Crisis on Infinte earths - When OMD was originally planned it was suposed to be a fall on reboot much like superman after the 1st crisis but Brian Bendis said that such a thing would make ultimate spidey obsolete and they didnt wanna alienate him then it was suposed to keep peter the same age but bring all the charachters back to where they started which also means that Gwen Stacy was going to be brought back but they decided not to (kinda creepy cuz in OMD u can tell shes suposed to show up)
3b cont - now jms has come out an appologized for the gwen stacy debacle (ive heard the manos chat and yes they where suposed to be peters children but joe q though it would make peter look way to old but he DID NOT TELL JMS TO HAVE GWEN GET NAILED BY THE GREEN GOBLIN jms has even said that he wanted one more day to retcon that out and takes full responsibillity for it) and he had some good moments on ASM but when it was bad it was BAD! i mean train wrecks are nicer to look at CONT>>>
No Joe Q did make him have Gwen sleep with Green Goblin. AND one more day (which he was forced to do) he intended to retcon all the way back and have Peter with Gwen Stacey again. Which atleast would have said "Hey continuted changed" instead of "Oh yeah it's all the same...........................oh that stuff...............no it's all the same" which is what Joe Q did.

Now hold on. Gwen was Joe Q's choice He FORCED JMS to do that. JMS is great when he can plan the whole story out but when editorial (Joe Q) and crossovers (which is why he left Thor) fuck with his stuff it gets messed up. But it's still well written and he deals with it alot better then most other writers do.

Ok here's my theroy. Joe Q was born in 1962, and read comics in the 70's. I think he wants to relive the Spider-man stories of his childhood. Okay, do a new book. Don't just wipeout the continuity and do it in the main book. He needs to get fired.
Ya know what would fix this (in my little mind) Thor see's whats going on, whomps on Mephisto and does an Oscar Rodgers and FIXES IT! Puts MJ and Pete Back Together and then takes Aunt May to be with Uncle Ben. That'd be good stuff.
okay. Personally, I'd love for Black Cat and Spidey to get together, that'd be just wonderful: but, according to the 'Birth of Venom' compilation, it can't happen for one very logical reason. To love someone, you need to love them for what they are and what they're not. Black Cat is in love with Spiderman, but not Peter Parker; and to Peter, Spiderman is just a night gig, it's not his life. She finds him actually pitiful without his mask, which is not Peter's perception.
The Spiderman/blackcat series I adress in this video takes place much later and has Black Cat come back and is more mature and relises she loves Pete for Pete.
Mephisto does heinous things because he's a satanic depraved vilest abject infernal awful demon that enjoys bedeviling people like the Devil. Even if he isn't the Devil in the Marvel Universe he's just as Satanic as Satan.
Did Joe Q have awful experiences with marriages? It's one colossal abject decision to have Spider Man under his own free will summon Mephisto, and make a deal with him.
One more day is the worst Spider-man saga ever. Since the clone saga in the 90's, it's not the fact that Peter and Mary Jane are no longer married it's the fact that they changed everything about Spider-man. The Spider-man i know wouldn't make a deal with the devil it's out of character for him.

I have not read a Spider-Man issue since OMD and will not, until this is fixed. I've been reading him in New Avengers and the character has some funny one liners but is still ruined for me.
ok why save aunt may from dieng when she is like 86 years old? you know what would be cruil? if they did some ghost rider stuff and made aunt may die of a heart attack or old age.
I agree that this story sucks but didn't Mephisto make his counter move by actually ending the marrige cos me got pleasure out of that? that was the whole point anyway. to end the marriage (which is completely stupid but anyway).
I know that Straczynski wants to remove Parkers marriage by some time annomallies, caused by Peter's travel into the past in second part of OMD, but Quesada orders him to do it his way. Well, I tknik they could do it better way. Like: Strange/Loki goes with Spider-Man to hell, fight Mephisto and frees Aunt May soul. Pissed off Mephisto says "You stells woman from me, I steall woman from you", and make all those OMD changes.

Joe Michael Straczynski, man who was writing Babylon 5, and Spider-Man. He's last story was ONM, but he just get straight instructions what he has to write and was so ashamed, that wanted to remove his name from the covers. Now he writes Thor, wich gets multi-nominations to Eisner Award.
I'd like to hear your views on Back in Black, too. I was personally pretty disappointed. I thought Spiderman was going to be mega-pissed off and act hardcore due to Cap's death and the attacks on his family, but only his suit seemed to change.
Back in Black took place right around the release of the third movie (in which Spiderman wears the venom suit, of course) and I sometimes wonder if it was just a marketing ploy.

5. BND - BND RULEZ!!!! yes ill fully admit OMD SUCKD but the stories that have come out since then have been great it was a lil shaky in the begining but since new ways to die its kicked ass an been one of the best books PERIOD! and its almost weekly OMD is just like the 1st crisis they both sucked but the stories after it have been very good (but again OMD is creepy cuz u can tell theres a page missin where gwen is suposed to walk in and it dsnt happen like nightwing in 2nd crisis)

4. Crisis on Infinte earths - When OMD was originally planned it was suposed to be a fall on reboot much like superman after the 1st crisis but Brian Bendis said that such a thing would make ultimate spidey obsolete and they didnt wanna alienate him then it was suposed to keep peter the same age but bring all the charachters back to where they started which also means that Gwen Stacy was going to be brought back but they decided not to (kinda creepy cuz in OMD u can tell shes suposed to show up)

3b cont - now jms has come out an appologized for the gwen stacy debacle (ive heard the manos chat and yes they where suposed to be peters children but joe q though it would make peter look way to old but he DID NOT TELL JMS TO HAVE GWEN GET NAILED BY THE GREEN GOBLIN jms has even said that he wanted one more day to retcon that out and takes full responsibillity for it) and he had some good moments on ASM but when it was bad it was BAD! i mean train wrecks are nicer to look at CONT>>>

No Joe Q did make him have Gwen sleep with Green Goblin. AND one more day (which he was forced to do) he intended to retcon all the way back and have Peter with Gwen Stacey again. Which atleast would have said "Hey continuted changed" instead of "Oh yeah it's all the same...........................oh that stuff...............no it's all the same" which is what Joe Q did.

Now hold on. Gwen was Joe Q's choice He FORCED JMS to do that. JMS is great when he can plan the whole story out but when editorial (Joe Q) and crossovers (which is why he left Thor) fuck with his stuff it gets messed up. But it's still well written and he deals with it alot better then most other writers do.

2. Ultimate Marvel - this is the one u will prob least care about...Ultimate spider-man was destroying all other spider-man books not just in sales but stories, characters, and fan appeal if Amazing Spider-man had continued the way it was its no secret that the book would have been canceld the stories where terrible the sales where even worse and at the time every1 was saying the same thing i wish amazing was as good as ultimate or if im trying to give sum1 a book on who spidey is its ultimate>

Continuity - ive heard u say in one vid that the ultimate u can have young peter and normal marvel can have the peter that was grown up and was a teacher but thats the thing he was a teacher depending on what book and on what month u read said book in.... in freindly neighborhood spider-man he was a teacher in Amazing Spider-Man he worked for tony stark and in Spectacular Spider-Man he was a photographer who always needed money dispite being married to MARY JANE! AND IT TOOK PLACE AT ONCE >>

Ok here's my theroy. Joe Q was born in 1962, and read comics in the 70's. I think he wants to relive the Spider-man stories of his childhood. Okay, do a new book. Don't just wipeout the continuity and do it in the main book. He needs to get fired.

okay. Personally, I'd love for Black Cat and Spidey to get together, that'd be just wonderful: but, according to the 'Birth of Venom' compilation, it can't happen for one very logical reason. To love someone, you need to love them for what they are and what they're not. Black Cat is in love with Spiderman, but not Peter Parker; and to Peter, Spiderman is just a night gig, it's not his life. She finds him actually pitiful without his mask, which is not Peter's perception.

Mephisto does heinous things because he's a satanic depraved vilest abject infernal awful demon that enjoys bedeviling people like the Devil. Even if he isn't the Devil in the Marvel Universe he's just as Satanic as Satan.
Did Joe Q have awful experiences with marriages? It's one colossal abject decision to have Spider Man under his own free will summon Mephisto, and make a deal with him.

One more day is the worst Spider-man saga ever. Since the clone saga in the 90's, it's not the fact that Peter and Mary Jane are no longer married it's the fact that they changed everything about Spider-man. The Spider-man i know wouldn't make a deal with the devil it's out of character for him.

I know that Straczynski wants to remove Parkers marriage by some time annomallies, caused by Peter's travel into the past in second part of OMD, but Quesada orders him to do it his way. Well, I tknik they could do it better way. Like: Strange/Loki goes with Spider-Man to hell, fight Mephisto and frees Aunt May soul. Pissed off Mephisto says "You stells woman from me, I steall woman from you", and make all those OMD changes.

Joe Michael Straczynski, man who was writing Babylon 5, and Spider-Man. He's last story was ONM, but he just get straight instructions what he has to write and was so ashamed, that wanted to remove his name from the covers. Now he writes Thor, wich gets multi-nominations to Eisner Award.

I'd like to hear your views on Back in Black, too. I was personally pretty disappointed. I thought Spiderman was going to be mega-pissed off and act hardcore due to Cap's death and the attacks on his family, but only his suit seemed to change.
Back in Black took place right around the release of the third movie (in which Spiderman wears the venom suit, of course) and I sometimes wonder if it was just a marketing ploy.

nope it was not a publucity stunt it just happened at the same time beacause of the end of the civil war arc and the begining of a dark chapter in peters life after what happened 2 may in the wake of the war

They claimed that one reason for the retcon was that Spider-Man isn't as relatable as a married man. So essentially, Marvel believes that if you read their publications, you're a loser who'll never get laid.
