut back over the skiis. That's why they are considered douchebags.

  • wow open your eyes nigger. To anyone with an I.Q. over 50 will tell you that the skier clearly cuts over much harder than the snowboarder does. Thus in conclusion for all you nitwits out there, the skier was the cuntscab that caused that second collision. Thank you for your time, and if you need anymore obvious insight to things, perhaps the sun comes up in the morning, you know who to ask. O ya, skiiing is for hairless apes, who haven't gotten with the times yet. FUCK YOU
