gawd riley is awful...in no small part due to the oline...but he's contributing to the down fall of the program like no other qb in cal history...his loss to OSU two years ago marked the beginning
Riley's mechanics and release are beautiful. He needs to play over Longshore for the rest of the season, starting with UCLA, for the good of this year and next.
Nice job on this video. He definately should have played the whole season. I thought it was unfair for him. I think Longshore is a very good quarterback but he sucked noodles when he got hurt. Riley should have played for him while Longshore was healing. In result of playing longshore the whole time our season went down the drain! I have good hopes for this kid this season
All I gotta say is, some of those sacks he avoided, especially the near safety he took at 2:20, are all plays that Longshore would never have been able to make. That mobility is just one reason why Riley is more dynamic of a quarterback than Longshore. It'll be nice to have a really athletic quarterback for once, we haven't had one since 2004.
Yeah I remember when he was about to get sacked the stadium just held its breath for 2 full seconds. After that and the ensuing drive I really felt we were going to win. :(.
Man, after seeing the final drive (minus the final play) vs. OSU, Riley has "IT". Watching him evade that tackle in our own endzone gave me goosebumps.
Glad you noticed that. Even though it was an incompletion, I put that in there because it was an extremely tense moment for everyone watching. He not only eluded the safety and kept the drive alive, but then he chucked it 40+ yards while on the run. He has elusiveness and a great arm.
I wonder what kevin riley is doing with his life now?

Just the yards the pass clocked, and the quick release, not so much the pass and completion itself.

The pass that he makes a 4:53 is crazy. Elwayish.

I don't get it.. what does that mean? Does it mean Elway always under-threw it? I'm not a Broncos fan.
