@Deboogs okay well you need to time the shell and right when you see it stop the circle, it will start to drop and that's the time you release the mini-turbo. right when you release the R button, you need to push it again. have fun and good luck!

By turning in the direction of your powerslide and jumping you are exiting the circular blast radius of the shell quicker, meaning your timing can be less precise and there is a higher degree of success than if you just continue in a straight line.

I dodged a shell on WiFi on Luigi Circuit GCN without this technique. I had a red shell and blue shell coming at me, and I hit an item box right before the blue shell circled around my kart. The red shell hit me WHILE the blue shell was circling, and I managed a successful WiFi dodge.

Indeed, it is possible to dodge a blue shell on WiFi. It'll need a bit more practising though, since your max speed in 100CC is lower. I found out for myself that you have to perform the speed boost (= releasing the R-button) a bit LATER than in 150CC-class

Nope, it's not. WiFi uses 100cc engine class, and I have dodged shells both in VS. 100cc and on WiFi. It is, however, much more difficult to perform in WiFi since your window of opportunity is smaller, so I can't successfully pull it off in WiFi nearly as much as I can in 150cc, and usually the shell hits me. But it definitely IS possible, I've done five or six times.

Well, i have one more question. Whenever i try to do it, i'm never at a turn or a spot to powerslide. How do you make it so it comes at a turn, if you can do it. Is it just bad luck?

Yeah, thats just crappy luck, sorry. Practice on figure 8 circuit, even on the straight parts of the track, it's still wide enough to allow for a powerslide.

Dry Bomber and Egg1 are both the easiest carts to dodge with. The reason I only used one cart was just because I happened to be filming with the Dry Bomber, but both of them are pretty much the same when it comes to dodging blue shells.

I don't ever use karts with high drift stat (they go all over the place whenever you try to snake), so I don't know how easy it is to do with karts other than egg1 and dry bomber. However, it CAN be done with any kart (I tried once with bowser's tyrant), it's just much harder with some karts.

Well yeah, i guess you can dodge shells without powersliding if you use a AR/codebreaker... you're driving faster than a normal kart is able to go. I can easily dodge shells in double dash with a speed cheat too.

Umm no, sorry... that won't work. You'll still get caught in the shell's explosion. You need to be powersliding with red sparks when you jump, as the boost you get is what takes you out of the blast radius.

If you simply jump when the shell is going down you have no speed bonus and the shell will score a direct hit on your kart.

What I did was put a textbook on the edge of a desk, and then put the digital camera on the edge of the book that was hanging off the table, facing down. That way, I could hold my ds under the camera with two hands while recording.

The BSD doesn't work on wifi, because you need at least 100cc. I've played with a lot of very good players and I haven't seen anybody to do BSD

I used to do BSD all the time when I played wi-fi. There are lots of other players who can do it.  But on wi-fi o it only works on certain driving surfaces because the speed is 100cc s. Frappe Snowland is the easiest to BSD on wi-fi.
