  • I love Bernie explain what's a flashdrive!!!! Nice

Ebay it's cool.....but watch out the warnings

  • I had a similiar problem, but mine had a virus on it!

  • My friend recently got a 128GB USB stick and its best unreliable and slow for him. Maybe its a false one too. Great vlog.

  • i got my sandisk ultra backup 16gb for 30 dollars on ebay and mines a legit drive

  • have fun on your trip :) good sir

  • Newegg rocks, I ordered lots of stuff from them. Glad you get you money back.

  • ebays full off fakes ugg boots, iphones , ghd , designer clothes even ps3 and xbox360 consoles , ebay needs shutting down if you ask me

  • WOw this was new to me.

glad to hear too, that it all worked out :)

    cheers

  • Hmm same thing has just happened to me Bernie.. Arggh they are crooks, but I will be getting a refund, and if not I will report them to ebay and paypal, as I have some evidence of the fake memory stick. I used a program called h2testw_1.4 (google it) and it tests the drive and displays the true space. Mine came out as 7.4gb corrupt (from an 8gb stick) so I have evidence of a bad memory stick. Please people be aware of these people, they are scammers.

  • hi i bought a 16gb memory stick for only £10 and when it arrived it looked very smart and it had the little sticker on it saying "16gb" but when i out it in the computer it wouldnt work at all. i sent it back for replacement and they kept it and ignored all of my e-mails. i had been ripped off!

  • did you use the credit card to buy it sir ^_^

  • I sure did, but they did put a credit through and I did end up getting my money back.

  • yeah i got an 8gig pro duo off ebay for 40 bucks no shipping from puorto rico

  • Thank your for your effort to expose crooks. If there were more like you then EBAY would go broke I imagine as most of EBAY sells fake from the dealers. Hardly anything is really worth a thing, some is, but most no. Thanks again for helping out with that knowledge.

  • Glad to hear it all worked out!

  • Hey kewl! Italy! Where? Want to e-mail me your time-table and maybe we could meet up for lunch if you are up north somewhere?

PS - avoid Milano! Sights are fine, but pollution and arrogance are at an all-time high!

    HUGS!

  • Well Marianne: We are going to be in Rome, then Florence, Tuscany and the Amalfi coast. it's only a 12 day trip with a group (Cosmos) We've never been to Italy, so we'll see. I hear Italy is famous for its pickpockets??

    All the Best

    Bernie

  • A bit too far south for a quick lunch-date, then. Pity.

I haven't heard of lots of pick-pockets, but it is never a bad idea to secure important items. Most hotels have in-room safes these days, so put passports and spare money in there. Make sure your wife takes a purse she can wear in a safe manner and with a solid strap.

Italians are most known around here for their crazy driving and their wonderful food! Totally enjoy your trip!!!

  • newegg is a great site.i always buy anything computer related from there.

  • Tell me, jchiar:

You seem to be savvy: Somebody suggested I go to this site:

    frexis.*com/PCTV13.html (DELETE the *)

Supposedly you can see worldwide TV on your computer. But what's with "Delete *". Why put it in in the first place? Can you figure this out and is it any good?

    Thanks

    Bernie

  • I think you have to delete the asterisk because YouTube does not allow you to put links in the comments so they can rid the comments from spammers. Unfortunately, it adversely affects those of us who try to post legitimate links.

  • Looks to me like just another advertising scheme because I'll bet if you lose that piece of software they'll make you pay for it again. I would have to say don't give them your credit card information. I clicked purchase and it went to e-junkie before going to pay-pal. If that doesn't sound fishy I don't know what does. Also, to be honest, I have no clue why they put the aterisk * in there to begin with.

  • Bernie feedback means nothing on ebay, I learned the hard way too. I spent $550 USD on a fake worth maybe $180, the fellow selling the item had 100% positive feedback.

  • I have bought things from Ebay without any problems. I make sure the seller is not from China or other questionable country. My son bought some parts for his truck but from a local California seller they actually have a store. However you are right to be careful. My son would not buy anything for his computer on Ebay the majority of the stuff is fake. Looking forward to your video and photos of Italy. Have a great holiday trip.

  • Thanks for the warning, Bernie. I like dealing with NewEgg. Haven't had a problem yet with them. You take care on your trip.
