  • I just bought this EP, the thing is awesome! Conflux are a seriously good band for a rather strange fusion genre :P

  • i actually like thia, i dont listen to jazz stuff either, i usually need vocals too. but the sax is so good it is the vocals. i have a respect for these guys. im impressed. it might have been weird the first time i heard it but it was soo weird i came back and now...i like it.

  • lol, the guitarist is my guitar teacher.

  • the "promoted videos" given when entering a search term are RETARDED. They have nothing at all to do with what I'm looking for and they annoy the shit out of me.

(this is not one of them)

  • wtf... in a good way

  • My God...this is just too awesome , reminds me of Panzerballet (probably cuz of the sexy sax) anyways , just so great and instrumental! just how I like this type of stuff , no voice could keep up with this.

  • we've been searching for jazz speed metal for ages. this is fucking unreal

  • HOLY CRAP.......THIS IS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Do you guise like Exivious, Gordian Knot, or CHON? 'Cause that's what I think of when I think "jazz metal." This stuff is pretty kewl too though!

  • Jazz + Metal = The ultimate soundtrack for mayhem

  • that sax wandered into the wrong part of town, and he aint goin nowhere

  • beautiful. fucking beautiful

  • I have no idea why the saxophone in this song makes me laugh. The song sounds great and wonderfully jazzy, but I ALWAYS giggle when the saxophone comes in during the first few seconds. I feel almost like the very sound is tickling my eardrums.

  • the problem with this music is it probably won't be succesful...

which it is too bad since today's popular music is so repetitive and boring...

just to say: i like this very much, this is the direction we have to go to discover new music/genres

  • sounds like a jam at my place ', D

  • ok this music owns extremely hard i subbed also i got a boner

  • love it

you guys schould come to the breda jazz festival in the netherlands next year

  • love it

  • 6 people hate the metal and jazz :(

  • Check out T.R.A.M. if you guys don't know already know. They're comprised of the saw player from The Mars Volta, the guitarist from Animals as Leaders, and Eric Moore on drums.

  • when they told me jazzz metal i thought they were talking about atheist, cynic , cause for effect, naked city or exivious now i know they are wrong

    THIS IS JAZZ METAL

  • Now this is great music! Combining metal with other genres (especially with jazz and classical music) makes some of the truly best music! So thanks for uploading this! Btw if you agree and simply like metal (and rock) music general check out my channel and the vids in my favourites!

  • loved it, but laughed my ass off.

  • I was wondering if there was something like jazz metal... this is brilliant and disturbing at the same time xD

  • I love how people always say that they want more jazz in metal and talk about how much they appreciate jazz, and then when a 50/50 mixture of metal and jazz like this comes out they all criticize it for being too light.

  • Wooow!! Awesome...really magnificient

  • name the band confused!

  • the sax is so catchy

  • kinda sounds like An Endless Sporadic.

  • I play sax and dude seriously it does not sound heavy enough, i dont blame the sax player because im sure he could of accommodated a heavier style... i personally love heavy ass metal and i think the song writer should have that in mind, the fact that metal in this day and age is heavy

  • It just sounds like punk with a sax. boring.

  • Haha, genius!

  • i can't take it seriously, the sax is too light and happy

  • Jazz metal fusion new? Uh no, listen to Athiests first two albums. This is like contemporary jazz mixed with metal, which doesn't really fit too much.

  • @cookiesnclams If you want really awesome jazz/death metal mix check out "trepalium" especially their song "Sick boogie murder" but good luck getting it out of your head

  • whoa...this is... new, do u think that this kind of genre will go far???

  • horrible

  • the mixture is a little odd. I noticed power metal influences?

  • 3 dislikers:

you can get the hell out of here because you don't have any sense of appreciating excellent music :)

  • this is the only type of music to really need to be in itunes!

  • @rudiiwii1 - It is on iTunes!

  • I love that music!!

  • wow.. i love it!

  • Aside from all the LOLing, you can't deny the epicness. Sweet melodies tbh.

  • This is TRUE JAZZ METAL !!!!

  • The metal Coltrain! C:

  • best song ever, srs

  • omg i'm gonna love you guys

  • like panzerballet,but a li'l bit different,either way I loved your sound.

  • nice!

  • this is the first time ive heard ov you guys. I FUCKIN LOVE IT!!!!

  • fail you guys used the sax on the wrong time

  • I think when people say they laugh at this, they're not laughing At it, they're laughing WITH it. lol, I mean, I think it is awesome in the most brutally ridiculous way, an oxymoron of epicness, as it were. I love it. :D haha

  • On art everything is possible and must be accepted.

Any way, a big and loooooooooooooooong LOL was (unfortunately) unavoidably.

    Let's face it.

  • To be frank it doesn't capture my attention because it seems like the metal in the song is overpowering the jazz that is trying to be cool in this awkward mix up.

  • that sax needs some effects ASAP.

  • Doesn't really work in my opinion. I still find it peculiar and innovative.

  • Wild! Best heavy fusion I've heard since Lost Tribe. Even better than Lost Tribe imo. Please keep coming out with more & post the tunes on youtube so I can help promote. I'm sold. Excellent music!!

  • This is pretty frikin awesome. Original as well. Hope you come out with many more songs.

  • this is weirdly awesome

  • the beginning reminds me of something. but i can't quite catch it. completely breathtaking tho!

  • absolutely amazing

  • I literally LOL'ed when the sax came in. This is pretty sweet though.

  • @largemoose lol i did the same thing but with naked city on the song bone head glad to see im not alone in this world

  • @largemoose Any LOL-ing is definitely a compliment, not an insult :). Honestly, we love that people get the humor in it! There's something inherently ridiculous and self-serious about both jazz and heavy metal, and we like to have fun playing with genre conventions and turning expectations upside down. Plus there's no reason that great music can't also be fun and funny to listen to.

  • @ConfluxMusic That's something I really want to learn to do. Add humor to my music that is, looks like I'll be checking you guys out a lot more!

  • oh man, FIRST SECOND MADE ME LAUGH, haha!! ^

    great man!

  • i cant wait till scremo dies

  • I think the only band close to this sound is Panzerballet

  • HAHAHA!!! This is AWESOME!!!!

  • Anyone else hear a bit of the Theme Hospital song in the sax part?

  • @helpiveimploded lol yes

  • @helpiveimploded You are absolutely right! It sounds like: Theme Hospital Music - Night Shift (Sound Blaster 16/OPL3 version)

  • wow i have been thinking of music like this in my head for a long time.. this is really, really interesting and original in my opinion.

  • I wish this guys can become a hit!!!!!

  • This is just to awesome. I love musical innovation. everybody's copying somebody else exept musicians like this.

  • I like it!

  • what i would consider a really good jazz metal song is from Slipknot, its called Bitch Slap, a preety good song

  • @ImpendingDoom1147 Not just jazzy though. Has a lot of funk.

  • @Nannirk Well yeah, i guess

  • HAHA, this actually isnt bad. just IMO id have a heavier instrument on the heavy parts, like a guitar or piano playing the main melody, then on the softer parts switch back to sax. very awesome tho

  • I definitely have to give points for originality

  • this doesnt sound too bad i guess.

  • you guys are awesome love it <3

  • Keep going guys. You're unique out there. Nothing quite like this. Keep pushing the boundaries and experimenting guys.

  • dont be a band....

  • @Frtlss Why the hell not?

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • Truly unique and exceptionally awesome. I've never heard anything quite like this.

  • This is quite a bit better than the Lady Gaga cover IMO.

  • This is awesome! Keep it coming!

  • noice! sounds good yo
