Remembering when my boys went through a phase of not wanting to share certain toys. To force them to share, created power struggles. So I decided to honor their wish and see what would happen. Before guests came to play I asked if there was anything they did not want to share. The toys went up in the closet to stay until their playmates went home. Next time the boys brought fewer toys to the closet. Third time they chose to risk, and share all of the toys. Thankyou Paulo
Dear Paulo what makes a great writer? To sell a lot of books? Don't think so... To have a message to a variety of different people helping to improve their thinking? That's fore sure, and you do both. However, I take a different line on similar issues, please check me out on - Paulo Coelho on Tony Blair - Val Piccinato responds - Val (Dari Luzio))Piccinato
The Wall. First, to see it is there and an encumberance. What melts ice? Warmth! Perhaps using Love, Empathy, Understanding and Compassion (it certainly helps me). Looking for the opportunities to build bridges (enjoying the winter Olympics at the moment), appreciating each other's musical or other talents, beauty, admiring the differences or agreeing to disagree on certain points.
there will always be walls; different shapes; different colors. I think that being separated from each other without having a material wall between us is even worse. It does not give you the excuse to be away from each other and justify the absence becomes impossible and hurtful. I wished there were only material walls to tear down; it would have been easier!!
I guess we should accept the fact of diversity, variety and difference. The whole world was created this way. Just look around. We don't have one kind of trees, we don't even have one kind of water... So I believe there can be no general pattern even for the way of life (especially for the way of life). What is good for one person is simply unbearable for another. After all, there aremore things that unite us, than separate. It can be only "us", not "us" and "them".
After living in germany for 20 years I can still see how this one "wall" still is standing, albeit symbolically. It seems that the subtle differences in people, steming from culture or family upbringing, creates a kind of fear of one another. Some of us are attracted to these differences and float through this wall, while others are afraid of the differences and keep the wall standing. It's somehow a kind of self protection I suppose.Always this fear of the unknown or whats different. Silly..
There are two elements involved in tearing down the wall. The first: People evolve at different rates. Some are further along on the evolutionary ladder than others, yet even those on the lowest rungs serve a purpose. They teach us. The wall can be torn down when those who are more emotionally and spiritually evolved can learn to love, accept and understand those who are not as evolved as they, to reach out in love and not in anger. "Love thine enemy" is the path to tearing down the wall. MB
everyone is different because everyone will see different images and have different feelings that will form a character so it is really noones and everyones fault,so we are not better or worse than anyone nomatter how different we live ourlives, but it is our lives, and we are accountable for them so we should be carefull since waht we give does actually have an impact on the universe .o lets give love,in everything let the voice be filed with kindness and the movements with etherial emotion.
everything is relative,so by changing a way of seeing things,of feeling about something of who nyou are, life will ecome different, people have power,a word can change everything,an image,an experience of one second can define the rest of ones life,so waht happens if everything is denied, rejected, start fom the beginning where you do not anything but you can learn everything, where noone is right nonone is wrong but what feels right and wrong at the present, what lifts you up and gives you wings?
by destroying your own walls of your own castle wether they were build from others or by you in defense , then compassion and understanding be the only treatment to everyone encountered, never judgment so the other can feel comfortable to jump over theirs.
By realising that dfferent does not mean better or worse, by understanding that people do not need to think or act as you for you to love and accept them for who they are. By being exposed to as many cultures and customs as possible and asking ourselves how do they enrich our life? By accepting that the world is big enough and friendly enough for us to all stand side by side and hold hands xxx
I think we shouldent tear down this wall ,we should always remember what they done to us in the past and how they humiliate us,and our childrens in future will see how we lived in such miserable condition.I think instead of breaking the solid wall down, that dosent help in any cases,we should reunion our minds and hearts, show the people who created this wall that they cant stop human beings by creating walls, rules and folish thaughts.I we can tear the wall by our great soul and mind.
people need to learn to get along with others....that can be done with tolerance, love, when we stop fighting and just live our lifes...it is a big job to do...
I think walls can be torn down when we recognize that we are all connected in this thing called Life on an equal playing field doing the best we can. Walls do not have to separate, we can learn to scale them to see what is on the other side if we find ourselves coming upon them. Ultimately, we have to open up our hearts and embrace our perceived differences allowing Love to join us knowing we've nothing to fear from one another but every thing to gain.
I think empathy will tear down the wall. People in this world are so desensitized (and I don't blame them; this world is crazy) and I feel if people could just realize that we are all one, ignorance and walls could be diminished. If you cut any of us, we all bleed. All of us have similar goals of health and happiness. If only there was a way to sensitize human beings so that we could understand this
By knowing all people are born innocent and beauty is within all. Seeing something negative in others helps us define what is positive, vice versa.
When walls have become stagnant and hinder growth we can tear them down with communication, education, freedom of speech , mutual respect, unconditional love e.t.c. and .

Dear Mr. Coelho.
I'm not the expert on this one. In my opinion, one factors why the wall still build caused by "HUMAN EGO"... So the key is "LOVE and HUMAN EGO".....
