IF FF7 does get remade then they HAVE to offer the fans multiple languages with subtitles. I HATED playing Crisis with shitty English actors, it was fucking awful. Still after all this time no official jap version for English players as far as i am aware. I don't want a remake for this reason, i don't trust them to do it right.

The PS3 hardware didn't exist at E3 2005, the tech demo may have been running in real time but it wasn't running on PS3 hardware.

There was a lot of "real time" video and demos at E3 that year, but very few of it was running on the actual hardware it was intended to run on.

I kind of prefer the tech demo over the Crisis Core version. I liked the lighting, music, and sound effects better in the tech demo. Also, I think something looks kind of funny about Aerith in the Crisis Core version, but I can't figure out what it is...

I like the quality of the Crisis Core version, but for the other reasons I prefer the tech demo.

The crisis core version has post processing, depth of field, and better lighting. after actually seeing the two face to face, i actually believe Square's word that it was rendered in real time, as its missing some lighting effects, has no depth of field, has no post processing, etc.

Two Things I don't get:

1. Zack was killed by Shinra, Cloud knew this. Even though he knew, at the ending, he says: I'm Cloud, 1st Class Soldier. ...wtf? He's serving Shinra? After they killed Zack??? No logic there.

2. After Cloud says all that, he jumps off the train and then Barret comes up and tells him to move on. From that moment he's part of the anti-shinra group Avalanche. While a minute ago he said on the train that he's 1st Class Soldier???

This doesn't make sense at all.

play crisis core and it'll make sense. to keep Zack's legacy going, cloud creates memories of himself actually being a soldier first class. he was there for alot of Zack's missions, so he starts putting himself in Zack's place, actually believing himself to be a soldier and that Zack never existed.

cloud's memory merged with zack's, because of that, cloud thought that he is zack. remember that zack and cloud were on nibelheim and hojo used them as a experiment with mako. that is the time when cloud and zack merged memory. hard to explain...

Well, in FF7 soldier didn't exist at all (remember how the soldier HQ got destroyed in FF7CC and many of the 1st/2nd soldiers (backbone of SOLDIER) were annihilated there)?

So only the remnants of SOLDIER exists and those remnants formed an anti-Shinra organisation called AVALANCHE (Cloud is in it)

and basically, Cloud's memories are influenced by Zack. Only Zack made it as the last Soldier First Class, while Cloud never made it to SOLDIER.

The PSP can't come close to the PS3. Crisis Core was using pre-redendered scenes/CGI, whilst the tech demo was in-game. Crisis Core had the edge, but the tech demo looks pretty sweet and I'm sure with polish it'd look pretty stunning.

Square Enix just said it will never happen because the production time for a remake would be around 5 to 10 Years. Basicly not worth it. You can find the details online very easy even the Square Enix interview about it.
