The agents were riding on the car behind the President's limo...they were at the end of the public show and were getting ready to make a run for the airport...could explain the increase in speed after the last turn...Pres gets shot...car slows down...agent jumps on the back and speeds off to the hospital instead of the airport. One glaringingly obvious breakdown in security was the open limo but, prior to 11-22-1963, no president had been taken out by a sniper with a high powered rifle.
It just doesn't make any sense why that would have happened. I did a term paper (30 years ago) that could have been a book. If you look up the NY Times for the days preceding the assignation you will see that LBJ refused to ride in the Presidential limo, so that's why the Governor was in there. Also, why was the limo whisked away and restored??? Too many questions about that one. Last, as a shooter, how did the bullet that hit both not have a mark on it? Impossible!

I think that is great that Jackie Kennedy kept that suit on the whole time she was in Dallas and she probably wanted to have the American people to see what had happened to her husband. It is an iconic suit and she looked great in it. Terrible thing that she was wearing it on the day that her husband was murdered.

I think she had heard rumors of a possible assasination, not knowing when or where, though. So, when she said, "They" and "Them", she could have been referring to just people in general, or the 'service. Either way, she was broken by it. Just look at her face when the bullet hit his head, and when Johnson was being sworn in.

I used to go to JFK Catholic High School...and I thought that with the name of someone that had this happen as a school, the people would be at least halfway respectful of each other.....they weren't. It just doesn't make any sense why that would have happened. I did a term paper (30 years ago) that could have been a book. If you look up the NY Times for the days preceding the assignation you will see that LBJ refused to ride in the Presidential limo, so that's why the Governor was in there. Also, why was the limo whisked away and restored??? Too many questions about that one. Last, as a shooter, how did the bullet that hit both not have a mark on it? Impossible!

@TPBXDRicky420 Think about it. If this was really some kind of conspiracy then what good would leaving the country do? If some kind of all powerful secret group of people were behind any of the killings, a country's borders wouldn't stop them from achieving their goals. I think it's more logical to assume when she says "they" she means "Americans". The killers all had political motivations. By leaving the country and staying out of American politics, there would be no motivation.

If I were her..I would feel completely alone without him. You sat there and saw him die :( and you had to leave and get on a plane without him forever..and watch another man become president while her husband was..and those two smiling while she is standing right there..I would feel so utterly and completely alone..and I'd wish I died with him..I would have burst out crying when Lyndon become president..and I could never walk on that plane again without him.ever. Her comment would have made better sense if it were after the conspiracy theories were made public, but this was moments after his death. Most Americans were moarning after his death. @autoad ...that it was an inside job. Only the dumb few cant see that.My opinion: It was the CIA who planned it. they planned the route and chose the spot. They hired the help of the Mob to pull it off. The mob supplied the hitmen, the CIA supplied the cover up. Oswald was in the CIA and was in on the shooting, BUT he was hired to INFILTRATE the group who was supposedly trying to take down JFK. Thats how he got close to all those characters and thats why he was at the scene of the crime.

@autoad Oswald was supposed to die at the scene of the crime but got away, then he was supposed to die when he got back to his house but slipped out before the hitman got there. The hitman was stopped by Tippit, JD gets killed because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Oswald was at the theater to meet his contact David Atlee Phillips(who never showed up)and gets arrested. He was never supposed to be paraded around in front of the press because he would protest his arrest,WHICH HE DID!
