@jkmcy09 By older children, they generally mean about 12 years or older. It also depends on a child's maturity level because I have a maltese/poodle mix and an 8 year old little brother and he's rarely rough with it but when he is rough he doesn't realize it. The most he ever did was pull it's tail. I would still reccomend it for much older kids though.
