  • @AbsoluteKpop

Vi ste jako ljubazni. Hvala :-)

  • Bravo!

  • @JJanyJay

    Hvala Vam na pomoći :-)

Thank you for your encouraging. words. I really appreciate them. Hvala lijepa na komplimentu :-)

  • Hello! Great videos! How many languages do you know in all? Which ones? And about how long does it take you to be close to fluency? I am 15 and speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. Am currently learning Mandarin and French. Also, want to learn Russian and Hindi. By the way, where can I find the books you talk about that teaches grammar? It's a yellow one but I didn't understand what you said. :)

  • @GoldenDragon1700

I tried to answer your question in a private message to you. Thank you very much for leaving a comment on my site.

  • Croatian is pretty similar to Czech. I understood almost everything what you said. Btw, I am from Czech republic.

  • @makacenko159 OF COURSE WHEN CROATS OWNED LAND AND WE WERE NUMBER 1 UNTIL 10 CENTURY AND YOU CAME.....TRY GOOGLE BIJELA HRVATSKA OR WHITE CROATIA GREETINGS MAN COME FOR HOLIDAYS :-))))

  • @TheLEOPARD8888 thank you for your response, I haven't heard about bijela Hrvatska yet. It is very interesting. I'm looking forward to reading about it.

  • @makacenko159 MARRY CRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU /SRETAN I ČESTIT BOŽIĆ SVIMA !!!

  • @makacenko159

I wish I knew some Czech as well. Actually, my grandmother originally was from the former Czechoslovakia and she spoke Czech better than German but unfortunately she never taught as the language.

Mal sehen, was ich in meinem Zeitplan unterbringe ;-)

  • @sprachbegeistert super govoris samo tako nastavi.......ur speak great just keep going

  • @theana0077

Thank you very much for your nice comment. I really appreciate it :-) Puno hvala na komplimentu.

  • Je sam amerikanac, ali malo rezumijem Hrvatski. Ne tako dobro. :P Hvala za video.

  • man you speak croatian really awsome and all you need is a bit more practice in conversation with other people :)

  • @p3rica

Thanks a lot for your nice comment and your encouragement. I really appreciate it. Puno hvala :-)

  • @Moria90

Hvala lijepa za vašu pomoć. Vi ste vrlo ljubazni.

  • dobar si...y a good in croatian

  • @sidarta1982

Hvala lijepa :-) Thanks a lot for your nice words. I really appreciate your encouraging comment.

  • @AnAmericanlinguist

Sorry for responding so late, I must have overlooked your comment. I decided to study Croatian mainly because of my Croatian friends here in Austria. As for my "secret" or "hidden" language, well, I know some Portuguese, but I'm not really good at speaking it. I understand quite a bit when I read it and I'll try to practise speaking it more often in future but it's still really very basic.

  • Pričaš tečnije od mnogih Hrvata. Ozbiljno. Svaka čast!

  • @CroTroll

    Hvala lijepa na komplimentu :-)

  • Oh my gosh I didn't know Croatian had so much in common with Russian

  • @0409toria

Yes, it has quite a lot in common with Russian which makes it both a bit difficult (because you start confusing things) and easier (because you get a lot of similarities) if you decide to study both languages.

  • @0409toria south slavic languages. They have a lot of simmilaritys.Sorry for my spelling.

  • Hvala vam na vašim riječima. Vi ste jako ljubazni.

  • Govorim MALO hrvatski?! Pa vi ste spremni poducavati druge..vase znanje hrvatskog jezika zaista impresionira.

  • Iznenađena sam! Jako dobrar izgovor i izvrsna gramatika :) Svaka čast!

  • @MissAthanasiaD

Puno hvala. Vi ste jako ljubazni.

  • I'm not a native but have been studying Serbian for 3 years. Your Croatian sounds good, keep up the good work! I noticed 2 basic mistakes that you could work on: pay more attention to pronouncing the z's: sometimes they sound like s. And because you sometimes pronounce them right, it's obvious that you can. The second thing is avoiding the "ja" when it's not emphasized: try using "kupio sam" instead of "ja sam kupio" (for example).

  • @esquerrana

Thank you VERY MUCH for this constructive input. I'll try to keep your advice in mind.

  • @Quitte1976

    Hvala za kompliment ;-)

  • Can you please make a video about your language learning history? I mean, when you started, what motivated you and so on. I would appreciate the motivation. Thanks in advance.

  • @5Language

Thanks for your suggestion. I noticed that you have already watched the video I made in response to your request and I am glad that you liked it ;-)

  • Even though I haven´t studied Croatian I could understand some sentences and words! I think this has to do with Polish, but anyway great video! I cannot wait to hear you speak Dutch !

About Croatian, like most of the other Slavic languages it has a very nice sound to it, but my favorite slavic language is still Russian!

Keep up the great work and I hope to talk with you again soon.

  • @Bartisation

Dear Bart, thanks for your nice words. Reading your encouraging comments is always a pleasure. As for my Dutch, I really need to get started soon. You know that I absolutely love the way your language sounds ;-)

  • hehe, I don´t need to learn Croatian and I understood more than 50 % of what you´ve said. It is so similar to my mother language - Slovak :-)))

  • @jankablanka

That's the great thing about Slavic languages - they are quite similar to each other. I understand a fair amount of written Slovak and Czech but very little when they speak it ;-)

  • wow you are amazing. how many languages do you usually learn at one time? it is really hard for me to learn more than one at a time because i think that one language will detract from another or that i would dissipate my energy..trying to juggle languages. for example i want to learn korean and french; however ive never learned two languages at the same time, and also i dont want to detract from my german as i spend so much time with it and a dialect of german. do you have any advice? thank you!

  • @SchwarzerMannn

Currently, I am trying to study three languages at a time (Arabic, Hebrew and some Brazilian Portuguese). I don't pressure myself though - I have time and won't be functional in any of them in the foreseeable future I guess (with the exception of Brazilian maybe). Of course, I could try and focus on one language for 3 months or so and then add another one. But I guess I'm just too impatient for that ;-)

  • @SchwarzerMannn

Part 2: Besides, it is fun studying several languages at a time. Should I find that I don't make any progress, I'll just concentrate on one or two. Whatever seems to be working will be fine. I'm not sticking to any specific rules in this regard.

  • Very, very nice. You made a minimal amount of mistakes (cases, mixing up Croatian with Russian), but you've gone very far by now. Keep it up!

  • @SaBracaSam

Thanks a lot for your nice comments. So far, I've only noticed that I should have said "provesti vremena" instead of "provesti vrijeme" (I think, at least ;-). Can you please tell me the other mistakes? You could send me a PM, then you won't be limited by the line number in the comments section ;-) Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

  • Sounds very cool! How long have you been learning Croatian?

  • @TheChaxiu

Thanks for your nice comment. Well, I started studying it a few years ago, but just with Russian I sort of neglected it (but not as badly as my Russian). I started reviving it at the same time as my Russian, that is at the beginning of this year but I have been dabbling in Croatian for about 3 years or so. I definitely would like to get more speaking practice though. You can easily achieve my level in a year or even less if you study consistently.
